This was my 3rd time here. I've had the same spot each time and it's beautiful. The bathouse is always clean and the dog park is so clean and has such nice grass. The bike path is a huge plus. My friend stayed in a cabin and it looked wonderful. Only negative I could say is that I wished the pool was open. However, I understand due to it getting cold. The staff has always been so nice and helpf

Great campground in a perfect location. Hosts Dennis and Louise were super friendly and helpful. Campground was very clean and well maintained.

Second time staying here a great spot for access to many activities. Fishing is close by on Gold Medal rivers. Hiking and biking are also close by. The facilities are very good highly recommend it.

We stayed in Cabin 9 and it was nice! The only thing negative was the bed, it has a dip in the middle and was bouncy We kept rolling to the middle and wasn’t very comfortable Otherwise we will definitely return next year!

Excellent super-clean bathrooms. The games were fantastic:corn hole, volleyball, horseshoes. The general store and staff were super nice and helpful. The location was beautiful right along the river.

Stayed two nights in mid-Sept and found the accommodations, personnel and the setting to be very good. Doubt we’ll stay there again due to logistics but would recommend to those traveling through this area. Highly recommend a site along the river.

This was one of the prettiest KOA’s we have ever stayed at! We had a Creekside site, and it was worth every penny. The bathhouse was new and beautiful, and the people were friendly.

Owner is very rude and unfriendly. Did not give me my 10% discount for belonging to KOA. Had to go back and ask for it after I looked over my receipt. Didn’t tell me that I had a free pump service after staying 5 days, found that out from others staying there. Other campers had a similar experience with the owner. On the plus side there is a very nice dog park, and nice bath house.

I love this KOA and area, especially as a solo traveler this time, I felt safe in the family environment. I rented the tipi but ended up sleeping in my car - the tipi is so close to the highway - the cars zooming by were so loud and too close for comfort. Wish it would have been closer to the river! Definitely recommend sunrise + sunset at the Penny Hot Springs down the road.

Check in process slow (new staff), excuses made for why they couldn't apply our deposit correctly. No sauna or laundry facilities as advertised. Was told on inquiry, "well I HAVE TO go to laundromat for MY laundry," big difference - you work here, & I'm on vacation ma'am, and paid for these amenities when less $$ & quieter camping available up the road. Campground & showers (hot) were clean.

Beautiful setting. Well kept campground, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Not many place are quiet enough to hear the river running beside your rig.

Very beautiful area unfortunately they have bed bugs and did not take the complaint seriously. The owner sent email saying the inspected the bed . Bed bugs can hide in any crack and love wood which the hole cabin could not be inspected properly. Another excuse is they never had a a complaint knowing that bed bug bites can take up two weeks to show up so most don't know where they got bites i

Site #9, right on the river! Couldn't ask for a better site. It took some work to reserve it, but worth it. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at the KOA in Carbondale! We rented one of the cabins right on the river, and honestly, this place felt like a dream. Everything was so clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. The cabin was comfortable, peaceful, and had the perfect mix of camping and convenience. Falling asleep to the sound of the river and waking up to the mountain views was incredible. The entire property was stunning, and you can tell so much care goes into keeping everything nice for guests. We loved every second of our stay and truly did not want to leave. This was one of those places that instantly makes you start planning your next trip back before you even leave. Thank you for such a wonderful stay — we will absolutely be back soon!

We had a peaceful stay at the Carbondale KOA Holiday. Great location by the river and very quiet. The RV park was clean and the dog park was a big plus. We would definitely stay again.

My girlfriend and I got stuck in bad weather in the middle of a motorcycle road trip in early August of 2024. We were heading south from Carbondale and we were hoping to avoid bad weather but unfortunately had no such luck. We double backed to a KOA we had passed and the hosts, Danny and Belinda, let us come in for a bit to dry off and escape the rain. We sat in there for as long as we could hoping that the rain would pass but ended up having to post up for the night and pitch a tent. Danny and Belinda were fantastic campground hosts. Super sweet folks that went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. The next day we completed our journey to Penny Hot Springs which is a short distance from the KOA. I would absolutely consider staying here again and even moreso if Danny and Belinda are working. Thanks y'all!
