Stay every year on the way to and from Sturgis

The host drove his golf cart around monitoring noise levels relentlessly and yelled at our group for socializing around a campfire “past curfew at 10pm.” This is not a campground, it is merely a parking lot for people to come and sleep, nothing more. What a wonderful stay! The owner was so kind and gave us an amazing spot since we have a large dog that had a huge area for him to be on a lead outside. The campground was so clean and quiet. The store was stocked with so many items. We really enjoyed coming here and will be back many times.

The sites are smaller than most. We stayed at a premium site. The Patio was less than expected for the cost. The sewer connection came out at strange angle making it hard to hook up.

Nice campground. We stayed one night passing through the area. The only problem we had was the women's bathroom was being renovated and there was only 1 clean shower. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

They put us ( 42ft 5th wheel) in a site that had tree on our passenger door side. It took every inch of that site for us to fit....then when I put out my dining room slide it was almost against the tree. Sites on either one of us were empty. Somebody needs to know the sites in their park. Sites are VERY cozy.

We were weary travelers, and this was the much needed, quiet stop to rest and recharge to get back on the road. We were very grateful for the fenced in K9 play area. Loved the trees and cozy campground. Thank you for letting us stay!

Nice trees and beautiful view of the cornfield. Wonderful gentleman checked us in and the utilities were good except for the limited WiFi. Blazing star trail is a paved trail great for hiking/biking close by as was Walmart and other stores.

Quick on and off highway. Very friendly staff. Clean restrooms/showers. Surrounded by cornfields and sparse shade. Would stay again for quick one night travel.

Unfortunately it wasn’t that great of a camp ground. We had 2 separate families/sites, neither site was too clean. 1 site didn’t have a table or fire pit. There was an old picture on Google maps showing a pool, which closed at least 6 years earlier. Won’t recommend place if little kids are along.

This KOA was very nice but unfortunately they must have had a lot of rain before we arrived because part of the campground had standing water. Our site was fine and we did get to enjoy our time there. We stayed 1 night and were happy with the stay.

I have stayed at the Haywood/AustinKOA for several years in the past. The Owners are such people. The Camp grounds are clean. They keep the bathroom/showers clean. AND there is always hot water. The camp ground is shaded and sits amongst farm fields,which,to me is quite nice. I like making reservations directly with the onsite staff and they are always able to accommodate me. Thanks to them

Finally had a almost rain free stay. (The owners really have no control on that.) If you're looking for a great KOA to stay at, this is that place.... always welcomed when we stay here.

We stayed two nights. The mosquitoes were awful. Our patio needed maintenance and cleaning. Friendly staff and surprisingly quiet to be right off the Highway.

Great little campground with friendly staff and a location that is close enough to the highway to be convenient but still be quiet. This location worked out great for our visit to the Spam museum on our business trip. Definitely recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at this KOA campground! The new owners is a veteran, which we really appreciate, and it shows in the pride they take in running the campground. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The campground was very clean, including the sites and bathrooms, which were well maintained. Our kids enjoyed the small playground, and the overall atmosphere was family-friendly, quiet, and relaxing. The location is also very convenient—right off the highway, making it an easy stop while traveling without sacrificing a peaceful camping experience. We're excited to see how the new owners continue to improve the campground and would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend for families and travelers looking for a clean, comfortable, and welcoming place to camp.

Nice quiet campsite. Conveniently located near interstate 90 but far enough away so that we didn't have the traffic noise. Friendly helpful staff. Peaceful. Update 6/5/26. New owners are great. Working hard to get park cleaned up after Ash tree removal due to disease. Clean bathrooms and laundry. Will definitely stay here again!
