What a Wild & Wacky Day at the Oatman Bed Race!

If you’ve never been to the Oatman Bed Race, put it on your must-do list right now — because this year’s race was an absolute blast from start to finish!

Right in the middle of historic Route 66, the streets of Oatman turned into a rolling, laughing, cheering racetrack packed with creative beds, costumed teams, and tons of old-west charm. From the moment the first bed hit the pavement, the whole town felt like one big celebration. Teams sprinted down the street pushing their beds as fast as they could, trying not to wobble, crash, or lose their riders along the way. It was hilarious, chaotic, and so much fun to watch!

And of course, it wouldn’t be Oatman without the donkeys. They were everywhere — strolling down the streets like they owned the place, stopping traffic, posing for photos, and happily soaking up attention (and snacks), just added to the adventure and made the day even more unforgettable.

One of the highlights was the western street show. The shootout performances were awesome — full of cowboys, outlaws, dramatic standoffs, and plenty of laughs. The actors really brought the Old West to life, and the crowd loved every minute of it. It felt like stepping straight into a classic western movie.

Between the bed races, the donkeys, the street show, and all the Route 66 shops and food, there was never a dull moment. Families, kids, and visitors of all ages were smiling, cheering, and having the best time together.
