Crest Bar & Grill Restaurant | Bakersfield KOA Journey

Crest Bar & Grill was originally a drive-in movie theater which opened its gates in 1963. Crest was able to keep its gates open for thirty-five years before having to close them in 1998. In 2003, Crest was dismantled after being closed for five years, but fortunately for visitors and the community, it was re-imagined as the Crest Bar & Grill restaurant, now located at Bakersfield KOA Journey.

With fresh homemade recipes and a calming, relaxed atmosphere, Crest Bar & Grill has the perfect homey feel for a great meal. This full-service restaurant is open to the campground and community and serves up delicious American cuisine.

Deep-fried and tossed in either our spicy buffalo sauce, house-made barbecue sauce or garlic and Parmesan. Served with your choice of cool ranch or creamy bleu cheese dressing and celery sticks.

Stuffed Mushrooms

Large mushrooms stuffed with cream cheese, smoked Gouda, bacon, chives and Parmesan cheese.

Chile Verde Nachos

Freshly cooked corn tortillas, topped with our house-made chile verde, melted cheddar and jack cheeses, pico de gallo and sour cream.

Ultimate Pastrami Smash Burger

All the toppings! 8oz. Certified Angus Beef patty smashed into caramelized onions, topped with melted pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, avocado, house-made 1000 Island dressing and stacked with pastrami.

Cajun Chicken Sandwich

Grilled Cajun seasoned chicken breast with pepper jack cheese, bacon, tomato, spinach, crispy onion strings and chipotle ranch dressing on a brioche bun.

Classic Burger

8oz. Certified Angus Beef patty, mayonnaise, mustard, lettuce, sliced tomato, red onions, and pickles on the side.

Crest Pastrami

Succulent, thinly sliced pastrami smothered with smoked Gouda cheese, pickles, mustard and red onion on grilled rye bread.

Old Crest Drive-In Club

Deli ham, oven roasted turkey, sliced tomato, lettuce, red onion, cheddar jack cheese, smoked bacon and mayonnaise on toasted sourdough.

French Dip

Thin-sliced roasted Certified Angus Beef tri-tip piled high on a grilled French roll. Served with a cup of au jus. Add freshly grilled mushrooms, green bell pepper, onions, and Swiss cheese for and additional charge.

Patty Melt

8oz. Certified Angus Beef patty, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese, with Thousand Island dressing on grilled rye bread.

Wild West Cheeseburger

8oz. Certified Angus Beef patty, crispy bacon, Cheddar cheese, a housemade beer-battered onion ring and our housemade barbecue sauce.

Pastrami Gone Wild

Not our usual pastrami! This has sautéed onions, jalapenos, garlic, mayonnaise, avocado and pepper jack cheese on grilled sourdough.

BBQ Chicken Salad

Romaine lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheddar and jack cheeses, sliced red onion, and bacon with ranch dressing. Topped with a grilled chicken breast smothered in our house-made barbecue sauce.

Baja Salad

Romaine lettuce with tortilla chips, pepper jack cheese, corn and creamy chipotle ranch dressing topped with grilled top sirloin or chicken with avocado slices and fresh pico de gallo.

Lemon Chicken Piccata

Our tender chicken breast is lightly breaded then simmered in a delicate lemon-caper sauce.

Boneless certified Angus beef New York strip is well seasoned and grilled to your desired temperature.
