We have stayed at other KOA’s and activities for kids were included. The upcharges were a little disappointing. Activities sheet didn’t show a $ symbol but when we went to the tye dye activity, it was $7.50 a shirt. Property was pretty scenic and nice walk. We weren’t impressed when we first got there. The tent site was sooo small and we were right in the middle of a bunch of other sites. It was fine once everything was up though! There are better sites for more money. We loved it here and all the activities and pool! The site being small was fine and my kids had a blast! That’s all that matters! Next year we want to try out the teepees!

Koa Chocorua is the best! We had a wonderful time!Very friendly staff. A lot of fun activities for kids. Definitely will be staying again!

Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff. The facilities are great. I identified an issue with our site and almost instantly the appropriate staff was there to assess the situation and plan a repair. Bravo!

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff was absolutely great, and the only couple of things that weren’t 100% were that our site wasn’t as private as we thought and our neighbor was “in our biz” a lot during the long weekend, and the beach wasn’t as comfortable as it could have been. Those are both minor, and we loved the dog beach, the trails, and again, the staff was so pleasant!

Cabin was dirty upon our arrival, the kitchenette did not have basic necessities. We were forced to buy firewood that was wet & wouldn't burn. Roads rough & very tight. Outdated & dirty restrooms. Small sites. Many seasonal sites that look dumpy. Employees very nice but the facilities are severely lacking. I can't believe this KOA has won awards, worst KOA we have ever stayed at!

The staff at Chocorua Campground is probably the best service we have ever ever received. The staff is sooo friendly and helpful and beyond eager to assist with anything. Could not recommend Chocorua more highly. Thank you. Judy and Hobo

Our site (#81) was too narrow. Disappointed that there were not more scheduled nightly activities during the week of July 4th.

The KOA was overall a great place to stay, the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because you can see the potential in the place but it definitely needs updating in the bathrooms/laundry and REC center/patio area . It would make such an improvement if a little more love was put into this place.

I must say we stayed at this campground one month ago and really enjoyed it. We had reservations at another campground in the area for this weekend. Upon arrival we quickly turned around and left. We called the KOA as a long shot to see if the had a site. We got lucky. The staff was awesome. Had a blast with the kids for Christmas in July. We will be back for a third time soon.

Always have a wonderful stay at this campground. Everyone is so friendly and it’s great to see familiar faces (Doris and Steve)! Even though our kids are grown up we still reserve for the next year. Great kayaking and fishing on the pond and a great central location to hiking and shopping. See you next year!

Lots for the kids to do. Camp sites were great with just enough foliage for privacy and to feel like you were in the woods. Activities were fun for the kiddos. Food selections were a little bare and not the best tasting. But overall our experience was fun!

Campground and staff were great. The only negative thing is the pool was small and the tables and loungers were dated and very dirty. The rest of the campground was great. Likely will be back.

We thought this place was excellent, with one exception. We were given a campsite #58, that must have been the lowest point in the campground. With torrential rains on Sunday morning (July 16) we woke up at 5:30AM with the tent in 4 inches of water. That campsite needs to be filled or platformed in some way. Otherwise, the campground is beautiful, clean, and so much to do!

Overpriced site for what we thought it would be. It was supposedly a premium site but had a wooden deck in average condition. Our RV was a tight squeeze for slides to be put out. Horrible WiFi, cable out for 2 days, small laundry available..

The sites are spacious but the entry and roadways are very tight making manuevering and site entry and exit challenging. We experienced friendly and helpful staff throughout our stay. Grounds and facilities are well kept and clean.

My parents stay at Birch Lodge was great. Couple issues were, tub was dirty with bugs and something orange that wiped out when mom cleaned it. The mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable and the toaster did not work. These are a couple of improvements my parents would suggest, but their stay was great!!!

We arrived late, around 7 pm and our welcome packet and site number were waiting for us at the front office. Very clean and quiet campground, would absolutely stay again.

Very friendly & welcoming staff. Sites were tree lined and camp was well maintained. Had breakfast at the pavilion and the pancakes were yummy! Hope to come back at some point with our dog. Very dog friendly camp.

We have stayed out on the island many many times. Each stay is perfect! We love to have our own beach, sometimes to ourselves. The cabins are always neat and clean. We enjoy our weekends at Chocorua every time we stay!!!!!!

We highly recommend Beaver Lodge for upscale glamping. Our favorite part of the stay was the awesome staff. Everyone was so accommodating. Planning on returning next summer.
