Meet Jesse and Melissa, the Lead Work Camper Couple at the Gaylord KOA! Jesse and Melissa return to the Gaylord KOA for their second season and are leading the Gaylord team, having been an integral part of the 2024 season. They got to start their season with an ice storm that resulted in an unbelievable number of limbs and sticks in all campsites, on all roads, and still hanging from trees!
This sweet duo has been living the full-time RV life for the past two years, traveling coast to coast—from the sunny shores of San Diego, California, to the warm beaches on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Along the way, they’ve explored 17 states, with a love for the open road and plenty of spicy food to fuel their journey. When they're not helping guests at the campground, Melissa enjoys crocheting and getting lost in a good book, while Jesse can often be found cooking up something tasty or strumming his guitar.
At the Gaylord KOA, Jesse and Melissa have found more than just a job—they’ve found a community. Their favorite local adventure is biking the scenic Iron Belle Trail, but what really keeps them coming back are the friendships they’ve made, especially when bonding over shared morel mushroom recipes! For them, the best part of the job is helping families create unforgettable vacation memories in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Whether you're roasting marshmallows or hitting the trails, Jesse and Melissa are here to make your stay one to remember.
