Too many tress to navigate a large rig. Staff very nice

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We're sorry about the issue you had here...The Campground is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains and is a haven in the Summer with its cool crisp air and large green open space. Fifty % of our business is big rigs. Our guests tell us they love the trees here. Alternatively, we have a row

Staff friendly. Bathrooms and laundry nice and clean. Site long enough to accommodate long 5th wheel with ample parking for tow vehicle. Water system is gravity fed and doesn't provide enough pressure for on demand water heater or decent other uses. Had to fill on board water tank and use on board water pump for proper pressure. Overall campground clean but could use some landscape trim wo

Woman who we spoked to didn't listen to details about our RV. Had to move to second site. She told us about breakfast but failed to tell us you have to sign up for it. So we weren't allowed to have breakfast.

Lady who checked us in was amazing but a lot of long term residents who obviously had older units and did not project an appearance that is and should be expected with KOA.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We have several long term sites taken right now by by highly paid electrical linesman replacing power lines in the City. They have excellent manners and work long hours. They have completed 90% of their work and are expected to be leaving soon.

Staff was great! The space for our 44’ MH had no clearance on either side due to construction. Will be a nice park someday.

A well Laid out and well maintained campground. Friendly staff. A good place to stop as a transition to your next trip point or for several days to explore the area. No matter what you trip plans, this KOA is a good place to stop with easy access to I-25 north or south.

We were able to make a reservation over the phone for the late arrival on day of travel. Very nice, polite and efficient gentleman made the late arrival easy. Bathrooms are clean. Park was quiet and room for our dogs to run after a day of driving. Will definitely stop in again when traveling I25.

Nice, simple park. Very quiet overnight, which we enjoyed. As an added bonus, the site was level which makes set up easy. I would highly recommend this park for anyone looking to stay in the Northern New Mexico area.

Great older KOA just 8 miles from Las Vegas, NM. The slot had a grade to enter it but was level once you made the grade. The water pressure is 22 pounds (gravity feed) so don’t expect much there. It wasn’t an issue for us. They tell you about the water pressure up front so no surprises. The staff was great!

One night stay. Pulled in late and left the next AM. Primary concern was that our 30 amp plug in was broken, exposing the contacts and not securely holding the plug. It was space 50. Please let them know. Thx

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your recommendations....We couldn't find a loose plug there. The plug was tight. Could you have mistaken the plug wires for the heat tape for the frost free spigot?

Living in NV. We had to stay in Las Vegas NM. The local golf course was closed from flooding. Koa allowed us to shorten our stay without hesitation. We will be back

stayed at 3 different koa's on this trip, Las Vegas, NM KOA was the only koa who followed my special requests. To face north and satellite friendly.

Liked the staff and campgrpund. Gravity water was low pressure. The paved road to the KOA from the interstate was really bumpy and old and worse than a gravel road with ripples. Hope the state or county paves it cause this is something that this KOA had no control over.

everything was good until we ran into the 22 psi water pressure. If you research New State Regulations, you are breaking state law with you water pressure. Depending on what type of facility you have, the minimum water pressure ranges from 30 psig to 40 psig. Any lower than that and you need to order a boil water notice due to bad constituents siphoning into the water system

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

The water pressure is generally around 30 psi at that site most of the day. Often, the problem is that the guests are not pulling the lever all the way up on the frost-free faucet. State policy requires that we have a cert water manager and that person has to send samples monthly to a laboratory.

We enjoyed our stay there but a few problems came up. Our site was not wide enough for our motorhome. There was a dangerous drop off on one side. My husband fell as he came out the door. The water pressure is very low. I also fell walking up the hill. The loose stones were the cuprit. A young man helped me up. Both of us have bruises and cuts. Manager and staff were very nice.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We enjoyed visiting with you at your site last week. This Site is popular for its wooded setting. The trees, your rigs size and pull outs did reduce the site's width. And the recent rains did loosen the ground on some streets. We strive to maintain safety in the Park.

Easy in, easy out. Generally quiet even with close proximity to the interstate. Wifi not dependable but 5G tower is close by. This is my go-to stop between 2 very long days of driving.

The Campground was clean and the people were very friendly. They offered a very nice selection of breakfast foods for $8. It was quiet and away from town just far enough to not be disturbed.

Just an overnight for us but the place is clean well attended! Everyone was friendly and helpful! We got a large pull thru so we didn’t need to in hook our truck! The breakfast was good for an additional 8.00 They have a dog park enclosed so you can let them run free for a bit! The ground were beautiful lots of places to walk and sit! The price is good Yes we will stay here again!

Great location for us because it sits between two national parks, Pecos and Fort Union. Very clean restrooms and good laundry facilities. People were very nice and friendly. Good dog park with bags. The only complaint we had was that the pool was closed for maintenance.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you for your nice comments....Pool was only down for 2 days. If you have equipment you have unexpected maintenance. It's open again and wont have to close again until late September.

The office staff was great! She helped us switch sites and was friendly and professional. The pool was closed which was a disappointment. The online registration was not great. The reason for the 8 above is that sites and small and water and electric can be a bit away from the site so if you don’t have a long cord it would be difficult.

A very pleasant campground. The owners are as nice as could be! I enjoyed the hiking trail around the perimeter of the property. It's about .6 miles long. I'd gladly stay here again.

Our stay was great. The site is very cleans and well kept. Our RV slide broke when we tried to leave so we had to extend our stay and the staff worked through the reservation and work out for us to stay in out current spot. During a very stressful situation, they were so kind and accommodating.

Super nice young lady at check in, they have a cat to greet you at the office. Rock pull through, mostly level, picnic table with wind shelter. Water pressure seems a little low but works fine. Quiet stop.
