We stayed here for 2 nights and were pleased with everything. The office staff was wonderful and gave us useful tips for navigating the area and heading toward our next destination. We were thrilled to be able to have pizza for dinner, made right there in the office, and delivered to our campsite. This was the most expensive KOA we stayed at during our trip, but we would certainly stay again.

A very nice place to stay! The staff is so friendly, facilities are very clean, and my dogs really enjoyed having a large Camp K9. A great location for exploring Cripple Creek, Victor, and other sites in the area. Highly recommend.

This is an area we've been wanting to visit for years and were finally able to get in. We loved this park so much that we extended our stay. The park is well maintained, the staff is awesome and we can't wait for our next visit soon!!

Stayed in a fully equipped cabin that was comfortable and roomy. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. Perfectly located with ample sites to see and hiking trails to visit. Would definitely recommend this KOA to all travelers.

Had a good weekend. The owner was a bit standoffish and eager for everyone to leave (last weekend of season). He didn't seem overly friendly. However, his staff was great. Campsites were pretty close together and there weren't any trees to speak of. For this trip that was ok since it was pretty cold all weekend and we welcomed the sun, but in summer, trees are so nice.

Sorry if I was aloof, Debra. Business does sometimes demand my attention. With breathtaking views all around, we're happy you can take that all in without trees blocking the view. Come back mid-summer when it's a blistering 75 degrees. I don't think you'll miss the shade. :)

Staff/owners were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful location with well-maintained sites. Campers were quiet and respectful of rules (quiet hours, dogs on leash, etc.). It was the first KOA we ever stayed at and set a high standard for other we hope to visit next season.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds, including bathrooms and showers, were exceptionally well maintained. Impressive place. Clean and organized. Would definitely stay again.

A very beautiful place. The small local towns are really fun to explore and see all the old mining equipment. The local mine has a great tour to go down inside the mine and see how mining is done.

Very nice campground we arrived when the for fall aspen leaf change and it was a sight to see as we arrived at the campground. The staff was very knowledgeable\ about hiking trails and things to do in cripple creek. The bathrooms & showers were very clean and had plenty of hooks inside & outside of shower to hang your things. We will be back again next year.....

We loved this KOA but rated it 4 because our site was VERY unlevel and it was almost too short for the camper/vehicle and since we were not allowed to park on the grass it was a close fit. It would have been impossible to hook up when it was time to leave if the site in front of us had been occupied, but fortunately it was not, so we were able to pull into that space and then back up.

This commentary is perplexing. Site 160 parking pad is level, as is your fire/table area. You reserved 28 ft motor home, so not sure why the 60 ft long site was tight. Parking is 50 ft across the street from this site. There isn't a site directly across from 160 to pull into to get out. ?????

Beautiful well taken care of campground with lots of amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the off-leash dog area. The only issue we encountered, which in no part is the fault of the KOA, is there is a shooting club located next to the campground and one of our pups does not do well with loud sounds like gunfire and fireworks.

Poor pup! Fortunately shooting is intermittent, so hope you were able to relax when it was quiet.

We have been camping for many years. This KOA was one of the best we’ve ever been to. Friendly, helpfully, staff; very clean. Each site had grass, tables, fire pit. Was a great way for us to end our season. Have already booked next year! �

Very nice campground though nothing in the way of trees. Has a lot of nice features such as a kamp kitchen, dog runs, etc. Would also be nice if the tables at wach site were level.

Our tent sites are in the trees, but we like the open valley view from our RV sites, particularly the stunning sunsets that you wouldn't see through the trees. Thanks for the review!

Wonderful staff! Mitzie (hope I spelled her name correctly) checked me in with a smile and reviewed the camp ground amenities and rules very well. Ruby was always up for a chat and was gracious and accommodating. Didnt get the gentleman’s name but he was also a pleasure to speak with. Lissa took care of check out after a wonderful week’s stay! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

elevation got me winded but very nice park. Got very chilly at night, got down to 29 degrees. We had a cabin but the "LITTLE" heater only kept the cabin at about 50 degrees. They need better heaters. staff was very friendly. good pancake breakfast.

Not only the highest KOA but the cleanest! The entire staff is professional and treat you like family. Awesome remote location. Been coming to this KOA since 2016. Don’t hesitate just book it!

The first time we stayed here, we had a front patio spot and had some good views and a lot of space. The second time we were further back and it seemed more like a parking lot with very little space and views because the other campers and cars blocked them. We didn't feel comfortable doing a fire because the pit was so close to our trailer and the trailer in front of us. The amenities are great.

Our sites are about 30x60 on the side of a hill. Some can feel crowded if you have a big rig next door. Unfortunately we are not able to move our permanent utilities for you. You are able to select a specific site if it is available. I'll take a look at the fire ring on site 166.

My favorite place to camp, when it’s not crowded. Only criticism: office/store isn’t open throughout the day.

Office hours are 8am to 8pm Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend. We are always onsite to open the store if need something in the shoulder season.

Cabins very far fr bathrooms. Need larger heater in cabins. Had to sit in car to get warm. Definitely need some landscaping and lights. Very dark

Camping is dark; How bout those stars?!. We're a campground; Nature is our landscaping. All guest areas are neat and clean. K4 is 311 ft from bathroom. You are responsible for your camping gear, but we do provide a heater and brought you a 2nd when you asked. Recommend a hotel for you next time.

We've stayed here twice and the customer service is always great. They do serve pizzas and pancakes and that's a very nice. The owner is really friendly and committed to campers enjoying their stays. Views are very nice. The only drawback is that the sites are breast to each other and unshaded. Location is awesome as a hiking basecamp.
