We stayed directly on the river so the surroundings were great. Smaller KOA and ample room between camp sites. Clean bath house but we used our full hookup instead. No pool but you have the river. Location is great for visiting Jonesborough and Johnson City. Staff was extremely friendly. We are definitely going back to this one.

Hola mi nombre es Marino Diaz, estuve 3 dias en este lugar y es maravilloso, a la orilla del rio y lo mas lindo es la atencion del personal siempre atentos a todo momento y es un sitio donde hay mucha tranquilidad y se relaja uno en la noche con el oir el sonido del rio, y ademas Johnson City esta muy cerca asi como los shoppings y se puede uno mover a cualquier sitio , Gadlinberg, Pigeon Forge

We planned for a quick overnight stay but would definitely return for a longer trip. The management was fantastic. After hours check in was so easy and the communication was beyond what we anticipated. The resort was so clean and the kids loved the play area.

Nice campgrounds in general. They need to place a few garbage/ pet cans around the campgrounds. If you walk a dog you will need to car the mess to your campsite or the main dumpsters. No trashcan anywhere.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry for any inconvenience concerning the trash/pet cans. With our park in a National Forest we are limited to how many trash/pet cans we can have around the park due to animal activity in our campground. We hope you otherwise enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you in the fall!

This was a lovely campground. It is located next to a vibrant river. The camp hosts and manager were so kind and accomodating. We definitely enjoyed our short stay (3 nights) at this campground. Next time: we plan to stay longer!

Your KOA location is by the far the nicest we’ve stayed in! You greeted us with a warm smile, the campground is gorgeous and well appointed, and the bathrooms were pristine. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you!!

Wi-Fi and cable not great but it's the river that makes you comeback again and again.

We are sorry you had issues with the Wi-Fi and cable. Here are a few troubleshooting ideas for the Wi-Fi 1-restart your device 2-go to your internet settings, click on the (i), forget the network, then re-log-in. For cable call the office we will come check it. We AGREE on the beautiful river!

This is a small and nice campground. The road noise is low and not very busy, especially at night. The river sound is relaxing and the beach is somewhere to spend some time. I would highly recommend this location.

This is hands down the nicest KOA I've ever been to. There's not a bad spot on the grounds. I was lucky enough to get a spot right on the water. The people who run the place are so nice and helpful The bathrooms are spotless and the showers are nice and warm. I'm definitely coming back. One week is not enough! Oh and the pizza they offer is delicious.

Excellent week of camping & hiking nearby trails. Campground personnel were very friendly & helpful. Would be nice if they picked up trash from campsites like other KOAs do.

We booked very last minute and only stayed for a night but we will definitely be back for a longer stay! Everyone was amazing, things were very clean and we overall really enjoyed our stay!

I stayed in the 1949 Vintage camper for 2 nights. Perfect for one, two if you are small and/or short. Bathroom was very nice and clean. Camp Host was super helpful.

easy check in. helpful people working there. lovely spot where we weren't too far from the toilets or the river. the best part was lying in my sleeping bag listening to the river; it's the best white noise ever and drowned out other noises like frogs, crickets, etc.

This was my first experience staying at a KOA, and I would definitely stay here again!

I was comfortable in cabin. Luxury of two TVs was a bonus. Especially on rainy days. The wooded scenery and the river and the robins and one gray squirrel ���� enhanced the forest feel. People who run and work the KOA were extremely pleasant and went out of their way to make me feel at home. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the KOA to anyone who loves nature and the outdoors.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Everyone was very nice and very accommodating made us feel very welcome and if we are able we will definitely stay there again. Also cabin was very nice and clean as was the campground, we are excited to be able to stay there again.

Hosts were very helpful and friendly. The property and bathrooms were clean and inviting. It was nice and quiet for sleeping. The river was a beautiful view.

Great little place on the river. Very clean and well kept. Would be perfect for a summer stay. Close enough to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. There is quite a bit of road noise up front. It’s a small 2 lane road but very busy. Wi-fi was “ok”…we needed it because there was NO signal with T-Mobile. Overall, a good little place with very nice folks.

Last camping trip of the year. Glad I stayed at JONESBOROUGH/CHEROKEE KOA. Beautyful Campground and river. All the camp host and Maintenace people were very friendly. I will come back when it is wormer.

We stayed in the unique caboose- it was wonderful! Clean, comfy bed, cushy towels, beautiful environment and river view. I’m sorry I couldn’t stay longer!

This is one of my favorite places to stay. Every time I visit, I meet wonderful people, both staff and campers. The grounds are well-kept, the store well-stocked. The ease of checking in and out and the helpfulness of the staff is superior. The campground is safe, cozy, quiet, and beautiful with the rushing and picturesque Nolichucky River racing by. Perfect!

My husband, our great Dane, and I stayed at your campground for the first time over the Thanksgiving holiday. We had a wonderful time, and everyone was so accommodating and friendly. We definitely plan to come back and stay again next time we’re down in Tennessee. Also, the bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen at any type of camping facility. Five stars!

The staff extended a warm welcome and were very helpful. The facilities were impeccably clean! We loved having a cute patio area with furniture and fire pit. We cherished a delightful morning stroll along the beautiful river bank. This is our second time staying overnight at a KAO site during our AT hiking travels and very pleased with our time here. This place really is a hidden gem! I had the fortune of staying in the Deluxe Cabin and was blown away by the comfort and quality. While it was just myself, the cabin comes with more than enough space to sleep some family and friends and has an awesome full bathroom. Big though :), this doesn't mean much, as you'll spend most of your time on the porch next to your own fire pit, grill, and rocking chairs! Most of my time was spent exploring the pristine property, enjoying the Nolichucky river that pretty much runs through the property, and downtown Jonesborough. The location is amazing, with a few small towns to explore, and larger cities all within an hour drive (Johnson City, Bristol, Asheville). If you're looking for a home base while you explore Western Carolina and East Tennessee, be sure to put this on your list!
