Peaceful and a homey feeling. We enjoyed our stay. With dogs. Their dog walk was great for getting the dogs out and exercising.

Nice campground for traveling. Grass tent site was comfortable. Train track right next to site, but no trains. Road nearby quieted down in the night.

Loved the dog park! Best one I've seen so far. The Staff was very friendly too. The park was clean and quiet.

The owner was very friendly and accommodating. He gave us several recommendations for places to go and to eat. Bathrooms were clean and updated.

Just a quick overnight as we detoured around I-70. Beautiful country and so glad we took the detour! Easy on/off, staff was super friendly! The weather was wonderful for July!

We had a short one night stay. Highway 40 is real close and was a little noisy. The camp ground was clean and the staff was very friendly.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Unfortunately I-70 keeps getting shutdown due to mudslides and all of the traffic is detoured thru Craig, which adds significant road noise during those shutdowns.

We came in after 8pm and our key was ready for us in an easy to find location. The cabin was very clean and spacious, offering amenities we appreciated such as a coffee maker, fridge and tv. The room was stuffy, but the overhead fans worked really well and there was a screen door we could lock. Amenities such as the playground were good for the kids. Bathrooms were super clean

The staff is very friendly and super accommodating. The cabins don’t have air-conditioning and even on the coolest of nights retain the heat from the warm summer days. Clean bathrooms and showers and lots of shade.

I loved having a mini fridge and microwave in the cabin. I also really appreciate that there was a dog walk and a dog park to go to with my fur babies!

The Kampground is well maintained with all amenities mentioned on the website. Staff was friendly, competent, and helpful. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is the traffic noise, which was intense at times.

We needed to stay near Steamboat, and the Craig KOA had availability. The summer commute drive is pleasant. Some sites have trees for shade. There is no river access, but there's an access point a mile into Craig that's great for people and dogs. The pet area along the railroad tracks is nice, but it's not fenced in. There is road and train noise. It's very clean and well managed.

I think it had the nicest restrooms and showers of all the RV parks we stayed in the last few months. Nice shade trees, dog park and playground for kids. And for you train buffs, train tracks in the back although we didn't see any trains.

Personnel were very friendly and helpful. A pool would have been a welcome additional, especially in the weather this month, but it was relatively easy to find and move the camper around in.

Nice basic KOA with courteous staff and a clean campground. No pool means our time is a bit limited, but we like the place for a nice overnight.

Loved this campground, dog park, giant checkers, lots of trees, great children's play areas, showers and bathroom areas immaculate---and most important, the campground employees were asking if they could help you backing, hookup and even help with emptying my black tank....

The Craig KOA campground is a regular stop for us whenever we are traveling through Colorado. Chad and Kristi are friendly, accommodating, and hard-working hosts who have made wonderful improvements to the park. The park is dog-friendly with a lovely walking path along the railroad tracks and a very nice dog park. This year, we were treated to one of the spaces they have updated with concrete pads, Adirondack chairs, and a fire pit. The spaces are good size and the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. We highly recommend the Craig KOA Journey and look forward to visiting next year.

We stayed here on a whim. They landed us bedding! Wonderful clean camp grounds. Grass for puppies, too.

We stayed in the best site of all of our KOA's. We have a 23' motorhome and an easy pull through. We are returning for 3 days. Staff were so friendly and helpful.
