Charlotte and the Fort Mill area offers plenty of recreation. We have 3 professional sports teams, as well as beautiful parks, a nature preserve, Golf courses just minutes away, and Lake Wyle. There's plenty to do and plenty to see!
A nice lake with plenty of catfish and a great place to take the kids. If you don't have a boat, you can take the family for a picnic at the park in Tega Cay that is on the lake with a beach for swimming.
Within 15 minutes, you have access to several golf courses, including Fort Mill Golf Club, Tega Cay Golf Club, Springfield Golf Club (probably the nicest one), Sun City Golf Course (well maintained, but lots of sand) and many more.
Carowinds is an amusement park and water park. It has some of the tallest and fastest roller coasters in the country and is located 3 miles from the campground. Opening day is March 12, 2022
The Springs Greenway is a beautiful 2,100 acre nature preserve that offers biking tours, horseback riding tours, kayaking and canoeing.
Discovery Place has been an uptown staple for over 70 years. It's a fantastic place for kids to learn and get hands on with science. It's fun for adults too! Attached to discovery place is their Imax theater for a one of a kind movie experience. For events and pricing see website below

Spectrum Center is home to the Charlotte Hornets NBA team. Located in the heart of Charlotte, it's a fun way to spend the evening when the Hornets are playing and explore Charlotte nightlife after the game. If you love the outdoors the White Water Center is the place to be. It's one of a kind and located only 15 miles from the campground. It's 1,300 acres of Kyaking, Wall Climbing, White Water Rafting, Zip lines and miles of biking and hiking trails. During the summer they have free concerts Thursday through Saturday with a restaurant and bar onsite.

Nestled between two of Charlotte's oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods, worth a drive through, it's a great place for a picnic and a nice afternoon stroll. The park has plenty of walking trails and a creek the kids can play in.
