It felt deserted. No one in office. One of the water hydrants was left on and water flooded everywhere. No hot water in the showers. Otherwise nice and quiet.

The staff was polite, however, tried to charge me after I had already paid in advance, but caught the mistake. They ran out of ice. The park is wide open with no cantonment fence around, the men's bathroom shower stall floor was flooded. No trees really. The KOA sign spotlight shines right into the tent area. It has a nice layout and is quiet at night.

This is probably nothing koa has control over, however the city of Dodge smells like manure and its located right by the train tracks. So consider that being huge factors if guests decide to stay elsewhere. Also, I've seen cleaner and overall more pleasant showers truck stops. Better shower heads shouldn't be too difficult to provide. Also hair hanging off the hand rails and clogging the drain.

While the Dodge City KOA is clean and organized and has a great helpful staff. It's in Dodge City and the noise from the grain tower all night long and the feed lot smell is all overwhelming. We decided to leave at about 3:30 AM in the morning to get away from there. We were in a tent so maybe a camper trailer would've been different.

The young man who ran the office was incredible. So sweet, friendly and accommodating. This place was a last minute godsend as we rolled into a 90 degree day in dodge city, after driving 5 hours in a car with no air conditioning. Our campsite was the perfect place to cool off and unwind. Best $35 I ever spent!

No pool. No water at tent sites. No hot water to clean dishes. No shade. Too much light shining through tent from street lights and spot lights.

We camped. The only downside to the site was the lack of shade, and that is a similar complaint for the dog park. Recommended improvements: 1. Be friendly at checkin 2. Better shower/bathroom cleaning. 3. Repair plugged toilets. Improve low flush toilets to actually flush all waste on the first flush. 4. Plant more trees, as there is no shade in the tent area and dog park.

In hot weather, cold drinks are a must. Once the office closed the drink machine was broken so no cold drinks available. One of two clothes washer was working. The tent area was wide open to public needs to be more secure. This was a very clean KOA….

The staff I dealt with was extremely friendly and helpful. The tent site was grass and clean and well kept. The office/clubhouse was clean and the restroom/shower was as well. This was one of the better KOA I have stayed at.

We love the location. The ladies room shower had not been cleaned in a while (huge hairballs in the corner, gross). Toilets did not flush well. Towel dispenser didn’t work in men’s room. All maintenance issues that should NEVER happen at a KOA! For tenters, car/van campers, be aware that the power outlet is at least 75 FEET from the pavement parking (this should be noted in the site desc).

Not a very friendly greeting. Shower facilities were out dated and some not functioning properly. We asked about a cabin, and we’re told that none were available. Turns out that 90% of them were empty. If they were closed for the season….Why not just say that.

Great stay, nice shower house, soft grass pad. Water sprinkler came on from soccer field and soaked us lol, and trash was heaped over from campers before but really liked the stay.

I think I had forgotten just how good KOAs are for travelling and camping. The staff was great, the sites were large and flat with electric, and it fit our needs exactly.

Convenient location and lovely site. However the all-night noise from the grain elevator and music from the nearby waterpark combined with the street lights made for an uncomfortable sleep.

Nice facilities and helpful, friendly staff. Had some rude neighbors but not much KOA could do about it. Wish tent sites had more shade as the trees are very young so you have zero shade. Once they grow it’ll be great.

I would recommend this KOA with some caveats. We tent camped and the sites are long, narrow and rather odd. It is constantly windy (not breezy) and some kind of windbreak would be helpful. As per other reviews, the office is barely open, bathrooms are dirty and we had trouble with hot water. The real draw is the location. All the fun is within walking distance. Would stay again in a cabin.

Very clean, very friendly staff. Was very informative of places and events in the area. The camp grounds and facilities was very well maintained and clean. Staff continued through out day to make sure everyone was satisfied and made sure bathrooms and all was clean. Would so recommend staying here and would stay again.

This KOA is fairly new and very close to Dodge City. There is a fenced in city dog park that campers can use and a waterpark next door. The laundry and restrooms were spotless. There is a small convenience store. The sites are level and some are concert pads and others are gravel. Electric and water at all sites and some have full hookups.
