Not like other KOAs. We had to find the dumpster instead of putting the trash out to be picked up. Site was nice. Could have done without the 2 rigs that came on the next to the last day with 5 dogs between them. They appeared to be together as the 5 dogs were at the site behind us some of the time. Often off leash and not very well trained and running all over.

Perfect for us. It was my wife and our dog. Very beautiful setting and nice and quiet.

Site was very small and there was no internet. I heard other campers complaining as well because the WiFi doesn’t work. When I called about it, I was told that the signal comes from the bath house and the water interferes somehow with the signal. We needed to be able to get emergency calls so I didn’t rest easy knowing if my daughter needed me, she wasn’t able to get a hold of me.

We enjoy our stay there but there is a lot that could be done to improve the place. We try to stay at the same site (#18) when we go camping and we like the site but it does need some work around the whole park. Our site had a steep hill down to the water. Looks like there could be some type of steps or something that makes it easier to get to the water from this site.

So sad to say we had a terrible stay. The people next to use were terrible. They had a spotlight on all night long, blasting vulgar music and smoking weed all night long. We have small children and dont want to expose them to this. We also go camping for peace and quiet and got none of that.

Exceptional lake views. Courteous, friendly, knowledgeable staffing. No overzealous business in this place from the part of any "host". Felt very comfortable and without anyone wielding their basic rules at you.

We only stayed there while our house was being built, but thankfully, they let us! We enjoyed the lake! Scary when it storms when you're surrounded by woods and trees fall over!

Staff were very friendly, lots of shade, large, level campsites. However, there was some trash not picked up from previous guest, and LOTS of dead trees (some standing and some fallen) which are hazardous. I just expected more from a KOA.

Very disappointed in the way manager's ability to send information to the campers. There is no thought to the needs of the camper.

We love KOA Lakeside. Bathrooms could use some updating but the campsites are amazing! Our family loves it!

Loved the tent sites and how close to the lake they were with the water tap and electricity made it so relaxing definitely will be back again

Other than the lake being very low , was Very Pleased with our accommodations, Stayed on site 11 with 50 AMP camper . My only suggestion would be a rail of some type along the edge of crossties , at the steep hill area.

Great experience camping at Hartwell lakeside campground. Campsites are really well maintained. The restrooms are very clean. Gated security at the entry. Good privacy and lake view for the tent sites. Just as expected. I would love to camp here again with friends and family. Would recommend it to everyone.

We rented a deluxe cabin for a long weekend. The staff was very friendly and helpful our entire stay. The cabins were super clean and so was the entire campground. We will be back and thoroughly enjoyed our time with KOA.

Lakeside sites are great and the amenities are very nice. I would recommend having clearly marked paths leading to the bath houses. Our site was a decent walk and if all of the sites on the interior were booked, we would have had to drive to the bath house every time. That is not a complaint, only a suggestion!! Great campground though!!

We enjoyed the campground, stayed on a lakeside campsite and enjoyed the views of the lake. Everyone was friendly. Wi-Fi wasn’t good but we haven’t found many campgrounds that are. We will def be back.

First time there. Loved our site and before the first night was over, I had already booked again! We loved it there and this will definitely be our new go-to campground far enough away from home to feel like you've been somewhere but close enough to be home in 2 hours!

We loved our stay and will definitely come back. Thw cleanest cabin we have ever stayed in. However only have one complaint and am only mentioning to help improve. My boys stayed in the bunk area. It was very small and had no air circulation. It needs a fan or small ac unit.

The place is great. However, the person who checked us in moved us to another campsite from the one we had booked. Not a bad site but we had absolutely no shade for the entire afternoon. The original site had shade. We will come back, but next time I want to physically look at at site before moving to it.

We stayed on a full hookup site we always sites on watery everything was very good people tend to drive too fast in the camp ground.

We loved it. Beautiful view and met some nice people. The only negative was no internet and slow cell service where we were. It rained on part of our trip…the internet would have allowed us to watch tv. Other than that, great place!

This is one of the best camping places we have been to. Hartwell lakeside KOA has excellent camping options. Great Lake views. Restrooms are clean. Kids play area. Dog park. Variety of sites to fit your camping preferences. The staff is really friendly and provide great service. We have camped here 3 times and always recommend to our friends and family. I would anytime come back and camp here.
