Great location. As with other reviews grass needs to be cut. Camp sites should be cleaned and maintained for next campers Could be so much more if more pride taken in maintaining the grounds

Stayed 2 nights. Very pleasant check in. Quiet park. Very convenient hookups etc. Enjoyed our stay. One suggestion. It would be good to have better lighting at the entrance driveway. Road is very busy and after dark it is very hard to see the driveway.

Not keep up. Grass and scrubs need a lot of attention. Office staff not friendly or helpful. The park just looks rundown.

I will not recommend this campsite nor will I ever go back. We had to bottle German cockroaches, loose trash never picked, dozens of feral cats running around, and broken sewer caps hence the German cockroaches. 4 inch sewer caps adapted with plumber's putty and duct tape to a two and a half inch to 3 in sewer pipe. This place is poorly maintained no mowing regiment. Also electrical hazards exist!

We glamped for 2 months and enjoyed our stay very much. The hospitality was great and the grounds are gorgeous. Lots of shade and plenty of room. Easy to pull in and out. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Having a laundromat on location was also convenient.

The campground satisfied our needs for our trip to Summerville. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The negative side of our experience was the result of the site not being mowed. I think the campground would get a lot more repeat business if the grounds were more maintained. It appeared our site had not been mowed, or trimmed for a couple of weeks.

We’ve stayed twice. I think the campground has improved a lot this year over 2022. It’s cleaner, restrooms are better and, in general, a good spot in Charleston.

Fine for a travel nurse since you are not there very often and you can pay over the phone. They also come and take your trash twice daily so that was nice. Traffic is not manageable. The Wi-Fi is pretty terrible. Lastly, I wish they had better lawn care, I was there about 5 weeks and by the end of it the grass/weeds were about 1.5-2ft by the power box and sewer connections.

The campground facilities and staff were clean and friendly. Our campsite was up against a tree so we couldn't extend our awning and the grass needed to be mowed. The mosquitoes were so bad that we couldn't sit outside at all.

We paid for a premium patio, only to find the patio busted up, grass grown so high I couldn’t let our dogs out. Neither the wifi or the cable worked. There were drug deals taking place at the trailer park attached to the campground and people would fly through the campground after buying. How is this place a KOA? Please remove the brand from this horrible and dangerous campground.

This park has gone through an amazing transformation from 20 years ago the last time I was there. And told myself I would not be back. This park is very clean and everything I saw worked as it should, the staff was very friendly and helpful, I will definitely stay here again

Definitely NOT a holiday KOA - run down, unkept, grass not mowed and clumps of grass clippings everywhere, served it’s purpose but would opt for another campground next time. One redeeming quality was their pool, which was cool and clean and we enjoyed that each day.

Would have given a 5 star but the mosquitos were awful. We could barely come out of out tent even with tons of bug spray. Looks like our plot was on a swamp and was just attracting them.

The grass was overgrown there were lots of rvs that were parked that haven’t moved in years, just not kept up like most KOA sites we have been too

Camping in the hood. Constant sirens on the busy road nearby, and bumping stereos. Park is dirty and not kept up. Staff is aloof. Shares an entry with a trailer park. Vagrants wander through camp from the nearby tree line. One camper let his dog attack at least 4 other. And last, but not least, turning left out of the drive is like doing right on a nascar track. All of this for only $420 per week!

The campground is great,it was nice having a pull through site and all the patio furniture. My only complaint is there were alot of ant hills that should have been taken care of. The location is good because it's close to Charleston but not right in the middle of all the busy.

The people were nice but the campground is very rundown. The grounds are not well kept. Apparently their weedeater broke sometime ago. There are a lot of permanent sites and they are not well kept at all. We will not return.

Interning the driveway that is shared by a trailer park was a little disturbing. As we checked in we also learned that there was only 1 bath house connected to the office and it required a code to get in the door. The grass looked like it hadn’t been mowed in 2 weeks. Asking for grass cut they did, only our site. The sewer connection was about 10” tall made it difficult to drain. Will not be

We enjoyed the stay. It was close to several small towns with great places to eat and a easy ride into Charleston. Staff were friendly and helpful. The grass on the sites was a little high. Also there were some bushes that needed to be trimmed up. The last site in row b should be left open. It was difficult for us to get out due to a trailer outside tent and car parked on that site

Facility could use some updates. Grass needed to be cut and entire grass area needed to be sprayed for ants, there were mounds everywhere. Good location for access to Charleston.

There was a water leak in the middle of site C5 and the grass needed mowing around the entire campground. We were there on a holiday weekend and figured it would have been maintained better. No activities like most KOA campgrounds.

We love KOA but this one is not to their standards. The whole grounds needs mowing/weed eating.(labor day weekend) The long term tenants are in the prime spots in rotting campers and leave their dogs outside all day and let them poop in the sites. We had a tenant ask us to move our car(on our site) because his dog poops there. They also NEED a gate. No security at all.

Disappointing from the start. My husband literally had to go find the maintenance man, and ask to borrow KOA’s weed eater because the grass was so high on our campsite. He found the maintenance man kicked up watching tv, while he let me husband take the weed eater and do his job! The rest of the campground was just as overgrown, even the empty campsites that could be easily mowed. Won’t retur

Grass was only cut 2 times during my 3 month stay. On the day we left some weeds were up to my knees. Fire ants were bad at our campsite. Weeds were covering the utilities. I asked that they be cut but weren’t.

We stayed at the campground for 3 weeks while we waited to close on our new house. My kids and I always felt safe and it was a very clean campground.

Campsites we’re nice…… except for fire ants. Nice picnic table. Management did put out some treatment yet we bought at local Walmart more fire ant killer for more nests we found. Garbage pickup guy was nice and helpful. Pool was great & worth the stay!!! Overall, recommend this KOA but if tenting…. Check for fire ant hills!

Site flooded. Grass way overgrown. Bushes and shrubs overgrown. Septic hook up just a hole in the ground without proper cover or seal. Sites not level. Overrun with ants, they got in my car and wheel well of Motorhome, wife bit numerous times. Bathrooms were clean and nice. Folks seemed friendly but could not make up for the conditions in the park. Worst KOA I have ever stayed in. I have pictures.

Unfortunately while close to Charleston this campground was a disappointment. The grass and weeds were overgrown and the campground was unkempt.

We stay in KOA's across the country. This was the worst of ANY, not only KOA. No maintenance, no lighting, bug ridden smallest dog park, closed down Pavillion because ceiling is caving in, flooding, poor site conditions, numerous giant ant hills, allow others to actually work outside with work benches, paint spraying, NO outside landscaping maintenance and more. Do not recommend this KOA

It had not been mowed in a long time, the bathrooms were very dim and dingy, the sites flooded, and the laundry room was outside and in very poor condition. Never going back and would not recommend yo anyone.

Place is great for a few nights dog park way too small for a large dog if you have kids no playground area but it's good if your going into Charleston but tough to get out on 78

It was a nice park. The area was quiet. It can use some TLC but we sure enjoyed our stay. The staff was super kind. Fast and efficient. We loved the location. I would definitely stay again.

All the utilities worked well during our stay. Place needs some help or different management. Has great potential but it's not maintained. There is no weed eating be done at all around flower beds, picnic tables, power boxes, children play area or ar the entrance. It gives the campground a run down appearance. If given the proper amount of tlc this place would be better. Pool area was good.

Nice pool. Kind of dated. Needs some TLC, mowing, clearing, etc. Dog park was closed. Location not ideal, wasn't the nicest area around the campground.

This was a very convenient location to Charleston with many eateries near by. Staff was super nice on check in! Downsides are spaces are close and for big rigs not exactly easy to get out of your space.
