    Meet Your Hosts

    Ron and Kathy Regehr

A bad day camping is still better than a good day working!

We joined the tourism industry in 2017 after spending 29 years in the healthcare industry. Ron worked in Diagnostic Imaging with expertise in Nuclear Medicine and MRI Technology. Kathy worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of areas that included Neuro ICU, ER, Medicine and HealthCare Education and held specialties in High Fidelity Simulation. Both held positions in management. Working in these stressful jobs created the need to find a way to remove, rest and relax!
Camping for us has always been our best time of removing ourselves, resting and relaxing.  Some of our most treasured moments have been camping with our children while staying at KOA campgrounds. Although our kids are now grown adults, they still talk about those KOA campgrounds we stayed at and about wanting to go back!
We have managed this park since the spring of 2017 when we joined the tourism industry, and we have enjoyed working in the park and with our Summerhill Resort owners and more recently the KOA team. We are always learning something new!
We love KOA for its consistency in service - you always know that you will receive high-quality camping experiences and that the staff will be there to assist you.
