We very much enjoyed staying in the caboose. This was our first experience staying at a KOA. We would like to come back and stay again. Very peaceful and relaxing.

We stayed in the caboose which was fine for our stay since we spent most of the time in our friends RV. The Caboose was clean, the bed was comfortable. The view of the river was the best part of the trip, so relaxing to sit on the benches facing the river. Every staff member that we had contact with was friendly and helpful. Check-in?check-out was a breeze. I would give it 5 stars..

This is a small and nice campground. The road noise is low and not very busy, especially at night. The river sound is relaxing and the beach is somewhere to spend some time. I would highly recommend this location.

We booked very last minute and only stayed for a night but we will definitely be back for a longer stay! Everyone was amazing, things were very clean and we overall really enjoyed our stay!

I stayed in the 1949 Vintage camper for 2 nights. Perfect for one, two if you are small and/or short. Bathroom was very nice and clean. Camp Host was super helpful.

I was comfortable in cabin. Luxury of two TVs was a bonus. Especially on rainy days. The wooded scenery and the river and the robins and one gray squirrel ���� enhanced the forest feel. People who run and work the KOA were extremely pleasant and went out of their way to make me feel at home. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the KOA to anyone who loves nature and the outdoors.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everyone was very nice and very accommodating made us feel very welcome and if we are able we will definitely stay there again. Also cabin was very nice and clean as was the campground, we are excited to be able to stay there again.

We stayed in the unique caboose- it was wonderful! Clean, comfy bed, cushy towels, beautiful environment and river view. I’m sorry I couldn’t stay longer!

This is one of my favorite places to stay. Every time I visit, I meet wonderful people, both staff and campers. The grounds are well-kept, the store well-stocked. The ease of checking in and out and the helpfulness of the staff is superior. The campground is safe, cozy, quiet, and beautiful with the rushing and picturesque Nolichucky River racing by. Perfect!

Wife and I were very much in need of a place stay that evening. Staff had very short notice, but they eagerly helped us successfully book one of the caboose rooms for that evening. It was very clean and ready. We were there only a short time, but so well accommodated and staff was wonderful. We had been there last April for a wonderful weekend with my sons family. Would recommend to anyone.

Great location, loved the caboose but I would stay at any of the sites or lodging choices. Staff was great met me after hours with the key. Wish I stayed longer than 1 night- I will plan on returning!

Great staff! They help with everything and more, very inviting, nice and super friendly. Very nice bathroom and shower, the best we’ve seen in a KOA camp ground. Beautiful scenery, close to everything you would want to do.

Did a multi-family trip & couldn’t be happier with our experience. The location sat on the river which is accessible for fishing & wading and our children had fun playing various games (football, tag, hide & seek) in the open area - they didn’t stop going all day long. Our group did RV camping, tent camping & cabins & had sufficient space for gatherings. The staff is very friendly & efficie

We stayed in the caboose as we were in the area for a convention. Rather than stay in a hotel I needed a place for my toddler to run off some pent up energy and your campground was perfect! Although we were unable to avail ourselves of many of your scheduled events it is something we may return and just be there for the camping experience. Thanks for welcome!

We loved the accommodations in the caboose- the pond was fun to fish, fire pit at the site was amazing and morning coffee on the porch with the river sounds behind just was what the soul needed.

We had an amazing stay at the Jonesborough/Cherokee NF KOA. The campground is situated close to the Cherokee NF along the Nolichucky River. It’s beautiful and peaceful. You can hear the river flowing and the birds singing. Clean and well cared for park. We stayed in the Caboose Suite for a fun experience. It’s lovely and also full bath with shower. Great experience. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the cabin over a long weekend. The accommodations were clean and as described. Every member of staff was accommodating and friendly. They were great with the kids, and they had a couple of free activities for them to do. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

It’s a beautiful campground and the staff are super nice and attentive. My suggestions; install lighting in the caboose parking area and/or provide parking in frt of the caboose. A sidewalk path from the BK to the frt of the caboose would be most beneficial too since luggage doesn’t roll over gravel. Also stabilize the caboose. It rocks horribly when you or your neighbor walks around.

This campground was a beautiful hidden gem in an area that was new to us. The river and mountain views were outstanding, and we loved that the campground was small but still had the amenities we like. It was close to natural areas, historic sites, and interesting restaurants without being crowded or busy. The hosts and owners were helpful and friendly. We will definitely go back.

Hosts were very friendly and helpful before and during our Caboose 3 night stay. Very comfortable for two adults. Good quality bed linens and plush bath towels. Two things I would add for creature comfort: hair dryer and microwave:-)

Beautiful location. Nicely kept. Camp shower/restroom extremely well kept. Very nice and helpful staff. Caboose rooms could use a microwave and maybe a small dresser and coat hangers but it was comfortable and clean. A path to them that doesn’t make you walk through the grass. But the Caboose rooms are overall a good alternative if you aren’t camping and includes a deck and fire ring!

The staff at this KOA are SUPER friendly, from start to finish! The river is perfect for dropping in and taking a short paddle. The only thing I wish our cabin had was a covered area outside that would've allowed us to still be outside in the rain.

It was absolutely amazing! The staff was on point with everything! The sites were all very well taken care of and most importantly the cabin was just exceptional! Staff and campground made our week long stay fabulous! Looking forward to coming back!!

We stayed in a cabin, and it was perfect for our needs. It was small and simply furnished, but just what we needed for our family of 4. The kids loved their bunkbed nook. It comes equipped with everything you need to make a simple meal, (except a cooking range or oven). That was fine with us since we were primarily planning on using the grill anyway. The campsite was well-maintained.
