This review specifically pertains to tent camping. I didn't even attempt to camp out there. I saw where the tent locations were (about 120 feet away from I-40) and left. The tent location should be up on the hill farther away from the highway for obvious 'noise' reasons.

Campgrounds was very well maintained. Very friendly / helpful staff. 5 star bathroom / shower house- feels like you are at your own home. Only negative is the closeness to the highway and the road noise. We were in a tent and it was pretty loud all night. It would not stop us from staying again though.

It was a smooth checkin-check out. Very clean and comfortable. Motorcycle riders, please use this. It's a perfect pitstop. I know I'm going to book it again if I am on the 40

This is a good campsite for RV people, it is very pretty, but for tenters I would not recommend. The showers had toilets in the same room, very close together, which did not feel very sanitary. The kitchen sink to do dishes had a broken faucet that didn't work.

The facility was great but the tent camping next to the interstate was horrible.

Easy to book online; late registration docs were available outside office. Tent site was nice, level with small hill behind. Although electric wasn't 110 outlet, it was just a walk across to other empty site to boil water. Each bathroom is private and opens via code number. Traffic from freeway is noisy.

The campgrounds seemed clean and late checkin was easy, but my tent site was so close to the highway that I couldn’t sleep at all. Loud semi trucks and other traffic were constant, so I gave up trying to sleep and packed up around 3am for another 9 hours on the road with no sleep.

I was in a tent. Why would anyone make a tent camper set up directly on SUPER LOUD Rt. 40? I've been to KOAs with close highway proximity, but never experienced such a loud highway (with no real nighttime relief, because there was a constant flow). If the tent area was moved behind the RVs, they'd get some sound buffering. I'd rather listen to someone's generator all night.

Main office bathrooms were immaculate. The secondary bathrooms had toilet issues our last morning. Other than the noise from the interstate (which cannot be helped much) the campground was very nice!

One set of restrooms had trouble flushing and were flooded. The campground was way too close to main highway and therefore had highway noise all day and night! The ladies that worked there were rude.

Good campground close to the Interstate. Gravel roads in the campground may be difficult for some street motorcycles. Great facilities and assistance with check in.

I really enjoyed the stay! The highway being near and the noise from the 18 wheelers & traffic were distracting, which I was able to tolerate, but my husband prefers more secluded scenery.

The host was very friendly! He called me right back when I left a message after hours. The site was spacious and just off the highway making it really easy to hop back on in the morning, as we were traveling. There was a water faucet at our site and a really nice dog park for our dog. We loved our tent camping site! Thank you so much!

The facility and staff I would rate at 5 stars. The location of the facility, I would rate an 0. Our tent camping site, contiguous to I -40, made sleeping next to impossible, even with the earplugs we were provided upon check in. I will not be back for this reason only. Bob Walker

Penny and Holly are wonderful and the KOA is beautiful, but it is next to I-40, so it is noisy.

Campground and bathrooms were clean. We did not see any of the staff because we were a late check in and an early check out. It appeared that a number of improvements were underway and look like they will be nice when complete. The interstate was noisy, but that was expected.

We are at the KOA at Hurricane mills off exit 143 on 40 west it is really nice, nice size camp sites water, grills, it has a swimming pool

This is a KOA campground. The sites were well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was clean and in good condition.
