We are regulars at the Coleville/Walker KOA. The campground is SO clean and well maintained. The owners "rake" the gravel between guests. There is a fantastic view of the granite rocks from many of the sites. You can use the lovely pool too! The pool is such a treat on hot days. Overall, it is a quiet campground with an older crowd. It makes a great getaway!

The Coleville/Walker KOA is a clean and well maintained campground that makes a great getaway from Reno, Carson City or Minden. Fishing, hiking, off road fun and water sports are nearby. It is also great if you just want to relax and lay by the pool. It is a gem!

I was escaping the smoke from the Garnet Fire and the amazing team at KOA Coleville helped me out with a lovely site for 5 days. Thank you!

We loved staying at the Coleville/Walker KOA. We’ve driven by before but never stayed. Upon arriving we were greeted by a very friendly employee. The park is very clean and well maintained. The sites are wide with gravel .You can enjoy viewing their rocks and cliffs behind the park. There are plenty of places to eat nearby. We choose Mountain View BBQ. It was very tasty.

The facilities were all very clean and the grounds are very well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a fun little hiking trail attached to the property that was a fun bonus. We would love to come back in the future.

Clean and quiet. Very friendly managers/owners.

The staff was great and welcoming! We were escorted to our site by a really nice guy. He was friendly and helpful. The view of the mountain was amazing, especially at night with the lights. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was due to road noice. It's right on Hwy 395, so there's lots of traffic. Other than that, the campground was clean and well maintained. I'd stay there again.

The CG is neat, no trash and in a great location for outdoor activities. The owner is helpful. He provided us a step ladder when we had to do repair work on our motorhome. And they had tonic water in the store for cocktails! Definitely worth a stay!

This was the perfect place for us to stay. We hit Yosemite, Bodie st Pk and made it to Tahoe. All about an hours drive. The owners/mgmt were so friendly from the moment we pulled in and got situated. They were helpful with explaining trails in the area and always with a friendly hi and smile on their face. Will definitely stay here again.

Great if you are a fancy RV rig and have dogs, but not if you have kids on the way to Yosemite and had to sleep in tent. We got charged for two sites and very expensive. We stopped going in and out of Y. One time they did not give us our KOA discount on both sites on our one stay and the other time they did. Not our kind of campground.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Yes, like most campgrounds we do not allow a tent AND an RV on the same site.

Friendly staff, great amenities

We loved this KOA! This location is surrounded by beautiful mountains and nearby lakes. The campground itself is meticulously landscaped. We don’t often end up on the east side of Southern California but will consider going out of our way to stay here in the future.

Loved our campsite and the park. Very clean and quiet. Lovely view of the mountains

Absolutely lovely and clean facilities! The welcome was not very warm. I drove up in a 2023 pleasure-way Tofino and was asked if it was a real rv, followed by a walk around for proof that it was. I was very excited to stay here as it was recommended by friends, but that initial encounter was VERY uncomfortable. I’m not sure why I was approached that way. My van was in immaculate condition.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We understand how important it is for our guests to feel welcome, and we appreciate your feedback regarding our check-in process. California state code requires us to verify that all vehicles in our campground meet RVIA certification standards. This policy is in place to ensure a secure and comforta

Wonderful campground! Always very clean. Hosts are very nice and accommodating. Quiet retreat.

You won’t find a better run KOA…THEY DO AN INCREDIBLE JOB! They are EXTREMELY diligent with every detail in their park, from cleanliness to packing and leveling the gravel, and are VERY strict with their rules including no visitors (they’re too small). They have a site for pretty much every type of camper; from tent to 45’ coach. Lots of highway noise and tight spaces, though…so be forew

Campground is very nice. Campground hosts are a bit rude and over controlling. Parked for a quick second to off load fish at the cleaning station and got yelled at move truck. Then was out walking my dog and needed to use the restroom and got yelled at for taking do inside the restroom, guess I should have left my dog unattended? Will not be going back.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We’re glad to hear that you found our campground itself to be very nice! However, as stated on signage at each restroom, dogs are not allowed in public restrooms due to State and Federal Law. Also out of respect to fellow customers, some people are allergic to dogs.

The grounds were great, but pull thru spots are too close to the hwy. Would love to stay up closer to the pool area. Maybe incorporate pull thru spots next to the mountain?

Very well kept campground. Scott and Tim make sure each visitor's site is prepared before arriving. Gravel smoothed, water and power up and ready and an employee assigned to guiding you to your site to explain power, water and sewer connection procedures with every guest. Even if you're a seasoned RVer. We will return soon. Thank you Scott and Tim for a wonderful experience.

We love Colville KOA. The place and the amenities are beautiful and clean. On our most recent stay when it came to hook up and take off we had a problem bringing it in one of our slides on our fifth wheel. All the staff was very helpful with advice and even provided us with a screw and bolt we needed. Thank you Coville KOA for all your help!

Beautiful "kampground"! All facilities were immaculately clean.

We’ve stayed here before and love it! Easy to find, cool in the evenings. The highway is a little loud during the day but not at night.
Aug 13, 2025
We have stayed at many KOA's, but this one was by far the best. It was clean and very well kept. It had all the amentities you could possibly want need, including a doggie bath. The scenery from the RV park was spectacular. Everything about this KOA was first class. We will definitely return in the future!

Super nice KOA! Epic backdrop. Trailer sites are wide, level, and smooth. Common areas are clean and well lighted. Wi-Fi worked very good. Restaurant next to the KOA is good. Town of Walker to south has Mountain View BBQ, Walker Burger and Walker Coffee. To the north in Coleville is a small Commissary and Marine Corps Exchange if your a Vet or Active Duty. Highly recommend Coleville/Walker KOA. Stayed here again 5/21-5/25 2026. Outstanding KOA! Meticulously maintained facilities and sites. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Epic backdrop of rock cliffs. Most of the time the provided WiFi was good enough to stream YouTube TV or HBO. I highly recommend Coleville/Walker KOA.

We recently stayed at Meadowcliff Lodge & Coleville/Walker KOA and couldn't have been more impressed. The campground was spotless from top to bottom, and our site was perfectly level — exactly what you want after a long drive. Water pressure was excellent, and the whole facility was clearly maintained with real pride of ownership. What truly sets this place apart are the hosts, Tim and Scott. After years of RVing themselves, they found this gem and it shows — they run a tight, welcoming ship. Warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about giving guests a great experience. We will absolutely be back — again and again. Highly recommend to any RVer passing through the Eastern Sierra!
