Traveling From California toward Colorado and a 24 foot trailer and it’s not often you can find a KOA camp out-of-the-way that makes you feel like you’re really camping in nature.! The Hosts are like old friends. The place is very well maintained and organized. Close to several Hot Springs and Glenwood Springs has many restaurants as well as Carbondale. people would keep their dogs on leash is

The campground staff are AMAZING! So warm & welcoming. Very attentive & kind…which is soooo appreciated these days. The dog play area is wonderful…probably the BEST KOA K-9 area I’ve seen across the U.S. The Outer Banks one is alright, too, but only because there was a live band playing nearby! Loll DEF recommend the Crystal River KOA…just an easy drive off of I-70 gets ya there.

The location is great. The view breathtaking, and a short bike ride to Carbondale. Our site backed up to the river. The bathroom and showers were very clean. The staff worked hard to clean up after each campsite was vacated.

Cleanest, best laid-out campground I've ever stayed in. Wonderful dog area. Lovely and plentiful horticulture. Well-placed privacy screens. New bath house. Bbq and picnic tables at every site.

One of the nicest, cleanest and most maintained RV resorts we have stayed at. Plenty of room between camp spots and the dogs loved the enclosed dog park. Can’t wait to come back again.

Our first camping trip in our new RV, and this was the location we chose. Super friendly staff super convenient location. Clean facilities everything worked great. The little store was well stocked and it was a great weekend. Thanks again.

This is our 3rd time. Great location! Luckily my brother is an engineer at the Four Seasons and was able to fix the heater that was rattling off the wall. He also cleaned out the bath faucet that was spraying all over. Overall great stay and we greatly appreciated the bundle of wood!

Lots to rave about this koa location: excellent cabins, prime location, private layout, etc.. the wildcard is always the hosts. Happy to share that Taylor & Coty were fantastic hosts that kept the grounds very well kept, the cabin spotless, and available for questions when needed!

The hosts were very helpful and quick to respond to questions via email. The cabin was clean and ready for use and the facility was well maintained with the icy weather. It was unfortunate that laundry facilities were not operational (and not listed as not operational on website) but the hosts were helpful in finding a nearby facility. Would definitely stay here again.

It was a lovely campground. We arrived later in the evening but got a spot right by the Crystal River. The fall trees were beautiful. We had a great nights sleep listening to the gentle sounds of the river. In the morning we had coffee in the office and had a lovely chat with the staff. We will stay here again. Quite lovely in fall.

The facility was nice but we had issues with our dogs. I use KOA because they are pet friendly they are our go to for camping. We travel with several small dogs and as dogs do they bark from time to time. We were complained about and lectured about our dogs barking if they barked one time when other dogs in the park were barking. We felt harassed and will never return to this koa!

One of the better KOAs we've visited! The managers and workers were very friendly and did a great job providing a welcoming experience. The restrooms and showers were very clean and functional. The easy-access dump station was a reasonable alternative to not having a sewer hook-up.

We absolutely loved our stay at the KOA in Carbondale! We rented one of the cabins right on the river, and honestly, this place felt like a dream. Everything was so clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. The cabin was comfortable, peaceful, and had the perfect mix of camping and convenience. Falling asleep to the sound of the river and waking up to the mountain views was incredible. The entire property was stunning, and you can tell so much care goes into keeping everything nice for guests. We loved every second of our stay and truly did not want to leave. This was one of those places that instantly makes you start planning your next trip back before you even leave. Thank you for such a wonderful stay — we will absolutely be back soon!

We had a peaceful stay at the Carbondale KOA Holiday. Great location by the river and very quiet. The RV park was clean and the dog park was a big plus. We would definitely stay again.

My girlfriend and I got stuck in bad weather in the middle of a motorcycle road trip in early August of 2024. We were heading south from Carbondale and we were hoping to avoid bad weather but unfortunately had no such luck. We double backed to a KOA we had passed and the hosts, Danny and Belinda, let us come in for a bit to dry off and escape the rain. We sat in there for as long as we could hoping that the rain would pass but ended up having to post up for the night and pitch a tent. Danny and Belinda were fantastic campground hosts. Super sweet folks that went above and beyond to make sure we felt at home. The next day we completed our journey to Penny Hot Springs which is a short distance from the KOA. I would absolutely consider staying here again and even moreso if Danny and Belinda are working. Thanks y'all!
