From I-64: Take Exit 118 A to Rt 29 South. Go about 6 miles, take a left onto Rt 708/Red Hill Road. Go 4 miles, KOA on left. GPS directions may be inaccurate. N37.931259, W78.566485
DO NOT TAKE EXIT 120 or 121 OFF I-64. Old Lynchburg Rd (exit 120) is a very narrow curvy road. This year, due to bridge work, we recommend route 29 over route 20 if you are coming from I-64.

Visit Carter Mountain to pick peaches and apples. They also have the best view in all of Charlottesville.
Central Virginia is home to many vineyards where you can try a tasting or a tour. Even if you don't like wine you are sure to enjoy the scenic views.
Check out Walnut Creek Park 2 miles from the campground. They have a 45 acre lake for fishing and canoeing surrounded by mountain biking and hiking trails.
The James River runs through Scottsville, 12 miles south of the campground. For more information on tubing, contact James River Runners or James River Reeling and Rafting.
