Gorgeous campground with so much to do. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were just there for a quick overnight, but want to go back and stay awhile.

Oh my goodness it was wonderful. We appreciated it being run by a family owned business. Staff was very friendly. Food was delicious at diner. Will DEFINITELY be coming back with our little toddler and inlaws!

when we arrived the maintenance man was still replacing the futon. we turned on the hot water and the smell was awful, they told us to run the water until it got cold, it smelled worse. the person behind the counter seemed like she did not care and told us she could not do anything. We asked to be moved to the other cabin and we were told that we had to wait for the owner to get back. Poor

Great service and quiet camping.

Jesse was extremely helpful when we had a mishap coming into the campgrounds. Better warnings and signage should be had coming from the single lane bridge. Yes the information was in the email but we did not have access. Dated.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We also send out text messages to all our arrivals with directions that state do not follow GPS or google maps. It is also listed in the KOA directory..

Nice and level, clean and quiet. Beautiful landscaping and flower pots everywhere. It is obvious the owners and employees take pride in this lovely little treasure trove.

This Koa is suppose to be a holiday and it was not even a journey in my eyes. Spaces were very tight and my sons camper was put next to a tree and couldn't open the awning just was able to open slide. Cable was terrible. Will not recommend this koa to anyone. We also couldn't plug in until the electric box got fix. Very disappointed!

it has a great location, nestled in the woods, near the river. staff was super nice, amenities are very clean and accessible. the only negative is the access. the roads are very narrow and have a few potholes. getting in and out is slightly tricky. it is best suited for smaller rvs. perhaps 30 feet or less. overall a good experience.

This is a nice little campground nestled alongside a slow flowing stream. The campground offers a lot of stuff to do inside the campground and the area is ripe with opportunities to explore, especially for history buffs. You may have to deal with the noise of the engines from Hagerstown Racetrack. Convenient to I-70 & I-81 as an overnight stop.

Friendly check in staff, this was a layover stay.Facilities were clean however the grounds were over grown with weeds and such. With some TLC this could be a great KOA

The campground was adorable and well-situated along the creek. The cabin was just as it was advertised! Every staff member we came into contact with was pleasant and seemed to enjoy their job.

Had a great stay which could have been better. Wi-Fi is very slow (even for reading news) and TV very limited, bad reception and guide has many wrong channels listed

Nice little KOA we had a site that was under a chestnut tree we had heavy rain and chestnut dropping onto the roof of our fifth wheel and truck most of the night. They have a nice store with lots of items, only stayed the one night

The site we were to stay at was short for the truck and trailer. We were staying one night. We did not want to unhook. They did not hesitate to move us to a longer site.

As always we enjoyed our stay at this KOA, we visit alot of KOA campgrounds throughout the year and this by far has been one that goes over and beyond to ensure your stay is great! Management and the other employees always available for whatever is needed, not overly crowded and easy access from the nearby interstate. I would definitely recommend this campground for your future stay.

We stayed in the Conastoga Wagon & those things are awesome, except for the wasp infestation. Bathrooms were always clean, lots of activities for the kids.

Cabin 4 and Cabin 12, (handicapped accessible); need to be moved to sites: 70, 71, 72 or 74 where this area is more level and accessible to showers (especially the new handicapped shower). The cabins are only outside water and electric, and these sites (70, 71, 72 and 74) are only water and electric. To get to cabin 4 is rough terrain, rocks, and pebbles (its had to push a wheelchair through).

The sites were clean the bathhouse was like home

Great spot..lovely people. Care taken in upkeep and place pretty

Having the cabin on the side of a hill with no grill rack and a very slick way of getting up to the cabin was worrisome. My wifi never worked due to either my specific cabin not having access, a wrong password, and/or an unsecured signal. I also don't get why the bathrooms are split for the men. It was okay, but there are things that need to be situated better on the premises.

Enjoy the Remember When diner. The staff is friendly and always willing to help.

Small campground but camp sites were good size. Need more full hook-up sites and maybe speed bumps to slow down traffic for employees and campers.

We had a great time. The bathrooms were clean. The food at the diner was delicious.

Camped with a group of 9 rigs. Planned on kayaking but the weather didn’t cooperate. Was able to use the pavilion which was good because of the rain. Still had a great time. Breakfast on Sunday was really good!

We only stayed one night. The place is clean and the people were nice.

Nice facility. This was our second stay at this location. Good laundry, camp store, and small but nice swimming pool. Excellent location to tour the Antietam Battlefield. Follow the site's arrival directions.

The staff was very attentive to your needs and very friendly. Grass need cutting and a lot of the flower beds needs some work. Also, the number of showers and toilets to the number of guest seem a little short.

Nice campground with wonderful staff. The bathrooms were clean-that’s a big plus! In addition, after a long ride, it was so great that we were able to order pizza and wings from the on-site diner and they were delivered to our site!!

Tale of Two Cities- Thank you Hagerstown! I am a KOA Rewards member and I have over 110,000 lifetime points. I realize there are thousands of people that have more points than me and have been a member longer than 18 years, but I am certainly qualified to write this review!! Hagerstown and Harrisonburg My wife and I are campers, hikers, bikers, kayakers, and adventurers. Being part of that lifestyle, things happen. On the 20th, one of those “THINGS” did happen. On a hike in southern Virginia, my wife had a fall and broke her arm. Luckily, we were in cell phone range and the ambulance and medical personnel were able to reach us. After spending 8 hours in the hospital for emergency treatment to her arm, we returned to our RV in the middle of the night. Early the next morning, knowing it was impossible to continue camping, I started my drive home from southern Virginia. We were close to the end of our trip and we only had about three more nights to go. I had reservations at both Harrisonburg AND Hagerstown on my return trip. Harrisonburg: On the morning of the 21st, as we were heading home, I called the Harrisonburg KOA to see if I could get my deposit back. I even texted with Terry (one of the employees) about the situation. I was told what the policy was in regards to cancellations and I totally understand why those rules are in place. This, however, was an extenuating circumstance. I was reminded about the “policy” several times. I asked if he could check with the owner and see if there was an exception to this “Policy.” After an hour, I got a response which in essence was, since I was unable to spend the night at the KOA, there were no exceptions and I would lose my money. This is the policy. I even offered to produce my wife's xrays and medical receipts for verification. NOPE, not budging. This was NOT a win/win situation. When I called Hagerstown KOA to tell them of my situation, I was pleasantly surprised to be understood with a great deal of compassion. The employee told me what the “policy” was, but given my situation, she was going to talk with the owners. (I wish I got her name because she was very nice.) Within the hour, I received a call back and the employee told me that she got permission to refund my deposit, except for $10.00. This was a great solution! I gladly accepted the offer and I will certainly patronize this KOA in the future. Thanks to John and Judi for allowing some flexibility in this very difficult situation. Upon my return home, I wrote a letter to the Harrisonburg KOA making one more attempt to get some money back. I did not get any response through email, snail mail, or on my phone. Hagerstown made sure they took care of the customer and for that, they deserve top honors. THANK YOU, HAGERSTOWN. Harrisonburg repeatedly told me what the policy was and did not share any compassion for what was a terrible situation for my wife and for me. Shame on you, Harrisonburg.

We have a 36 foot travel trailer and the pull through site was big. Lots of trees no freeway noise. Nice staff and a well appointed store.

Beautiful river views Nice looking pool Nice K-9 club yard small but nice. Bouncing space for children, really a LOT of fun kid stuff, goats, ducks, chickens, playground, ...
