It was very clean. The cleaning staff were always busy. They did a great job with a very busy campground.

Right next to the very loud highway, amenities close at 9pm, bathrooms were very dirty. 70$ a night just to tent in a gravel lot that you couldn't even stake the tent in. I would recommend this place to anyone who couldn't find a hotel as the price is comparable.

It’s nice place with out any doubt. But I show a snake in the camp ground .

Very clean bathrooms/showers. Beautiful pool. Easy on/off highway. Stores & gas close driving distance.

This KOA was very strange- not happy to stay there. Water in shower was very hot, dangers for skin , for head parts......There is no regulation for temperature of water. Walking along river unpleasant , going down to river on path is very steep , danger......To expensive for this place.... I was tenting....

Great Stopover place if you are coming up from Montana or if your going to Waterton or Writing on Stone Lovely secluded spot Only disadvantage is the 1 bathroom block miles away from the sites. Road noise is clearly heard but easily lockable that you can't hear it after awhile Great staff and amenities

A very nice place to camp. All the staffs are great and friendly. Laundry/shower/washroom area are very nice and clean. We enjoyed swimming in the pool. They have a nice nature trail if you like to have a walk.

Nice camp ground. Clean and friendly. But…… Not able to have a camp fire due to no firepits. Loud traffic noise due to loud vehicles and motorcycles going up and down the steep grade highway. Semi truck make it even worse. Need earplugs for a good night sleep.

While your site said some construction it was supposed to be over mid July. We were there end of July. ALL NIGHT LONG POUNDING METAL BEAMS!!! Jake brakes on trucks and NO tent pad. We were on rocks!

We were groups of 3 sites and assigned on each other's side as requested. The shower system of 7 minutes token is more than enough to complete your bath. The power outlet keeps on tripping but we were helped by one of the staff. The washing basin is not free flowing so water is stagnant and smelly. Beware of snakes. To sum up our stay, it was satisfactory.

I like the place, clean and the staffs are very accomodating. Glad I have seen this place. I had a very relaxing days during my stay in this place.

Perfect to a family gathering and friends, Scott, Todd n Dave they are all friendly and considerate. Pool is clean, it just the time of operations is a bit late and too early for closing. 12-8pm. Other than that it’s totally fantastic.ϋ

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very clean washroom and shower facilities. Wifi connectivity in the campsites could be better but otherwise another great stay, I will be back in the future.

Tent sites are private and well spaced apart. Surfaces are gravel. Restrooms are clean and well maintained. Confirmation e-mail DID NOT contain correct directions to the campground. Go to the campground website for directions to the campground. This KOA probably has the most signs regarding rules, regulations I have ever seen. It’s visual overload!

On a long motorcycle trip it was reassuring to have a quality KOA to pitch my tent for the night. Facilities were top notch, so was the scenery of Lethbridge. I will be back!

Excellent washroom facilities, we stayed on the "wilderness" side which was a little scruffy but adequate.

Can't complain. Always love the Wilderness section of the campground. A little pricey to simply pitch a tent for a couple nights, but definitely worth it. The high price helps to deter and keep the trouble makers out, since it's so close to town.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for the comments. We appreciate your returning to our campground!

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The bathrooms and the entire facility were exceptionally clean. The location is incredible. If I were to suggest anything it would be to maybe open the store a bit earlier or have a vending machine outside with drinks. I also would have liked a firepit or my camp sight. But all in all 10/10 experience for me. Thank you KOA! I will return.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the comments. We no longer have fire pits as we are normally in a fire ban for most of our season and they were being used as trash bins and not used for their intended purpose. The store is open 9AM to 9PM but we will look into the vending machine thought.

The front desk staff were more than just welcoming enough upon checking in, and, upon checking out, even helped me find a good breakfast restaurant quite nearby.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for letting us know that our staff are doing a great job of welcoming you to our property. They certainly do their very best!

I've never pitched a tent on gravel before? The tent sites need grass.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You need to do more camping! Many sites in campgrounds are gravel or sand as tents on grass actually kill the grass especially in drier climates. We also recommend a good air mattress for your camping comfort.

Far away from the main building. No washroom nearby. The water spray around from the tap and no control.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

As per KOA standards all of our tenting sites are within the required distance to the restrooms.

The tent site was on the rock, it was not fun

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our website clearly states our tenting sites are gravel pads.

I loved how clean and neat all the amenities were. People / staff were so friendly and nice. I personally didn't like the tall grass and wild plants that definitely hide some wild animals that sounds walking through them at night. I would prefer grass and a more neat environment at the Tent site.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our river valley is a conservation area. As such we are not permitted to change the arboriculture of this area. "Wild animals" are not large - the majority are bush bunnies or small scavangers that are looking for food that has been left out or thrown into the bushes.

It’s too bad the pool doesn’t open until noon. It would be great to have the kids swim from 10-11 while we pack up and check out. Tire them out a bit before the next long drive.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Our hours are based on the cleaning of our pool and our restrooms as they have to be ready for when the pool opens. As these are the only restrooms it is difficult for our staff to close and get all the cleaning done before our next guests arrive and the pool opens. Sorry about that.

It was tough to put tent pegs into the ground in the wilderness section and without being able to tie anything to the trees, it makes it difficult to keep a tent standing. Great stay otherwise, friendly helpful staff and clean facilities

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately with the very hot dry weather and the riverbed soil it can be difficult to peg things down. Being part of the conservation area of the river valley we need to ensure the health of our trees which has been difficult due to drought & things being tied to them.

The campground was nice and the owners friendly. The stone based tent camp sites were not that pleasant. Thankfully we had air mattresses, but kneeling in the tent was difficult. The site itself was a good size and fairly private. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. While we were packing up to leave, there was an awful sewage smell for about 10 minutes. That was unfortunate. Thank you.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for the comments. The sewage smell did not come from our campground but from the neighboring farmer that was completing his field fertilization. Sorry about that.

The campground staff is amazing. Not an ideal location for tent campers as it’s right off the highway. I was camped beside meth users that the police were looking for my first night (not sure how they were allowed to camp there in the first place), but my experience wasn’t completed tainted as the staff were helpful in moving me to another campsite.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Unfortunately drug users can be anywhere. Once we became aware of the situation we worked together with the police to remove them from our park.

Friendly and hardworking staff. Place is very clean.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you- Our staff work so hard to keep it looking awesome. We will pass your comments on to them to encourage their efforts.

We have never stayed at a KOA before and were pleasantly surprised. Our tent site had some trees and was fairly private. The staff were extremely friendly, organized and helpful. The entire campsite and all amenities were very clean. It was fairly rainy so we spent some time in the large well kept games room playing pool and shuffle board. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Was a pretty park. Staff were Friendly Too many rules and not enforced by anyone. Dogs were walked without leases. Couldn’t hang a tarp, had to put our fire out , grate over fire pit was difficult to make a meal over it. Won’t stay at Koa again

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Southern AB has common weather patterns called chinook winds which can very quickly come up and gust to 100KM/hr. Our city bylaws state NO FIRES with winds gusting or sustained at 30km/hr as a result. We cannot be every all the time but we do enforce the rules as we are made aware of issues.

Everything good. However we saw a snake, the day we were about to depart. But they mentioned its bot poisonous, however my family would have scared to sleep inside the tent if we saw it earlier.

Service was great. Filled up my propane tank and delivered it to me for a very fair price on the propane. Very private site near the river. It felt almost like a provincial site. Showers were hot, very clean and LONG (8 minutes). Only downside is it's close to the highway and when a semi downshifts at 2:30am, it wakes you up, even in an RV.

Very clean campground a bit noisy since you're beside the highway.
