We had an amazing stay at the Jonesborough/Cherokee NF KOA. The campground is situated close to the Cherokee NF along the Nolichucky River. It’s beautiful and peaceful. You can hear the river flowing and the birds singing. Clean and well cared for park. We stayed in the Caboose Suite for a fun experience. It’s lovely and also full bath with shower. Great experience. Highly recommend.

We had to cut our trip short and leave the campground days early. VERY disappointed that they would not give us even a partial refund!

Jonesborough KOA is my favorite place to stay. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The staff are always friendly and helpful. They even have great pizza, lol.

One of the best campgrounds we’ve stayed at. Everything is clean and well kept. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. They treat you like you are a guest in their home. Sites are laid out to provide plenty of space with a good amount of shade. I am a very picky dog mom and the Paw Pen site was excellent and met all my requirements for cleanliness and safety. We will definitely be back.

The sites in the lower section of the park are great. They are near or next to the river and very spacious. I am not a fan of most KOAs but we love this park.

Wonderful peaceful campground tucked in the woods on the scenic Nolichucky river. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 week stay and were sad to leave. Laundry and showers very clean. Large gift shop. Very helpful and friendly staff. Thank you

It is our first stay at a KOA. So many things to live about this campground. The bathrooms were CLEAN and when you are finished with your shower the floor isn’t soaking wet. The staff were so friendly! The river was amazing. We will stay here again! We really loved it. We can’t say enough about our stay here.

Beautiful location! Very clean! Had a bit of a rain storm in the early hours of the morning, received a text from the hosts asking if we were OK and if we needed anything. Definitely recommend staying here!

It's our favorite campground. We are empty nesters so really enjoy that there is no pool and limited activities for kids (many may not come because of that, but you're PLENTY busy so don't change).

We have KOA’d our way across America from Idaho and this was by far the best KOA we stayed at. Clean, quiet and by the river. Cute store! Friendly staff. Level and private site. Definitely recommend this KOA!

The campground was very organized the restrooms nice and clean. The staff was quite friendly. The only thing that was disappointing was paying a per guest fee when I had two visitors, seems like this should be included with the site fee. I guess there is a reason for this but not sure what that is.

Absolutely fabulous! Bathhouse spotless, camp site very well groomed, friendly and knowledgeable welcoming employees and even witnessed the maintenance people sanitizing the power boxes and the water spigot after someone left as well as the picnic tables! Everything and everyone was Top Notch!!

Our stay here was wonderful! Beautiful and relaxing environment, immaculate grounds and bath house, a cute little shop with a variety of items, and the hosts were friendly and helpful. This was our very first camping trip and Jonesborough KOA has set the bar very high for all our future trips!

Our favorite campground so far. Absolute beauty. We had a corner back-in site with view of the beautiful river. The staff are friendly and helpful with helping to back in our RV to immediate delivery of nice burning firewood. Such a peaceful campground with ample areas to walk with our dog. Benches available down at the river to sit and gaze. Don't miss this gem.

A temporary set back on our journey to completing the 'Appalachian Trail' required a lay over in a place to relax and re-coop. Needless to say the staff went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming and to feel at home. Cannot begin to give them the praises due, but we are so very grateful to have found some wonderful people, along this bucket list journey we imparted upon. Mahalo Nui, AMEN.

Always a beautiful and peaceful place to stay! We chose it every year for our anniversary and this year was even better when we got a knock on the camper door with the delivery of a bag filled with gifts for us! They NEVER fail to go over and above!!

Small but very relaxing by the Nolichucky River. Beautiful spot. Staff were super nice except for one man who may have been having a bad day. Nice amenities! Special thanks to Annette, who was a joy to talk to !

We stayed in the cabin over a long weekend. The accommodations were clean and as described. Every member of staff was accommodating and friendly. They were great with the kids, and they had a couple of free activities for them to do. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

The facility and grounds were very clean; very impressed! We would select a different spot as our dining window was facing the backside of another camper and all of their hook-ups; no view and some of the dogs were barking into the night. However, the staff were fantastic!

Right on the Nolichucky River! Kind, compassionate, and friendly management! Loved the sounds of the river. Such a beautiful spot! I stayed in my RV, but there were very cute cabins on site as well. The facilities were super clean! Pizza and firewood available on site. Great for a mountain getaway in Jonesborough, or an easy drive to Johnson City, Bristol, Asheville, Cherokee, etc.
