Cancellation Policy

WHAT IS KOA'S NATIONAL CANCELLATION GUIDELINE?

By entering this selected KOA campground, you voluntarily assume all risks of exposure to the COVID-19 virus.

If you need to cancel your reservation, you must call our campground before the deadlines listed below to receive your deposit refund, minus a $20 cancellation/administration fee. 
 Text and email notifications of cancellations are not acceptable. Not calling to cancel/no show will result in forfeiture of the entire deposit.

Cancellation Deadlines:
• RV & Tent Sites: You must give 7 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., seven days before your scheduled arrival
. • Lodging & Accommodations: You must give 14 days cancellation notice. Call the KOA you made your reservation with by 4 p.m., fourteen days before your scheduled arrival.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Here at Homer Baycrest KOA our mission is to create a safe, relaxing, and fun retreat from everyday life. Our friendly, capable staff does their best to keep our park clean and quiet to accomplish this mission and make your stay wonderful. We live to make our guests happy and share our outstanding view of Kachemak Bay.

CHECK IN & OUT; OFFICE HOURS

Check-in is at any time after noon. Guests must check out and be out of their site by 11AM. We need this hour between to make sure the site is ready for those checking in. Those who do not vacate their site by 11AM on their check out day, may be charged for a second night.
Office hours may vary depending on the time of year. Our shoulder season hours (May & September) are 11AM to 7PM and may vary. Our regular summer months schedule (June, July, August) is 7 AM to 10 PM. We adjust our hours to how busy we are as the season picks up or winds down, so we do not have set dates when the hours change.

Early Check-out Policy

We are excited to have you stay with us! Due to the shortness of the season and the high volume of activity, once you check-in we are not able to offer refunds for early check-out.

QUIET HOURS

10PM to 7AM. We want all of our guest to be well rested for their upcoming adventures! For that to happen they will need to get a good nights sleep. We ask that all guests take all noise into their RVs during our quiet hours. If we can hear you inside your RV, you are still too loud. Excessive noise at any time is not allowed.

PETS IN THE PARK

Here at Baycrest KOA we love our guests traveling with pets.  Our K-9 park is located near the top of the park and provides a fenced-in area for your pet to run around. We have a few pet rules in place for the general comfort and safety of all our guests:
  • Pets must be kept contained or on a leash at all times. 
  • When in the K-9 park, please be with your pet the entire time
  • Pets must be kept quiet. We love having a quiet, peaceful atmosphere here at Baycrest KOA for our guests. If you are planning on leaving your dog in your RV all day, they must stay quiet. If they can't stay quiet, we will ask you to take your dog with you on your adventures or to a puppy daycare in town.
  • Pet waste must be picked up. We ask that you immediately pick up after your pet. We provide animal waste bags in the park office if you do not have any of your own.

FIRES

We have one designated fire ring per site. Please do not attempt to move the fire rings. Fires must be extinguished before going to bed.

GENERATORS

In our full hook-up sites generators are not allowed. In our dry camp sites with no electric hook ups we allow generators from 8AM-8PM.

SPEED LIMIT

At Baycrest KOA we often have families with children playing in the park so we ask that you limit your speed to 5 MPH to ensure safety of other guests.

TRASH

In an effort to keep our park clean for our guests, we have provided multiple trash disposal areas. We have trash barrels throughout the park that are emptied twice daily, and a full size dumpster near the entrance of the park.
We ask that all guest do their part to keep the park clean by cleaning up after themselves.
We also do NOT allow fish carcasses in our trash bins. Fish waste is more likely to attract bears.

SHOWERS, BATHROOMS, AND LAUNDRY

Here at Homer Baycrest KOA we have 24 hour bathroom, laundry, and shower facilities. These facilities require a passcode that will be given to you at check in.

SMOKING/VAPING

Baycrest KOA is a smoke-free community. Smoking/vaping is only allowed at your site and not in any public areas.

WIFI

At Baycrest KOA we have complimentary wifi for our guests. This internet is for emails, web browsing, and social media. We ask that you refrain from streaming movies and internet gaming because this slows down the internet for other guests.

TV STATIONS AND SATELLITE

We do not have cable because it is unavailable at our location. However, satellite TV is available if you have a pop up dish. The Dome satellites are unable to connect at our location.
You can also get regular channels via antenna (NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, PBS, ect). There are about 6-10 available depending on your spot, the weather etc. All channels are standard resolution.

MAIL DELIVERY

Mail can NOT be sent to our physical address because we have no mail receptacle at the park. FedEx does NOT deliver to Homer Baycrest KOA. UPS will deliver to our location however it sometimes takes longer and is not always left in a secure location if the office is closed. Guests may also send mail by general delivery to HOMER ALASKA POST OFFICE 99603.
If you need something mailed to the park (UPS) please make sure that the office knows when it is suppose to arrive, the size of the package, whose name will be on it, and your site number. If you need something priority shipped and securely delivered to the park that can be arranged through the office.

WASHING VEHICLES

We do not have a vehicle washing station in the park. We also do not allow any vehicle/RV washing in sites. There are multiple car washes in Homer and the office can direct you to them.

ATV'S & DIRT BIKES

Homer Baycrest KOA does not allow any recreational ATV's or dirt bikes to be ridden in the park due to safety issues.

PARKING AFTER CHECKOUT

Additional parking for trailers etc., is available after you have moved out of your site. You must arrange this after check out parking with the office. Price depends on how long guests leave their RV.
There is parking on the spit available for RVs for those who do not wish to leave their RV in the park.

CABIN RULES

Homer Baycrest KOA cabins are smoke free and pet free areas. We also ask that guests leave the cabins fairly clean. We do charge for any excessive mess left in our cabins. Also park quiet hours apply for our cabins as well. If we can hear you during quiet hours in the cabin you are too loud.

Fireworks

Fire works are not allowed within the Kenai Peninsula Borough which includes the city of Homer.
