Here at Homer Baycrest KOA our mission is to create a safe, relaxing, and fun retreat from everyday life. Our friendly, capable staff does their best to keep our park clean and quiet to accomplish this mission and make your stay wonderful. We live to make our guests happy and share our outstanding view of Kachemak Bay.
Our K9 Kamp is currently under construction and we look forward to having your pets in our park! We will keep you updated as construction continues and let you know when our park is available!
We are excited to have you stay with us! Due to the shortness of the season and the high volume of activity, once you check-in we are not able to offer refunds for early check-out.
Here at Baycrest KOA we love guests traveling with pets. However we must remember that everyone enjoys animals at different levels, so we have a few rules in place for our less fur friendly travelers and for the general comfort and safety of all our guests. Pets must be kept contained or on a leash at all times. Pets must either be kept in your camper or contained by a leash or fence. Pets must be kept quiet. We love having a quiet peaceful atmosphere here at Baycrest KOA for our guests. So if you are planning on leaving your dog in your RV all day they must stay quiet. If they can't stay quiet we will ask you to take your dog with you on your adventures or to a puppy daycare in town. Be aware we won't always wait for multiple complaints from other guests to give you a call about barking. Pet waste must be picked up. We ask that you immediately pick up after your pet and do not wait till later. We provide animal waste bags in the park office if you do not have any of your own.
10PM to 7AM. We want all of our guest to be well rested for their upcoming adventures! For that to happen they will need to get a good nights sleep. We ask that all guests take all noise into their RVs during our quiet hours. If we can hear you inside your RV, you are still too loud. Excessive noise at any time is not allowed.
We have one designated fire ring per site. Please do not attempt to move the fire rings. Fires must be extinguished before going to bed.
In our full hook-up sites generators are not allowed. In our dry camp sites with no electric hook ups we allow generators from 8AM-8PM.
At Baycrest KOA we often have families with children playing in the park so we ask that you limit your speed to 5 MPH to ensure safety of other guests.
In an effort to keep our park clean for our guests, we have provided multiple trash disposal areas. We have trash barrels throughout the park that are emptied twice daily, and a full size dumpster near the entrance of the park.
We ask that all guest do their part to keep the park clean by cleaning up after themselves.
We also do NOT allow fish carcasses in our trash bins. Fish waste is more likely to attract bears.
Here at Homer Baycrest KOA we have 24 hour bathroom, laundry, and shower facilities. These facilities require a passcode that will be given to you at check in.
Baycrest KOA is a smoke-free community. Smoking/vaping is only allowed at your site and not in any public areas.
At Baycrest KOA we have complimentary wifi for our guests. This internet is for emails, web browsing, and social media. We ask that you refrain from streaming movies and internet gaming because this slows down the internet for other guests.
We do not have cable because it is unavailable at our location. However, satellite TV is available if you have a pop up dish. The Dome satellites are unable to connect at our location.
You can also get regular channels via antenna (NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX, PBS, ect). There are about 6-10 available depending on your spot, the weather etc. All channels are standard resolution.
Check in is at any time after noon. Guests must check out and be out of their site by 11AM. We need this hour between to make sure the site is ready for those checking in. Those who do not vacate their site by 11AM on their check out day, may be charged for a second night.
Office hours may vary depending on the time of year. Our shoulder season hours (May & September) are 11AM to 7PM. Our regular summer months schedule (June, July, August) is 9AM to 9PM. We adjust our hours to how busy we are as the season picks up or winds down so we do not have set dates when the hours change.
Mail can NOT be sent to our physical address because we have no mail receptacle at the park. FedEx does NOT deliver to Homer Baycrest KOA. UPS will deliver to our location however it sometimes takes longer and is not always left in a secure location if the office is closed. Guests may also send mail by general delivery to HOMER ALASKA POST OFFICE 99603.
If you need something mailed to the park (UPS) please make sure that the office knows when it is suppose to arrive, the size of the package, whose name will be on it, and your site number. If you need something priority shipped and securely delivered to the park that can be arranged through the office.
We do not have a vehicle washing station in the park. We also do not allow any vehicle/RV washing in sites. There are multiple car washes in Homer and the office can direct you to them.
Homer Baycrest KOA does not allow any recreational ATV's or dirt bikes to be ridden in the park due to safety issues.
Additional parking for trailers etc., is available after you have moved out of your site. You must arrange this after check out parking with the office. Price depends on how long guests leave their RV.
There is parking on the spit available for RVs for those who do not wish to leave their RV in the park.
Homer Baycrest KOA cabins are smoke free and pet free areas. We also ask that guests leave the cabins fairly clean. We do charge for any excessive mess left in our cabins. Also park quiet hours apply for our cabins as well. If we can hear you during quiet hours in the cabin you are too loud.
