Meet Martha & Bob! This was Martha & Bob’s first experience with work camping and they knocked it out of the park! Martha is a natural in the office, being so friendly and making every camper feel welcome. Bob worked on our maintenance staff and escorted campers to their sites. He has a ready smile, makes easy conversation, and likes to be busy. We at the Gaylord KOA are so happy they decided to try work camping with us!
Bob and Martha lived in Alaska for 20 years (theirs is the plate you desperately want to see when on a road trip collecting license plates!). The past two years they have been calling home wherever their 5th Wheel is parked. They are loving the snowbird lifestyle and are headed to South Carolina before the snow starts falling in Michigan. They travel with their senior miniature dachshund, Casey.
They enjoy traveling, having visited 33 states. Bob enjoys golf and cornhole, while Martha busies herself with quilting, reading, and is always on the lookout for a vineyard tour!
Bob & Martha have enjoyed meeting new people, especially the guests at the campground and have made lasting friendships with their co-workers. They love that the Gaylord KOA is wooded, it makes for the quintessential summer camping setting. Bob & Martha have been lovely employees and we hate to see them go, but send them best wishes as they head south for the winter!
