The staff member that was working was very rude. Our stay was interrupted by other guest, we said something nothing happened, I left the same day I arrived. After leaving I called to let the staff to explain was hung up on, then another call over a vehicle that wasnt mine that was also hung up on. Would definitely recommend other koa in area

Baileyton KOA is always clean, friendly, and peaceful, with plenty to do at the campground and features a well-stocked camp store. The campground is near enough to I-81 for convenience (iHOP, breakfast drive-thru, antique store and gas), but far enough away to be quiet and beautiful. This is one of my favorite KOA's. I'm a solo tent/car camper and always feel very safe and welcome here.

This is a great campground. We were tent campers, the tent area was very nice and quiet. All of the facilities were in great condition and very clean. Many on site amenities, pool, driving range, etc.

The grounds were peaceful and a lot of wide open spaces for the kiddos to run. Everyone was so friendly and the staff was amazing. We had to change our travel plans a couple times and they were very accommodating. 10/10 recommend!

We only stayed one night of an eleven day motorcycle ride, but we enjoyed our stay. Tammy was great to work with while planning the trip and really pleasant when we met face to face. The facilities were clean and looked newly renovated. I would stay there again when in the area.

Off the beaten path for sure, but amazing cabins! Clean and very comfy, the AC wasn't working well in the original cabin they put us in. But they moved us to one that was very cold and very comfy. Lots for the kids to do, clean and nice staff. This was our 4th time staying here.

Outstanding Campground with Beautiful Grounds and Exceptional Staff We stopped at the Baileyton KOA in Tennessee for a one-night stay while traveling home from Texas, and it exceeded every expectation we had. The first thing that stood out was how beautiful and immaculately maintained the campground is. The grounds are spacious, well-kept, and thoughtfully designed, making the entire property feel welcoming and relaxing. The facilities were spotless, and it's obvious that both management and staff take tremendous pride in maintaining the campground. The staff was exceptional—friendly, helpful, and genuinely committed to making guests feel welcome. From check-in to departure, every interaction was positive. While we were only there overnight, it's easy to see why many families stay longer. There are numerous activities available on-site, including a huge mountain slide that looked like a lot of fun. There is certainly no shortage of things to keep both kids and adults entertained. Another great feature is the snack bar. After a long day on the road, having convenient food options available was a huge plus. They offer everything from sandwiches to fresh pizza, making it easy to relax and enjoy the evening without having to leave the campground. The location is also excellent, with plenty of attractions and places to explore in the surrounding area. The only downside wasn't the campground itself but a few fellow campers who chose not to observe the posted quiet hours, which made it difficult for some guests to get the rest they were hoping for. Unfortunately, that's something that can happen anywhere and is more a reflection of individual campers than the campground. Overall, Baileyton KOA is one of the nicest campgrounds we've visited. Beautiful grounds, outstanding facilities, excellent staff, plenty of activities, and convenient amenities make it a destination we'd gladly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

This would have been a 5* experience except for the woman who was making pizza and checking people in. She was having a terrible day. In a customer facing position, you have to be good at faking it or the job isn't right for you. Do something else. No eye contact, no smile, stone face, no greeting… I stood there while she spread tomato sauce on the pizza. She went away and I thought she was going to say something to me, but no, she came back with cheese which she carefully put on top. During this time, I asked twice where my hubby should park for check-in, there are no signs, the second time more loudly. No response. Keep in mind, I was the only person in the office. Nobody before me. The first thing she said to me was “Name”. Then “sign here”. Then “you're down D.” And then she went back to the pizza. This didn't affect our overnight at all but it wasn't what I expected after a 6 hour drive from a KOA Holiday office manager. If the day is going that poorly, and there certainly are days like that, maybe it's time to take a day off. If she's the owner, yikes!
