Very cozy area nestled at the foot of majestic Mt. Sopris. We had a nice relaxing time with our 2 night stay. We stayed in the Air Stream Trailer. It was comfortable. My only complaint would be that there was not curtains on all the windows. The restroom was a convenient walk away. The amenities were nice. Friendly staff.

We had a very nice time at the Carbondale KOA. The restroom facilities are new and clean and the pool was refreshing. The staff and campers were very friendly and helpful as well. The only thing I would like to see changed is to have a wall/block between the highway and campground as the traffic noises are loud and continue throughout the night.

Great campground, very friendly staff. Facilities are excellent and clean. The only issue is that campsites close to the highway get a great deal of road noise.

This has been one of our favorite campgrounds to visit. The views are spectacular, the location superb and the facilities are excellent. However, we have only one negative comment. With it's river side location the cool, moist air keeps the campfire smoke and charcoal grill smoke down in the campground. Every night we experienced thick, noxious smoke at our campsite and in our truck camper.

We have come to Crystal River KOA for a number of years since it is a quick get away from home. It's clean, the help is friendly and the location is beautiful.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff-- all facilities and campgrounds were extremely well kept and clean. We had a tent site by the river and it was so peaceful and calming. Only negative would be about other guests, not the campground itself (running generators at night, bright LED lanterns on continuously that illuminated their campsite as well as ours, etc.).

It was a beautiful weekend on the river, even with the rain. My husband was able to fly fish 20 feet away from our tent. I was able to ride my bike all the way to Basalt (could have ride to Aspen, if my bum could have handled it). Then a dip in the pool. Campfire at night while star gazing. It was marvelous. Nice staff and a gorgeous KOA campground, highly recommend.

It was a lovely stay!! Quaint, comfortable, wonderfully laid out. Best shower/bathrooms that I've seen in a campground. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly and that set the tone for all the guests as well. Just a super pleasant week. ps. if you NEED internet for streaming, etc. you may need Starlink or similar. T-Mobile was not usable, as the campground is in a little canyon.

Louise and Dennis made our trip!! Great clean well equipped cabin. Love the location right on the river and the morning sunshine all over the modern and clean dining area. We'll be back next year. Keep up the fine work!

What an amazing campground. Beautiful along the River and so close to so many special mtn towns. Hosts incredible helpful and friendly. Nice and quiet. Great for kids and dogs!

We had a great stay in a cabin RIGHT BY THE RIVER! It literally is right outside the door, which made it very handy to fish or just hang out and enjoy the sounds of the water. We have already talked about going back in September when the leaves are changing...highly recommend!!!

The staff are all absolutely amazing, always happy to help and very courteous. We didn’t like our cabin site #10, the fire pit is near the river but because of the rain everyday, it was a mud mess so we couldn’t use it. Cabin #9 next door has a nice paver walkway and we noticed that fire pit was used ever night.

Quiet, peaceful KOA on the Crystal River. Campground is clean, staff was very nice and we loved that it's a smaller KOA. We rented cabin #7 and since it's on the river, we didn't hear the highway noise. Cabin was private and not close to the neighbors. The cabin was comfortable, had a full kitchen, full bath, bedroom and second bed area in the main area.

its a nice place , I didn't realize the airstream didnt have A/C. and the pool closes at 7pm , not happy about thiat we arrived at 6:40pm and it was hot , pool should stay open until at least 9am

This KOA thought of everything. Even a place for the tenters to wash their dishes. Secluded tent sites, offset RV spaces and patios so you don't feel so lined up in a row. Their cabins from the singles to groups look inviting with plenty of space in between. I think that is how we will stay next time because we will be back!

I stayed for 2 days. The office personnel was wonderful. She was very helpful and friendly The cabin I stayed in was perfect for me and my service dog. It was right on the river and great to sleep by

Our stay was great, we love this place. I would suggest making a “quick run” through the bathrooms after the morning rush. Just a quick clean. Somewhere around the trash cans some recycle bins would be nice, it was terrible to see so many plastic water bottles in the trash. We took ours to Carbondale. See y’all next year if not this fall. Beautiful clean campground! The grounds were so nicely kept! The dog walk area was green and lovely to hang out in with my pups. The pool was COLD but clean and refreshing. Thank you for a lovely stay.

I only stay one night, but I was pleased with the cleanness, nice bathrooms, pretty place, good location, and very friendly staff. I like too all the amenities they offer in the main office for rainy times; TV, games, mini-self cafeteria, and more. I will be back!

We absolutely loved our stay at the KOA in Carbondale! We rented one of the cabins right on the river, and honestly, this place felt like a dream. Everything was so clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. The cabin was comfortable, peaceful, and had the perfect mix of camping and convenience. Falling asleep to the sound of the river and waking up to the mountain views was incredible. The entire property was stunning, and you can tell so much care goes into keeping everything nice for guests. We loved every second of our stay and truly did not want to leave. This was one of those places that instantly makes you start planning your next trip back before you even leave. Thank you for such a wonderful stay — we will absolutely be back soon!

We had a peaceful stay at the Carbondale KOA Holiday. Great location by the river and very quiet. The RV park was clean and the dog park was a big plus. We would definitely stay again.

My girlfriend and I got stuck in bad weather in the middle of a motorcycle road trip in early August of 2024. We were heading south from Carbondale and we were hoping to avoid bad weather but unfortunately had no such luck. We double backed to a KOA we had passed and the hosts, Danny and Belinda, let us come in for a bit to dry off and escape the rain. We sat in there for as long as we could hoping that the rain would pass but ended up having to post up for the night and pitch a tent. Danny and Belinda were fantastic campground hosts. Super sweet folks that went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. The next day we completed our journey to Penny Hot Springs which is a short distance from the KOA. I would absolutely consider staying here again and even moreso if Danny and Belinda are working. Thanks y'all!
