This is one beautiful place to stay.We had a wonderful time.The location is awesome.Ruby was so helpful with making our stay great.Explaining about the altitude and the thin air sure helped us out.

Very nice campground we arrived when the for fall aspen leaf change and it was a sight to see as we arrived at the campground. The staff was very knowledgeable\ about hiking trails and things to do in cripple creek. The bathrooms & showers were very clean and had plenty of hooks inside & outside of shower to hang your things. We will be back again next year.....

We loved this KOA but rated it 4 because our site was VERY unlevel and it was almost too short for the camper/vehicle and since we were not allowed to park on the grass it was a close fit. It would have been impossible to hook up when it was time to leave if the site in front of us had been occupied, but fortunately it was not, so we were able to pull into that space and then back up.

This commentary is perplexing. Site 160 parking pad is level, as is your fire/table area. You reserved 28 ft motor home, so not sure why the 60 ft long site was tight. Parking is 50 ft across the street from this site. There isn't a site directly across from 160 to pull into to get out. ?????

Beautiful well taken care of campground with lots of amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the off-leash dog area. The only issue we encountered, which in no part is the fault of the KOA, is there is a shooting club located next to the campground and one of our pups does not do well with loud sounds like gunfire and fireworks.

Poor pup! Fortunately shooting is intermittent, so hope you were able to relax when it was quiet.

We have been camping for many years. This KOA was one of the best we’ve ever been to. Friendly, helpfully, staff; very clean. Each site had grass, tables, fire pit. Was a great way for us to end our season. Have already booked next year! �

Very nice campground though nothing in the way of trees. Has a lot of nice features such as a kamp kitchen, dog runs, etc. Would also be nice if the tables at wach site were level.

Our tent sites are in the trees, but we like the open valley view from our RV sites, particularly the stunning sunsets that you wouldn't see through the trees. Thanks for the review!

The first time we stayed here, we had a front patio spot and had some good views and a lot of space. The second time we were further back and it seemed more like a parking lot with very little space and views because the other campers and cars blocked them. We didn't feel comfortable doing a fire because the pit was so close to our trailer and the trailer in front of us. The amenities are great.

Our sites are about 30x60 on the side of a hill. Some can feel crowded if you have a big rig next door. Unfortunately we are not able to move our permanent utilities for you. You are able to select a specific site if it is available. I'll take a look at the fire ring on site 166.

We enjoyed out stay other than the 2 dogs barking all day in the campsite behind us.

Glad you enjoyed your stay! We frequently call campers back to take care of their barking dogs. I apologize we did not notice them in this case. It would have been helpful of you to report the issue while it was an issue and we would have been happy to address it.

My favorite place to camp, when it’s not crowded. Only criticism: office/store isn’t open throughout the day.

Office hours are 8am to 8pm Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend. We are always onsite to open the store if need something in the shoulder season.

Stay was good but the sites were small for a big camper. Not room enough to park the vehicle at the campsite. Check in was super. Staff was helpful, bathrooms and showers were very clean. Scenery was very nice and close to other places to visit.

Many sites filled for Friday and free night. Many early departures on Sunday too so it was a busy weekend. Easy check in and great people to work with. Too bad the Butte Theater didn't have a show, we do like going to those.

Second time this year we have been here and we will be back. Had a great site with plenty of room and a patio with grill and fireplace. Full hookups were a big plus. Bonus for me was I needed a caulking gun to do a quick repair on the roof, mine was not with me and I was able to borrow one from the staff. We also got pizza and chicken there one night and it was really good. We will be back.

Stayed there several times. Always had a nice site with welcoming folks in the office. Pizza excellent and delivered to our site. Tasted better than round table or domino's. If you like staying at 10k foot high this is the best place we've found.

The stay was wonderful. All the staff is friendly and strive every day to make the campers stays wonderful. The bathrooms and showers are cleaned daily with plenty of notice/reminders of when they will be unavailable. It would not be easy to keep everything so clean with so many guests but somehow they do it. I will definitely go back and tell all my friends.

We has a great time! The owner and staff was so friendly, helpful and nice. Showers and bath were awesome. Canteen, pizza and chicken were yummy! Would be super cool if the facility had a hot tub. The views and area are beautiful at the Campground. Thx for a wonderful stay.

Great staff plenty of room between sites really like seeing grass between the sites. We would recommend anyone stay here the rate was reasonable if we come back this way we will stay there again.

Great service and friendly staff. The only thing that get a bad rating is the grade of the siting area and fireplace set up was unusable. I would need to put my truck in a different area in order to use the area. Table area sloped too much to use

Thanks for the review, David. Being terraced on the side of a hill (how about those sunsets across the valleyt?!), level space is certainly at a premium. However our sites are all about 30x60 and RV parking pads are level. Grassy areas are typically sloped, but that allows for the amazing views!

We stayed in Cripple Creek KOA while visiting family in Goldfield. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We were exhausted on arrival the first evening after driving long hours through rain, but were surprised by pipping hot pizza delivered to our campsite. Bathrooms and showers were clean; pet areas and playgrounds were well maintained. Saturday we enjoyed pancake breakfast. We will be back!

Cripple Creek KOA is an awesome place to stay with wonderful owners & staff. The park is well laid out. The views are marvelous and it’s so close to many things to see! We stayed for 9 nights and enjoyed every minute! The staff even had a birthday party for one of the owners & invited the whole park, as she said we are not strangers ~ we are their guests!! We will be back!

Beautiful location, very well kept. The owners are on site and very involved so your stay is drama free. No t.v. radio signal as it is between mountains. Best KOA thus far.

We've been to this KOA once before, as tent campers. Memorial Day weekend 2026 was the first time in a cabin. It was wonderful!! The cost is so reasonable. It is a short walk to the bathrooms (but not so close that you hear everyone else going to the bathroom). The staff is super helpful and friendly. The kids and I had another amazing time!!

The world's highest KOA was central to Teller county hotspots like Victor and Cripple Creek. Great service and amenities, plenty to keep kids busy! We used one of the 50 amp RV sites which were full hookup. Our Solitude 5th Wheel is pushing 40' and the spaces are tight but doable. Plenty of 5th wheels and diesel pushers on site while we were there. Would stay again!
