It was wonderful! We were in site RV13 and it was spacious and backed to grassy common ground. We even had a Mama Moose and her baby run behind our camper one evening! Bathrooms/Showers were clean and in good working order. And this KOA is right outside the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Lots of staff around to make sure everything was running smoothly. I will definitely be back.

Our spot was tight but comfortable and surrounded by willows. We saw a moose and her baby right in the campground, amazing. The staff were warm and helpful and even helped me direct my camper in its spot. Close to town and RMNP, will plan to stay sgain!

Loved the visit from the momma moose and her calf! The campground staff and camping arrangements were awesome. We were literally 1/4 mile to the entrance of RMNP! The bathroom and showers were very clean. If you visit and have your 4-legged kiddo with you, I suggest the Monarch Lake hike. It's a 4 mile hike around the lake with plenty of water and cool off spots for your 4-legged.

Wir waren hier auf der Rückfahrt nach Denver. Es ist wirklich ein sehr schöner Platz und man sieht so alle 2 Tage Moose durch den Platz wandern.

My husband and I attended a Winnebago rally at your KOA. His only complaints were dust as folks sometimes drive by too fast. Is a compound to keep the dust down a consideration? I notice the good rules for dogs in the campground, but didn't see enforcement on number of dogs permitted or dog corral rules. Location is spectacular so near the national park. Personnel are top notch. Thank you.

This is an up-and-coming KOA. It’s only been a KOA for two years, but the owner is making great improvements like leveling sites and adding hook-ups. The staff is absolutely excellent! The setting is very nice, and it is so close to Rocky National, a championship golf course, and the fun little town of Grand Lake with lots of things to do that it is the perfect place to stay. Bravo Grand Lake KO

Always a very pleasant experience at Grand Lake KOA.

We stayed two nights here. We had a perfectly situated site (22) backing up to nature. We even had our own wee trail up to the top of a lovely small plateau with beautiful views. Everything was very clean & they were organized & efficient as well as friendly. The location of this park is the best draw. Very close to the town & Grand Lake. It’s also quite close to RMNP.

My friend and I stayed for three nights, Tuesday until Friday, in August of 2023, with temperatures ranging from the forties at night into the seventies in afternoons with bright sunshine for most days. We found the facilities to be clean and well maintained. Staff personnel were very courteous and very helpful, and they seemed to be handy when needed. We truly enjoyed the clean mountain air.

We ADORE this campground! The new owners are amazing and their entire staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. We spend a long weekend here every year with our camping group, and everyone has an amazing time. The grounds are beautiful, and the facilities are clean and well kept. It’s one of our favorite places to camp in Colorado. The area has so much to offer!

Great friendly staff. Nice landscaped level sites. Great location on the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park. One of the best KOA.'s "not a parking lot "

I have been camping all my life. This is by far the friendliest place I have ever stayed. This campground has big campsites that feel like you are camping in National Park campground, but with the convenience of hook ups, showers and a game room. It is 2 miles from the Rocky Mtn. National Park entrance. The town of Grand Lake has good restaurants and the lake is beautiful. Highly recommend it.

I’ve been coming to this camp ground for several years and now that KOA has taken it over I’m glad to see many improvements and it’s still a clean and very well kept place to camp. Owners and crew are very friendly and Knowledgeable.

Great stay and beautiful weather! Our camp spot was a little busy/noisy due to the location, so the next time we stay, we'll select a different spot.

We’ve been going to Elk Creek now Grand Lake KOA for more than 10 years. This change in ownership was much needed. Everyone was friendly, the spaces are a lot nicer and we had the best time. Can’t wait for next year!!

The staff is phenomenal! They have done everything in their power to find space for us. Their attitude is so positive. This is the best KOA I have experienced in the few years I have been RVing!

We loved our stay. I feel our site was too small for our pop up tent and would have preferred a wider site to be able to put up a shade tent. Everyone was courteous and kind. Thank you for everything.

We loved this park when it was Elk Creek Campground. It is now a KOA and we still love it. They've added some nice patio sites and made many improvements. This is the only place we will stay when visiting Rocky Mountain National Park from Grand Lake.

Excellent location, excellent service, super friendly staff. Wonderful campsite. We traveled over 5000 miles on a month West road trip, and this was by far the nicest KOA that we stopped at. Staff was super beautiful campsites nice and shady very private, and not stacked on top of each other. And the public facilities for the bathrooms and showers and laundry were in excellent shape.
