The staff was very courteous, helpful and pleasant. Amenities were excellent but WIFI connection need to be upgraded so it is useful.

This is by far the cleanest KOA we've ever visited. It's laid out well, camp kitchen is a nice amenity. Tent sites have covered picnic tables, complete with a counter-height workspace. Very nice staff, too!

What a beautiful KOA!! We stayed in a deluxe cabin and it was amazing! Great kamp store, great breakfast and great staff. We will definitely be back!

This is one of our favorite KOAs! The staff is kind and very helpful. The facilities are very clean. They have plenty of fun things for the kids. And, of course, the area is absolutely beautiful! It's such an easy getaway for us!

We loved the area and staff. The screens on the cabi. Doors was a bonus as we'd never stayed in one with one. Was great to keep the door open and let the breeze in. We were disappointed that there were no outlets near the beds as we plug inn devices and read at night. The lack of a fan almost had us driving to Woodland Park to buy one. This is the first KOA we have stayed on with no fan. Hot!

Thanks for the review, Kat. We don't typically have a heat problem here at 10,000 feet (just the opposite, usually). The heaters in our cabins do have a fan-only setting and we are happy to loan one if we know you need it. Glad your stay was great otherwise!

2 of us stayed in a cabin for 1 night to visit a friend. Check in and settling in were problem-free. No trees in campground, but it is a breezy hillside so it stayed cool all day. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Camp store had food to cook such as eggs. Beautiful vistas of nearby mountainsides and forests.

We stayed in a cabin right across from my daughter's family's tent. We had a wonderful time. All the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Bathrooms and showers were clean. Grandkids loved the playground and train. This was our 2nd stay. We are already discussing our next stay. We love this place!. Did I mention the outdoor kitchen for public use, so convenient! Perfect place!

Fantastic, friendly service. Loved the little touches in the cabin like the screen door and curtains. Kamper Kitchen was great - much better than other campgrounds, and very helpful. Loved staying where dogs are welcome (even though we left ours at home - we enjoyed visiting with others!). And the views and weather were spectacular. One of the best KOAs we’ve been to - definitely will return

We stayed in a one room cabin and then in a 2 room cabin. They were both very warm and cozy. The employees were very nice and helpful also. We loved our stay and can't wait to go back.

Everything was really great! The only minor thing we ran into is the dog park, there was another individual there with their bulldog who felt obligated to leave when we walked up because “their dog doesn’t play well with other dogs”. My husband quickly picked up our pup and we walked elsewhere. Honestly, nothing bad happened, but people shouldn’t bring aggressive dogs to the dog parks.

Stayed at a cabin this time, as we were unable to get the tow package installed on the new car in time for this trip for aspen viewing. It was great fun, and proves to us that KOA is the best accommodation, whether in your camper, your tent, or THEIR cabin! We had a great get-away!

The cabin was very sparse, wifi was down staff very nice. I would not stay there again.

Sorry for the wifi outage, but sometimes systems go down and takes longer to get equipment up here. If you prefer less sparse accommodations, perhaps you should book a Deluxe Cabin or stay in a hotel? When you book a Primitive Camping Cabin, that's what you get. Unreasonable to expect otherwise.

This is my 3rd stay at Cripple Creek. Twice in my camper and this time opted for one of the deluxe cabins. It was spotless and well appointed. Incredible views and incredible owners (which is why I keep coming back). I brought my sister so she could understand my love of this campground and area. She gets it! Can’t wait to come back again next year!

The stay was great and the campground was as nice as any we have stayed at. Just want to add that the staff and owners went above and beyond normal expectations of service. The campground was very clean and well maintained. We had an emergency which caused us to leave early, staff and management were extremely helpful and kind. I will stay again and tell all my camp friends to use this capground.

Great facility and amenities. We loved the view. Also enjoyed hiking the trail up the mountain behind the campground. Awesome customer service. We used the grill that is available for camper use. Would definitely stay again.

We as a family have come here off and on for over 15 years. Our kids have practically grown up visiting Cripple Creek (and other excellent Colorado KOAs). Now that we’re empty-nesters, we have no plans of retiring from staying as often as we can. Each location (especially Cripple Creek) has continued to improve in terms of customer service and campground amenities. We’re die-hard fans.

Loved the setting, the cabin, the overall cleanliness and friendliness. One thing was perplexing, though. The map indicated a hiking trail at the top of the property, but as soon as we got to the trail we were met with a "No Trespassing" sign. Please clarify.

The trail out our back gate cuts the corner of private property but then is on BLM land the rest of the way up to the knob. Our neighbors are fine with campers crossing their property and they've added "Please stay on the trail" to the bottom of their sign.

Everything about our stay was good except one night there was a camper playing music very loudly, he turned it off after several neighbors complained to him.

My Son and I went up to Cripple Creek for a quick get away before he started school. We had our Dog in tow as well. Our stay was far too short (only 2 nights). The CCKOA facilities were very clean, tidy, and well maintained. The dog park was also a source of amusement and exercise for the dog and a great way to meet other campers. We really enjoyed our stay there and hope to be back.

We enjoyed a peaceful relaxing vacation with splendid views, very clean facilities, friendly staff, and a great dog park! We chose to come to Colorado for our 10 year anniversary and this was the perfect place for us to get away for our celebration. We wished we had the ability to stay longer and most certainly will come back. This is definitely a little slice of heaven!!

We've stayed here twice and the customer service is always great. They do serve pizzas and pancakes and that's a very nice. The owner is really friendly and committed to campers enjoying their stays. Views are very nice. The only drawback is that the sites are breast to each other and unshaded. Location is awesome as a hiking basecamp.

Beautiful well taken care of campground with lots of amenities. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the off-leash dog area. The only issue we encountered, which in no part is the fault of the KOA, is there is a shooting club located next to the campground and one of our pups does not do well with loud sounds like gunfire and fireworks.
