Campsite was not ready for visitors. Recycled asphalt was just added and not packed down. No room to maneuver for larger rigs even though it said big rig friendly. Dog park didn’t exist. Swimming lake with inflatables wasn’t even half full let alone open. No advance notice on any of the things lacking in the park.

The campground still needs a lot of work, roads need improved specially for big rigs, we were in the F sites with no gravel pad to park on and it was listed as a pull through site, no sewer hookup. The bathhouse had no heat (very cold weekend). During our stay the power to the hookup failed at 4am so we froze till later that morning, they were able to fix the issue. Lack of staff.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

You had a reservation for a grass pull thru site for your 31 foot camper and that is what you had. You did not make a reservation for a gravel pad sewer site. As soon as we were notified about the electric we came and showed you that the electrical problem was with your camper, not our electric.

I do believe they were trying but there were a few things that could be improved on: Sewer pipes were at sites but never told us not to use Only 2 trash cans but in inconvenient spots Asphalt grinding were hard to ride a bike on Not adequate staff (the 2 working were working their tails off) Camp store not open very much Huge pile of cement left on our site for 2 days

We apologize if you missed the sewer text. We did not offer sewer sites and no one paid for one. We have dumpsters on the exit roads and can look at relocating. The roads are a work in progress we know. We are understaffed as a lot of others are now. We are a small family doing the best we can.

This was our first stay at this KOA. The website showed many amenities that our kids would have enjoyed. However, after getting here and walking around. Those amenities were less than impressive. The lake with inflatables was not even filled up to use. The mini golf was not in good shape to even play on. The restrooms had no hot water and were very small and cramped. Fishing lake & pool were tiny.

We apologize that our amenities were not up to standard for you. We did not put the inflatables in yet as the weather was very cold the weekend you were there. The kids did enjoy the heated pool. We were not informed of the hot water not working in the bathrooms and it is currently working.

It is a mess!!! Should have let people know it was under construction and not ready for coaches. Left a day early because I couldn’t take it any more. Had a terrible time leaving. Sank in the mud and really had a hard time. Maybe in a few years this might improve. Employees were nice but not helpful. No refund was given . Will NEVER go back.

It was short. But the lady who greeted us on a golf cart was very friendly and kind. She got wood for us. We were in contact thru texting and if we needed anything we were quickly answered about the issue.

A little tricky to figure out where to go to check in via a lack of signs. My son and I were primitive camping in a tent and the site we had was on a bit of a slope but we managed. The bathrooms were pretty far from our site as well which wasn’t a problem after dark so much.... The young lady that we did find to assist with check in was SUPER accommodating and pleasant. I have been ba seasonal camper at this campground for 17 years. Kris, Amy, and Dave do great work. Dave is the best manager I have seen there.

We love how far the campground has come in the last two years. They have made many improvements and continue to make more improvements. Our kids love the bounce pad,playgrounds and the swimming pool. Dave goes above and beyond to make everyone’s stay enjoyable. We are seasonal campers and look forward to staying for many more seasons.

Dave is amazing. He went out of his way to make sure our season was enjoyable. Loved the activities provided and the campground is well maintained. My only wish would be for a bigger pool. Looking forward to next year!!

We were very pleased and comfortable. Dave was a great host. Cabin was very clean. Just a suggestion -- could use blinds on all of the windows. The cabin could have been a little bigger on first floor with a futon to sit on and/or small dining table. Other than that it was wonderful. We had a great time.

Dirty, dis organized, one play grounds located between 2 dump stations... less than 6 ft away on either side. Garbage in fire pits, remnants of decking, sheds, satellite dishes left on sites. Noone in store during posted hours. Exit roadway narrow and steep incline, dmgd my trailer when leaving. Nothing in the area to do. Dave is fantastic and runs a great program for kids! This was our 2nd visit, but there will be many more! The seasonal campers are also very welcoming! Great weekend all around!

Dave was an awesome host! We had a great time. The cabins were clean the beds were comfy. The outdoor space was great with the loveseat rocker, big table and grill. There are only 2 tweaks we’d suggest. Blinds. Please consider putting blinds up in all the downstairs windows. And please put a tv in the master bedroom. Other than those 2 things, we loved it! We are definitely coming back next year

From our arrival until our departure the staff (Dave) was amazing. We stayed in one of the cabins. The accommodations were rustic as expected. The bathhouse was always clean.

Another fun, relaxing weekend at Carrollton KOA! First time we were at a campground for trick or treat night, and it was fun seeing all the kids' costumes and giving out candy. As always, host Dave was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for a great stay. Weather couldn't have been better. We will definitely be back in the Spring! Thank you, Carrollton KOA!

Everyone was very friendly an we really enjoyed the Halloween an trick or treat festivities! My wife really loved seeing all the children having fun an collecting candy.

Owners are rude and if you are in need of a medical emergency they will throw you out even preexisting conditions. No store and have to go off grounds to get the little you needs or wait on someone to assist you. the pool is small. the kids amenities are nice when the owner will let them use them.

Had Halloween for kids this past weekend. It was great time! Been at a lot of KOA, this one is a gem for getting away for a couple of days.

My wife and I had a great time at the campground, Wide open and spacious.Very clean. Everyone was friendly. Dave was the best. Very helpful with anything we asked.

Very spacious sites. Beautiful tall pines on the small hiking trails. Enjoyed the large field at night by laying on blankets looking at the stars. Dave the manager was quite accommodating and went above and beyond for us. Thank you!

Newer campground but everything worked fine. Workers were friendly. We spent time traveling to sugacreek area. Ride wasn’t too bad back and forth from campground. They may have to widen rode coming into campground in the future. Bathouse was clean with good hot water, but a little drafty with just the screen door. Overall very nice.

Dave the host was as pleasant as always, directing us to a new (to us) site, which we loved. Thanks also for the gift bag! We appreciated how level it was. Had a great stay, as always. We will be back for sure.

After finishing up our 3rd year as seasonal campers we only have great things to say about this place! Great owners and staff, clean facilities and plenty to do. We have made so many close friends camping here. Can't wait for spring!!

Was having trouble finding somewhere to camp on short notice. It was late. They accommodated my every need and had reasonable prices. They even picked out a beautiful spot for me where I had a great amount of privacy. They had events going on and an outdoor heated pool on top of a regular swimming and fishing pond. Thoroughly enjoys my time there. Very polite staff. Only suggestion I have, make the restroom stalls bigger!!
