Staff Highlight: Tyler & Victoria

Meet Tyler & Victoria, pictured with their sweet children, Jax and Aly!  Tyler & Victoria have been a wonderful addition to the Gaylord KOA team this season.  Tyler is a steady, solid presence on the maintenance staff quietly and happily doing all that is asked of him.  He is legendary amongst the staff for digging his way under our cabins to attach new water lines.  Yes, you read that right, digging his way under our cabins! #creepycrawlycritters  Victoria has created and led many of our campground activities including rock painting for a rock snake, group marshmallow roast and s’more bar, treasure hunts, bubble parties and more!

Tyler & Victoria call Harrington, Delaware home, but this young family has visited 17 states already!  For fun, they all love hiking and exploring nature.  Beaches and marshes are Jax and Aly’s  favorite, while their parents love the mountains.  Tyler & Victoria are foodies so they love touring and tasting local food at distilleries, breweries, and restaurants that are off the beaten path.  They are always looking for activities that they can enjoy with their kids!

They also love sports so they make a point to see as many home games in unique stadiums as they can! Football, Hockey, and Soccer are their favorite sports to watch.  Tyler is into both running and strength training and Victoria loves to cook and be with her littles.

Tyler & Victoria are new to work camping; they have been full-time camping for only one year and what they have liked most about working at the Gaylord KOA has been the people.  The guests are varied and no day is the same. The owners are fantastic people also with young kids, and their kids have hit it off beautifully.  Their managers and co-workers come from all walks of life and have treated them as nothing less than family.   They love their shaded site, the kids’ favorite spot is the jumping pillow, and there is just so much to do on site and in Gaylord!

Victoria said, “We've learned so much about what really matters. Life is what you make of it!”  Amen, Victoria.  Thank you so much for your hard work and good vibes!  We send you off with gratitude and hope you soak up all those experiences on the road with your sweet family!
