A beautiful campground, one of our favorites! Friendly staff, good pizza available, too!

The deluxe cabin was fabulous! The amenities that are included are impeccable: excellent mattress & bed linens, wonderful water pressure, lots of hot water, etc. I had the most incredible view of the stars from the bed, once true darkness sets in (probably more wonderful from the deck, but I was so happy to discover it in bed)! Staff is outstanding. Pizza was delicious. Store selection is fun.

Very friendly staff. Didn’t get my escort to site which I like when I’m not familiar with the campground but it is a smaller location and I didn’t have any issues. Some sites have washed out likely due to all the rain and need some work. probably waiting til next season. Didn’t use but looked at the bathhouse which was very clean with individual shower rooms. Strong Wi-Fi.

A great place to stay in the mountains. We were in and out for work but it was a very kept up with campground. We stayed in our own camper but had no issues with water or sewage. Plenty to do at the campsites and in the area and very helpful polite staff.

Clean restrooms and shower. Store quite adequate and good pizza delivered to your campsite! Good hiking trail. Altitude 10k feet but you adjust.

I've stayed here many times over the past years. I like staying here because of its location between cripple creek and Victor, being outside of town. its located up on a hill which gives a wonderful view west to the Rockies. The current owners of 5 years work diligently to make sure the cabins and rv spots are clean, roads are maintained and always see them out working to improve the area.

It was great quiet and secluded for the tent sites.

This was our 5th time here. Always friendly staff, nice location, and beautiful property. We ordered their Hunt Brothers pizza for dinner since the weather was cold and drizzly. It was delivered right on time to our camper!

Great KOA! The staff is very friendly and inviting. The property is well maintained and clean.

We just stayed for the weekend. The campground was nice. The weather wasn't great. The only thing we didn't really like was we didn't have a great view. The only thing we could see was our neighbors camper.

Great location and great staff

This koa is at 10000 ft. elevation, so from your campsite you can see mountains and the valley. Absolutely gorgeous. The customer service was outstanding and the laundry had updated equipment. They delivered wood and pizza to your campsite as you ordered it. Unbelievable!!

Very nice cabin. Clean and plenty of room for our needs. Only thing that would make it better would be a bathroom.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks, Tammy. Our Deluxe cabins do have a private bathroom. We tend to reserve the site type you book, which in this case was a Primitive cabin.

Perfect place to stay in cripple Creek. They offer pizza on Friday nights and a pancake breakfast on Saturday mornings. My family of four and our dog stayed in a cute little camping cabin. The grounds and facilities Were super clean and the staff clearly love what they do. We look forward to staying again next Labor Day!

This is by far my go to and most favorite camping location across America! I have traveled to most states and stayed at State and National parks along with KOA’s and nothing beats the family oriented and superb customer service like Cripple Creek KOA! Deric and Terri kudos for the love and passion you put into your campground!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you, Kelly, you and Jacob are always welcome!

All Staff at the KOA are professional, friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and the store has many items one may need on a camping trip but have forgotten. The addition of delivered pizza is awesome. We will continue to visit this KOA and recommend it to all our friends.

Always good to see you and Connie, Jeff!

It’s easy to see why they’ve received the President’s Award. Terrific place to stay!!

Extremely clean and well kept up maintenance on the campsites and groundskeeping

This was a fantastic place to stay for the Labor Day holiday weekend! It was the cleanest KOA I have ever visited. Immaculate! The setting in an alpine meadow was so quiet and relaxing. We loved our stay and are already planning our trip next year with more family members.

Clean, nice hookups, well managed, good playground area. Great staff, it had everything you could need. Fun was had by all. Good location.

Employees were professional and informative. One suggestion for this site, grade the interior roads! The WiFi strength was awesome!!

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you enjoyed your stay, Ken! Completely agree on the state of roads. We had rain every day for most of the summer so it has been difficult to keep up. On the flip side, the rain also means green grass and amazing wildflowers!

Beautiful location. The spots are a little cramped but overall I would say this is one of my favorites.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Some of our sites may feel cramped if you have a big rig next door. They are all about 30x60 and were built for rigs of the 90s. Hope to add some larger sites at some point but since we're on the side of a mountain, not feasible to extend what we have. So glad you enjoyed your stay!

Great site. Always clean, and sites are wonderful. Internet this year was great. Even TMobile/ATT work better this year. Friendly staff and towns around the area have many things to offer.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thanks for coming for your yearly visit, Dan! I am duly amazed that you got a AT&T signal!!!

Very nice, super friendly people. I loved wandering around the store. Getting pizza delivered to my campsite was so cool! The site was not very level but it wasn't too bad. I'm glad there was a dumping station on the way out, a hand washing station there would have made that perfect.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Thank you, Loralee! Since we're terraced on the side of the mountain, we are able to provide level parking pads but the grassy part of your site is typically sloped. We try to suggest parking all the way to the left of your site so you are stepping off onto the pad rather than the sloped grass.
Sep 06, 2022
Extremely small and unleveled sites leaving no room for my truck. Due to the extreme out of level sites getting in and out of the camper was an issue not to mention how ridiculously small the site was, putting my trailer what I would consider to be dangerously close to another camps fire pit. Additionally, you have the power and water for my trailer on the neighbors site. This is all controllable.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sites are all about 30x60 with level RV pads. You booked 4days before labor day weekend so you were in a shorter site. You could have used the vehicle parking 50' away. We will NOT be blasting out the mountain and digging up utilities any time soon. I think perhaps you should stick to city RV parks.

Beautiful view and great atmosphere.

The camp sites are a little close quarters between neighbors and tight length wise. A lot of people have to park in the driveways. The views are incredible though and temps were wonderful in the late summer.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you enjoyed yourselves! Our sites are all about 30'x60. There is parking at the top of the RV hill and by the main building, however folks with larger rigs still often prefer to squeeze into their site, which makes things seem a bit crowded.

Too many "lifers" staying or living there with 5 kids and 4 diesel trucks each running at all hours. Too many dogs pooping in the grassy areas of each spot. People going there for vacation should be told that people are dug in there basically living there. Takes away from the experience. we were stuck in between 2 such groups.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Sorry your experience wasn't GREAT, Kevin! We don't host long-term campers, although you were next door to one of our work campers. We remain a family campground, which means kids, dogs, & vehicles. I do believe there are adults-only campgrounds out there...

Great place to stay, very helpful staff. Pizza delivery to your camp site and available pancake breakfast in the morning.

Much fun! Especially enjoyed the kiddies on go carts. Family friendly. I’m a single lady and felt safe here, with my blind guard dog. Ordered pizza & firewood that was delivered by golf cart. I offered a tip that was refused as the driver said he was just doing his job. Looked all summer long and finally found the perfect night sky more larger sparkling than ever.

Best KOA (Cripple Creek) I have stayed at. Very clean facility, great location and view, but the best of all is the owner and staff. We will definitely rebook at this place.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

And you already did! :) See you in a few weeks, Edwina!

Stay was great. Staff was fabulous. Spaces are pretty tight though.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Glad you enjoyed your stay, Amanda! Our campground was built 30 years ago when rigs were a bit smaller. Our sites are all about 30x60 but acknowledged that navigation in and out can require some concentration.

I wish I could rate it 4.5 stars mainly because its a KOA and essentially a RV parking lot but there is so much great here I rated it 5 stars. First as you seen in many places around the location they are the highest KOA in the US at around 10,000 ft. This might bring some challenges of getting trees and other vegetation to grow so the sites are kinda barren some light grass between sites. The KOA is on a hill so generally you can enjoy some great views no matter where you are parked. We had a site with power and water but no sewer. Full hookups in a nice to have but no required. We did do a quick dump on the way out at their dump station. The people were incredible friendly and nice. The main building had a well equipped store with clean bathrooms and a hummingbird feeder which was quite busy and fun to watch. They even have a pizza place where you order and they deliver it to your camper. Nice touch. They have some outdoor rec stuff like playgrounds, volleyball court, etc but no pool. That might be hard at 10,000 ft where it does not get really warm. The wifi was a bit slow but it was a very busy weekend. Most sites seemed pretty level but I got one that needed 5 sets of blocks to level. Luckily I had enough. Most of the neighbors were polite and fairly quiet. Just had one nearby rig that sounded like they were running their A/C all night. As KOAs go this one was nice and I would recommend it to others.

People here are amazing. But be cautious it is 10000 foot elevation. Altitude sickness can be a real thing. Other wise it is beautiful!

This is a great park! It is very well staffed and cared for. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the sites are close together with little roads and built on a slope. Inexperienced drivers would likely have a hard time. Tow vehicles need to be parked up top as there isn't enough room to park with your rig. The park is at 10,000 ft elevation so be prepared for some amazing views and thin air!
