Enjoyed every moment, from the cheery and helpful staff to the moose wondering thru the campground! Our campsite has a majestic view enhanced by a bubbling creek.

Our large group booked Individual reservations, & due to the employees incompetency, they managed to misbook 3 separate reservations, & instead of fixing & apologizing the went on to be extremely rude, relocated a large trailer to a new spot on our last night. VERY INCONVENIENT! Many of us have the same last name, they managed to confuse the reservations. We had over 10 cabins 7 Trailor sites.

We apologize for the confusion around the site reservations. However, in the end, we were able to resolve the booking challenges and make the reservation for the group. When the guest wanted to extend their stay, there was already a guest locked into the original site.

My only issue was although it was great having the baggies for dog poop around the park there was no where to dispose of it except the main dumpster. Everything else was great.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We live in bear country. Because dog poop trash cans are often used for regular trash and food scrapes, additional trash cans leads to problems with bears.

Our tent site was very small and crammed against the other sites. The tent pad needed maintenance and was eroding/ not level. There was another large group of people who were very loud and playing loud music/karaoke that the entire facility could hear. Honestly, I have stayed here at a different tent site before and enjoyed myself, but I would not come back based on my most recent experience.

I cannot express how much we enjoyed staying at this KOA! Our beautiful campsite overlooking RMNP was one of our favorite campsites ever - we already booked it for next year! I have never seen so many hummingbirds in my life - they were so entertaining! We loved being so close to the park entrance and going for before-sunrise drives to see all of the moose! Fall 2026 can’t come soon enough!

Fairly quiet area. Not a fan of not parking by tent site, just requires more trips to/from the car. Campsite 6 did not have a great spot for your tent. People would also walk between our tent and our picnic table due to location of parking area. Would also walk right in front of our tent to get to their campsite from the bathroom- and within 2’ of tent. Only bonus was we had a bear proof box.

Nice clean showers and bathrooms. Our site was very private. Moose in the campground made it even better. Great location at the west entrance to RMNP and the restaurants in Grand Lake. Would most definitely stay there again. All staff were very nice and helpful.

Tent site extremely difficult to access from tent parking for older people.

Thank you for your feedback. If you visit us in the future, we have two tent sites that are easier to access for our elderly guests. Please let us know and we will do our best to reserve one of those sites instead.

This was probably the best KOA we’ve ever stayed at. Campground was very clean and sites are well spaced. Staff was very friendly and welcoming and constantly busy making everything look nice. We will definitely be back. Grand Lake is a beautiful town with easy access to RMNP.

A moose was in the camp when we arrived and the cabin and bathrooms were very clean. We love this place due to the proximity to the national park, trails, Grand Lake, and all of the animals we have seen while staying here. This camp makes relaxing easy!

Be prepared for very cold summer night temperatures. Difficult to navigate the property at night. Fairly clean bathrooms.

We love this campground and stay here every year. It is clean, well-kept and family friendly. The staff is great too! Our only issue this year was kids screaming and people partying past 10 PM on Thursday night. We had to call the after hours line but they took care of it. I wish someone from the staff did rounds at 10 PM to tell people to be quiet.

We love staying at the Grand Lake KOA. It is extremely well run, with courteous, outgoing and friendly staff. The sites are roomy and pretty. We woke up one day to see a mule deer in front of our trailer. It is so close to Rocky Mountain National Park that you literally drive out of the KOA and into the Park. The picturesque town of Grand Lake is a great place to spend time as well. Love it here!

Very friendly office and support staff. Loved the size of the campsites and the amenities at the deluxe RV sites. Access to the Rocky Mountain National park could not have been better being right next to the entrance. Added bonus was moose and deer walking through the campground. The town of Grand Lake was within minutes and had a really cool western vibe with unique shops and restaurants.

We had a campsite that was very nice. Grand lake is a very quiet place. The showers are great very clean. Grand lake koa is close to all amenities such as shopping and fishing.

It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. They are very knowledgeable about the area. I loved my site (12). Definitely will come back.

The cabin was perfect for our family of 4 with our dog. Being located close to the playground allowed our kids some freedom to play nearby and the little creek going through the property was fun for them to dip their feet in. The bathroom facilities were nice and clean. Can't beat the location close to the main strip of Grand Lake and the entrance to RMNP. We will be returning again.

Exceptionally clean facilities and quiet. 10 minutes from town of Grand Lake and 7 minutes from western entrance to RMNP. Very very nice folks that run the place.

Truly the best place to stay if you are visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. Very convenient to the park entrance and the town of Grand Lake. Campground was very clean, had activities for kids, and staff was very friendly. Highly recommend!

you advertise as an amenity, 50amps power available. nowhere does it say not available at tent sites. if i had known that i would have opted for an RV space with electricity. the whole wagon thing was a pain to try to do

clean park, bathrooms, and showers. Helpful and friendly staff. Close to the Rocky Mountain National Park and Grand Lakes. Only negatives 1. the sites were very tight 2. Park roads were more dirt than gravel. This may be fine for you but with our dogs it creates a dirty trailer floor.

We loved this park when it was Elk Creek Campground. It is now a KOA and we still love it. They've added some nice patio sites and made many improvements. This is the only place we will stay when visiting Rocky Mountain National Park from Grand Lake.

We enjoyed our one night stay here (rooftop tent). Showers were extremely nice! Staff super friendly. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent location, excellent service, super friendly staff. Wonderful campsite. We traveled over 5000 miles on a month West road trip, and this was by far the nicest KOA that we stopped at. Staff was super beautiful campsites nice and shady very private, and not stacked on top of each other. And the public facilities for the bathrooms and showers and laundry were in excellent shape.
