Tent Reviews

The staff was very helpful at the campsite and also for giving directions to a diner in town. It was not far from the interstate but dirt roads all look the same so one can get turned around if not careful:)

Tent camping: Abundantly overpriced for the value provided at a tent camping site. This should be a $20 tent site location, but it’s over twice that amount. Recommend finding another KOA for a tent camping site.

Spent the night while visiting the nice town of Casey and the Amish village in Arthur. This campground is very easy to get to. The bathroom and showers were very clean. The whole campground is well maintained. The tent sites are a bit of a walk to the bathroom, but it is lit up enough not to be a real issue. I would stay again.

Very quiet and peaceful campground. Clean and meticulously maintained. Very friendly staff and helpful. The campground is surrounded by corn fields and farm land, which made the sunset beyond gorgeous. Would recommend and would stay again.

Was a good stay. I stayed there once before a few years ago. Only issue is my own, I have to remember how hot and humid it is before I decide to tent :-)

Way too close to highway for tent sites. With the campground being less than half full why put everyone on top of each other. Store closed too early. Campground and facilities were clean and well maintained.

We had an excellent stay in Casey. We have been tent camping across The US and this was one of the cleanest.

The Casey site was very clean, including the property and bathrooms! This was my first time showering at a campground and I felt very comfortable. Would definitely visit again!

Very well kept campground, with very kind, and caring individuals operating it. Thank you guys some much for making our stay pleasant, and having the big hearts; the world needs more people like you guy! I highly recommend this KOA, and this place should be "the";example for all KOA campgrounds!

This is a lovely little KOA. This was our third time to stay here, and we will be back due to its location. Employees are friendly and it is clean. One problem came up due to a very bad thunderstorm. The gravel pad for our tent was too hard to pound in the stakes so our tent blew upward causing rain to come in. Next time we will pitch the tent on the grass.

Ugh. This one’s a hard NO. It’s a tired, run down facility with a rude staff. It is sure to have vacancy but keep driving. There are nicer places nearby.

The employees are very nice and willing to help! We stayed in a tent site which was very nice, level and shaded. The RV sites are well maintained gravel and they are very level! The pool and restrooms are clean and thank goodness for the pool. They also have a nice open field, playground and lawn chess. The nearby town of Casey is also very cute.

Friendly service. Fast and easy booking, after hours accomodations. Clean facilities and very well maintained overall. Only stayed one night, but it was a great experience.

Our site was ok, but neighbors stayed up talking until 2am and the pool closed really early. It smelled faintly of manure and was not worth the tent price of $65!! Maybe for $20. Next time we'll stay in a hotel and at least have AC and peace and quiet.

Neighbor family in lots next to mine noisy until after 1am. Not to mention after 1am they moved their cars (because of storms) and twice shown their headlights directly into my tent. No proper camp etiquette. Earlier when I left to get food they decided to park their Tesla in my campsite parking and I was expected to wait 10min for them to move it. Bathroom clean but humid and hotter than outside

Campground had only 3 campers around. Almost completely empty. I requested a tentsite. I ended up furthest away from the bathrooms. As I came after hrs I chose another site ( after checking it was not reserved. The Patron found out and was furious. I apologized . He let me stay but the damage was done. I will never camp here ever.

Bathrooms were clean, pool was clean but very cold. The property was well kept. Sergio was very helpful and nice. When my family Kayaked he came over on his own to help take the Kayaks out of the pond. It is a great pass through camp site.

Once again KOA did not disappoint. A small. QUIET cabin with super clean KOA bathrooms. The gentleman at the desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Casey is a cute quaint and quiet town with a fantastic resteraunt. All in all it was a great weekend. Now to get back to reality.

The KOA stands out for several reasons. Like the one north of Memphis, it is gravel and convenient to the Interstate. The park is literally bordered by a huge farm, about as Southern Illinois as one can get. The owners are the hardest working Ukranian family you'll ever see. The gentleman mentioned in a negative review had just spread a load of fresh gravel as we arrived in our 65-foot motorhome combination, I helpfully offset his tire tracks to help smooth the surface as we pulled into the park. He gave the standard spiel of all KOAs about leashing and bag pickup, marshalled me to my site. Then, he dashed back to the idling tractor to spread another load. At the same time, a huge dump truck with bed elevated was doing the park's read exit. My 80-foot pull-through had fresh topsoil repair where some previous occupant had damaged the lush grass. Other sites bore evidence of similar repairs by the owner. The facilities are spotless, and -- pigs will certainly fly -- the WiFi was decent. My human-like Havanese can be programmed to stay within ten feet, the owner saw them being obedient, happily waved as he dashed back and forth feverishly alternating between greeting newcomers and fighting gravel wars. Casey itself is a remarkable Route 66-style gem, the entire population has banded together to make it a prime tourist destination. Intuition suggests this all stems from the golden age of auto travel that started pre-Depression; and, that is completely wrong. A local businessman rallied neighbors in 2009 to save a dying town, and you have to come and see the amazing results.
