This is one of Our favorite KOA’s. A beautiful mature Campground along with an awesome Staff. It is far enough away from Gatlinburg to get away from the hustle and bustle. The grounds are kept very clean. Clean showers and laundry. And there is a Dollar General within a mile. I highly recommend!

Campground itself is wonderful. Well laid out, quiet, clean, spacious sites. Common facilities and store were clean and well stocked. The staff was stand-out! Someone is always on a cart, picking up trash, doing routine maintenance, or just being there - answering questions or just seeing how things are going. Special thanks to Jake for this reservation and information towards our next one here!

The staff at the KOA were great, especially Chris who was helpful in relocating our site when we arrived ,and also gave us useful info regarding sight seeing and also road directions. We would like the site to have more level sites, and be more big rig friendly, removing trees and large rocks at turns and intersections. There was ample room between sites, and the facilities were always clean.

very nice, quiet campground out of the hustle/bustle areas, but close enough to partake if you chose.

Tried to use showers around 9:30 PM - all were locked - wondering why??? Also, that patch of "orange" "dirt" behind the picnic area is awful when it's wet, clings to your shoes like glue, maybe plant some grass there instead.

We are 1st time camper owners. We had very relaxing time at campground. All staff was friendly and helpful. We had a problem when leaving with our camper and staff was there for us, helped us thru every step to resolve our camper problem and we very kind to us for our newbie mistake. We highly recommend this camp and the wonderful staff

We stayed at Gatlinburg East from 3-24 through 3-28 and found this visit to be exactly what I expected; FANTASTIC! This is one of our favorite campgrounds to stay at. Chris and his crew are among the nicest hosts and workers you will ever find. This is our third time staying at this campground and I think it just keeps getting better and better. Thank you Chris and crew for a wonderful stay!!

This campground was amazing, so well laid out and large camping areas with all of the nice chairs and tables and fire pits. The landscaping of the campground was beautiful. The people were incredibly friendly.

If you’re rolling through the Smokies in a rig and debating where to land—stop overthinking it. Gatlinburg East KOA Holiday is the kind of campground that reminds you why you chose this lifestyle in the first place. From the second we pulled in, everything just worked. Easy access, level sites, clean! Jake absolutely made our stay. The guy didn’t just “do his job”—he owned the experie

Well run, with very good wifi and cable, personal service, and immaculately clean facilities. Near Cosby and Greenbriar areas of GSMNP.

Gorgeous campground! Spacious, clean, well appointed sites right at the base of the Great Smoky Mountains. Amazing bathhouse and laundry. I can't say enough good things about the staff - they made our stay even more delightful than the surroundings - the nicest people we have ever met and they will be a big part of the memories we made at their campground.

Excellent staff and beautiful areas to stay. Second time visiting this location and it is our local getaway. Sites are big enough to spread out and not feel like you are on top of each other. We highly recommend this location.

Great campground, and friendly and helpful staff. Everything was very clean and the snack bar food and ice cream were delicious. We stayed in early April, so the campground was pretty quiet. Minor complaint- not all bathrooms had towel hooks and/or bench seats which would have been helpful. Also, bathrooms, while clean could have used a sweeping during the day. Would definitely stay again.

Only disappointing thing was that i had to move my trailer 3 times and disconnect my 5th wheel 3 times and move it because when put in auto level mode it would start to level then go into default ( Too much angle to level please move camper to more level spot) I had to do this 3 times before I could get it to work. Space #35 which i loved.

Lovely campground. Helpful staff. We enjoyed our stay.

Very helpful and friendly staff. The Paw pen site is great to allow your furry friends a place to roam at your site off leash. Also the campground is EV friendly. The only improvements would be narrower fence rails gaps on the paw pen to prevent a furry escape artist from escaping.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had an issue on our roof and they even lent us a ladder to get on the camper. Location is wooded and close to Gattlinburg. We will be coming back.

Best KOA we have stayed in. Almost perfect. There was a tree stump too close to exit road. We got through, however if we had our tow vehicle hitched up we would not have. Too tight

We've stayed at this campground once before and loved it. I called today to check availability for another stay and then called back to book the reservation. I spoke with Chris and Charlie and they were both very knowledgeable and helpful. Looking forward to our next visit in October.

This was our first time staying at a KOA and it did not disappoint. We were supposed to stay on Tent Site 4 and when we got there we asked if we could switch and stayed at tent Site 02. As there was immediate parking right off the campsite rather than walking a longer path to Tent Site 4. The bear box provided was big enough for all of our stuff. We must have timed our vacation just right as the campground wasn't completely full - which was super nice! We stayed from Saturday to Wednesday. Saturday night we noticed you could hear a wedding across the mountain, so we asked what time they typically go to and he wasn't sure. Looked up the venue and weddings typically go to 10 o'clock at night but could go longer if they purchased additional hours - so just an FYI. Luckily the wedding was done at 10 as it was pretty loud. As everything echoes! It is on a busy highway to which people drive by with loud vehicles at all times of the night. The campground was very well maintained. The pool and park were a huge hit for our kids! The game room was also fun! The foosball table could be replaced as it was falling apart. They have food on-site that you can order, ice, firewood $10 and they will deliver to your site. To no fault of KOA there are no lifeguards and people just let their kids go to the pool by themselves. The bathrooms are individual rooms with a shower and toilet -wish there were a little bigger ones as they were a little tight with trying to shower kids and myself. The bathrooms also looked like black mold was on the ceiling. Otherwise they were clean except some where there were some disrespectful campers and not cleaning up after themselves(beard shavings so hair was literally all over the sink) to which no fault to KOA. Everyone abided by the quiet hours which was a relief! The last night was our worst night where we had some disrespectful campers - one who let their dog sit out of their camper and just bark till 10:45-11 (again no fault to KOA) . Then apparently KOA lets people book last minute, we had a neighbor pull in around 11:15 set up camp and stay up talking till 12:30. We will be staying at a KOA again, thank you for having us!
