This campground is just off Exit 195, Avila Beach Drive: Turn right onto Ontario Road. This KOA is 5 miles north of Pismo Beach, 3 miles from Avila Beach and 5 miles south of San Luis Obispo.

The Pismo State Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove is half a mile south of Pismo Beach, just off Hwy 1. The grove is open from late October through the month of February.
