The campground was nice. It was quite and had lots of things to do and the people were friendly. We stayed in the RV. It was fun and in a great location. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable so we did not sleep well.

Our family had a wonderful 3 night visit to the Chicago Northwest KOA. Our large group always found something to do without even leaving the camp grounds. It was my first time camping and I really enjoyed the deluxe cabin experience with my family members right next door! I hope to be back with my kids or family again some day.

We rented on of the park homes for a few days. Everything was so clean inside upon our arrival. And they must spray the heck out of the campground. Not one single mosquito bite! Also, there are many things for kids to do, even during the week when activities are not available.

Clean grounds and bathrooms. Very friendly staff. Deducted a fee points due to very cold pool and AC unit in K 44 did not keep up and needed cleaning.

The deluxe cabin was amazing, even for just the one night! It was perfect for our family to stay and to let the kids run off some energy after being in the car all day. The check-in was easy and they delivered a bundle of wood right to our firepit!

Our stay at Chicago Northwest KOA was amazing! Dave and the staff were outstanding, hardworking, friendly, and always keeping the grounds beautiful while helping campers. We loved our deluxe cabin and appreciated the great local suggestions. Perfect location for trips to Crystal Lake, Woodstock, and Lake Geneva!

No TV in cabin. Bathroom was not clean. Shower and toilet obviously were not cleaned in weeks. Shower curtain to small for stall and water spatters outside of shower on bathroom floor. Having to be escorted to your campsite with the whole gate and everything seems a little ridiculous is not my kind of camping. Convenient location if you need a place to stay in the area. Not a destination by choice

Plenty of activities for the kids during the Halloween weekend. I wish there was a instruction book almost. We were not aware we had heat in the cabin. A sign up by the controls would go a long way. We were second in line for the hayride, but there is no designated place to wait and people arrived late and almost cut us off. Overall a good and fun experience. Needs minor fixes.

We stayed in a studio cabin on this trip. The cabin was clean, everything worked perfectly. A very nice koa. The staff was very friendly and always checking to see if you had everything you needed. The camp it self was well kept. We are in this area a few a few times a year and would stay here again for sure.

It was a nice peaceful weekend. Quiet time was enforced. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.I'm looking forward to my next stay there. We've been going to this KOA for 30 years since our boys were 2 and 3 years old. They're now 33 and 34.

Was able to book a deluxe cabin at the last minute for one night. Cabin was spacious and it was nice to have linens provided. Used the grill and enjoyed sitting out under the full moon enjoying the campfire. Only complaint was the front door could have been a little cleaner; fingerprints all over.

Our stay was so much fun and the kids had the best time camping! We didn’t expect so many activities for kids and the family during our stay. The staff were very accommodating and just overall great! We definitely will stay again!

We have stayed here twice before & absolutely loved it - the activities & amenities are great, bathrooms are well maintained. The customer service and friendliness especially was phenomenal. This year's stay was not so great. A few seemingly new employees had terrible attitudes & smart mouths. I would love to give specific feedback about our experience to the owner if possible.

Comfortable stay for 2 nights in a cabin while visiting friends in Chicago. Had everything we needed. Mattress and cabin were comfortable. Easy walk to restroom. Appreciated the sink for washing dishes.

We stayed at KOA during the Bristol Renfest. Our reservation was for a Kabin. Our scedule had to change by a week, a Kabin was not available but the KOA staff put us in their rental RV. A great oppurtunity to try one. Thanks to KOA, we know what we want and what to look for in our future purchase. The inner shower curtain was too narrow for the enclosure. The AC was loud. Still a fun a stay

Property is maintained very well. Staff that met us at gate when driving in very friendly & professional. Check into cabin was quick & easy. RV’s are separated from cabins & tent area which is great. Showers clean & plenty of hot water. AC in cabins a little weak but ok. Would definitely stay again.

We rented 3 units, two deluxe cabins and one RV. The porch swings were awesome, and the fire pits definitely a highlight. The cleaning quality of the cabins and the RV was subpar, dirty microwaves, sinks & tubs. The groundskeeping around the cabins & campground lacking with tons of weeds and not swept. The last night the RV, sewer plumbing got backed up and again the next morning, unacceptable.

Overall, we had a decent stay at the Chicago Northwest KOA. The campground is quiet and peaceful, and the common areas are very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always pleasant to interact with. We stayed in one of the premium sites that included a paver patio and a puppy pen. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the puppy pen. It was much smaller than we expected, and the grass inside was very overgrown, to the point that there was a nest of baby bunnies in it. Because of that, we weren't able to safely use the pen for our dogs, which was one of the reasons we booked that particular site. The premium pull-through sites are very narrow with very little personal space between campers. That was the biggest disappointment for us. If you're looking for a bit more privacy or room to spread out, that's something to keep in mind when choosing a site. The water does have a noticeable sulfur smell. It didn't bother us much, but if you're not accustomed to well water, it's something to be aware of. One tip for future campers: definitely bring mosquito spray. Some of the grassy areas around the campground were quite overgrown, and the mosquitoes were plentiful, and became miserable to be out in the evenings. Overall, it's a nice campground with a peaceful atmosphere and excellent staff. With a little more attention to mowing some of the grassy areas—especially the premium dog pens— perhaps spraying for mosquitoes and improving the spacing and privacy of the premium pull-through sites, it would make for an even better experience.

After hours check in was easy, firewood we ordered was waiting for us at our site, pretty treed location. Bathrooms were ok, not dirty but older. Dumpster was overflowing and just looked bad. We only stayed one night but they had put putt golf, recreation area for kids.
