The Moose was great. Site 36 needs a hug, very muddy. Internet was down a good part of the day the last night we were there.

Sites were great, staff was on top of everything AND friendly. Having two moose grazing in the adjacent campsite was a real bonus!

This is my 1st summer with a travel trailer and almost all of my stays have been at a KOA, stretching from Durango to the Grand Tetons, from Cripple Creek to Palisades. This one was great from the wooded grounds to excellent/helpful/friendly staff to really nice bathroom/shower accommodations. Loved getting 1 more trip in before they closed for the season!

We enjoyed our 2-day stay with our grandson. The grounds are impressive - it's obvious that great care is taken to make everything as perfect as can be. Loved the playground, lounge and games, bath/shower facilities - and the location/proximity to Grand Lake Village and Rocky Mountain National Park can't be beat. Overall a great stay and we'll be back.

Nice, small park. Clean. Would've liked a different site. Site 39 was ok, just looked out at too many other campers, rather than looking at the mountains, even though site was surrounded by willows. Would stay there again. Close to town and entrance to RMNP. The aspens were gorgeous yellow.

The perfect location for visiting the west side of RMNP and/or the town of Grand Lake. Every staff member we came into contact with was friendly. Our RV site was great with lots of trees for privacy and a firepit. The laundry and shower facilities were also very nice and clean. Our site was not full hookup, but the dump station had a sewer hose attached which made things very convenient.

Excellent customer service - very accommodating as Terri worked hard to secure a site for us to move too so we can stay longer than planned. One of the cleanest restroom/shower areas we have ever been in! Very nice sites in a beautiful setting close to the charming town of Grand Lake, CO.

Lucked out as a walk-in. Check in person very helpful and nice. Staff helped me back in to my spot since I was travellng alone. Place was so dang clean and beautiful location. Will try to stay again for several days when I can plan ahead for longer stay.

This is a difficult review to write because our main complaint is the lousy site we were given. The park staff were extremely helpful. And the park is beautifully located and landscaped. But the site we were assigned had a steep 20° plus slope at the top and maintained it all the way to the back. Our sewage would not run uphill to the sewage connection and when it rained there was mud everywhere.

We love our time at Elk Creek Campground - AKA - KOA Journey -Grand Lake. People are friendly and helpful, the area is beautiful, and it is close to the National Park and Grand Lake. There are many things to do and enjoy.

Sites are pretty private and with the potential to see moose how could you not stay…Clean well kept bathrooms friendly and helpful staff and close to town what else could you ask for? Quiet - they have that too.

This KOA exceeded our expectation. We had spot by the river and it was very private. The upper loop looked less private. Bonus was the moose and her baby that hung out in our site for quite a while. Great for star viewing. We'd love to go back!

We have been staying at this campground every fall for the last 28 years. :o) We love the location, the fresh air, the views, and the animals. There have been wonderful owners over those years. We found the new ownership - Grand Lake KOA - to be great! Friendly people, clean sites, and appreciated the minimal changes to an already perfect campground. We have already reserved our spot for 2024!

We loved this park when it was Elk Creek Campground. It is now a KOA and we still love it. They've added some nice patio sites and made many improvements. This is the only place we will stay when visiting Rocky Mountain National Park from Grand Lake.

We enjoyed our one night stay here (rooftop tent). Showers were extremely nice! Staff super friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location, excellent service, super friendly staff. Wonderful campsite. We traveled over 5000 miles on a month West road trip, and this was by far the nicest KOA that we stopped at. Staff was super beautiful campsites nice and shady very private, and not stacked on top of each other. And the public facilities for the bathrooms and showers and laundry were in excellent shape.
