Southbound from Anchorage: At the Seward cutoff, go right toward Homer/Soldotna/Kenai, through Cooper Landing, to the end of the road. KOA is at mile 169, the first driveway shared with the Marathon station. Keep right. If you crest the hill, you've gone too far (but the view will be spectacular!).

The past 2 years we have had more tents and larger tents coming into the park. The pictures on our site are of our up to a 4-man tent sites.
We try to accommodate many tent sizes, numbers of people camping in tents, children, dogs....
When someone books a tent site, all of these factors are taken into account, and depending on when a person books, the choices for their sites most likely will be limited. Another limiting factor is how the dates someone has selected may overlap with an already booked site, and we will try to find a good place for you within the park.
We work hard to get everyone into a safe place for the factors involved in their stay.
It is best to put in the guest notes, especially if you are booking online, the size of your tent, the number of tents, the number of adults, pets and the ages of your children. That way we can fit you in the best spot for all these factors. It is hard for us to place guest in a spot that is best for them, when people do not give accurate information for us.
Always give us a call if you have anything out of the ordinary.
Due to the large 6-man tents and above, you may be put into an RV site, which the cost is the price of the site.
That doesn't mean this area has to always be empty. When you start reviewing camping options, your history will display here to help compare sites and find the best stay. You will be able to share your stay information with friends or family and save it for a later time if you have a KOA Account.
