General Campground Information

Fire Bans

Every year Converse County does have a burn ban. Please be understanding and if that is the case we will have the community fire pit up and running. None of our sites have fire pits at them.

Pool Construction

Final steps of construction are happening. Looking for a June 2026 opening day for the pool.

Campground Updates

We want to thank all our guests for their understanding and patience as we make upgrades and changes to our campground over the next several years. We also appreciate your suggestions on how we can improve your stay and sharing your ideas for adding to our campground. The 2026 summer season includes the opening of the pool, three mini deluxe cabins, a new dog run, and a few other projects.

Meet Your Hosts

Everyday is a GREAT day at the Douglas KOA Journey!

We are enjoying the present while looking to the future. We are locals who enjoy small-town living and sharing our hometown with our guests, along with the wonderful staff we have. Come and stay a few days to explore historical Douglas and fish the North Platte River or Glendo Lake. Want to enjoy the mountains? It's just an hours drive to Esterbrook Lodge and beautiful Laramie Peak.
