Site was The perfect back in with lots of shade! Staff was Great. Everyone was helpful and the K-9 Kamp always had Friendly pups to enjoy. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Nice campground with shade! Which in Texas means a lot! Nice staff. They have a pool which is also shaded. It is just off the interstate but we did not hear any noise in our RV. Staying there again in just over a month!

This KOA needs some attention. We have stayed here several times in the past and this is the worst the park has looked. There had been a storm a couple of days prior to our arrival which broke a lot of tree limbs which I understand, but there were several sites on the west side that weeds were growing in the sites and needs treatment. Also grass needed to be mowed throughout the park.

Nijoy was amazing. He helped us in and out of our site. We had a trailer behind our motorhome. There was a tree preventing us from pulling out to leave so he greatly helped us safely back up to leave another way. The people were all very kind!

Grass uncut / looked like no attempt was being made to pick up limbs from weather . Office and store was never open the time I was there.

This was our 2nd time at this location. We were happy that our cabin was close to our kids' campsite. We were close to the pool and park and with 4 kids, that was perfect! The pool was very cold, in the shade and closed a little earlier than we had anticipated, but it's the beginning of the season, so I'm sure that's better later in the summer.

NOT to KOA standards! Staff was very nice, but campground needs updating. Heard there were new owners so hope things turn around. Overall appeal of this KOA was run down and in need of serious maintenance. Weeds were everywhere, fence between seedy Motel 6 next door had fallen. Stray dogs were roaming campsite, No car pass to show who/who did not belong. Left early, did not feel safe.

The campgrounds are nice and clean, The employees are very pleasant and helpful. We stayed for 4 nights as a stop to rest. Yes, we will stay again and would recommend this KOA to everyone.

We have stayed at Abilene KOA Journey many times. Love this park. Lisa and Nijoy greeted us upon arrival. Tony took us to our site and Tammy helped with our questions. Will stay here again and again when in the area.

The worst part was being put into a spot that had dog poop left in our spot. When you spend all day driving and have to pick up dog poop before you set up your camper, it makes for an aggravating time. I don't blame the KOA for this, but it would be nice if the guy that worked/lived there, who was standing at his camper glaring at us as we pulled in, would have checked our spot.

Arrived late this night but was able to set up rather quickly. Thank you for leaving us our lot information in the late check-in box! The property was clean and everyone we talked to was extremely pleasant! Great Work!

Our trip from California to Houston was interrupted by a mechanical issue with our Vehicle and a medical issue with our Beagle. KOA Journey in Abilene was Able to adjust our reservation and extend our stay which allowed us to take care of these issues. The new management there was very helpful at every turn.

The folks running the site were very friendly and accommodating to our needs, when we thought we were going to need another night or late check out. Down side, was grass needed cutting and pool was accidentally locked by maintenance when they left for the day.

Arrived after hours, in the rain, in the dark. Site reserved was too short for my truck and bumper-pull trailer plus most of the site was under water, just great for plugging in power. I left. Campground had three low water crossings on the exit road all running nearly 1 ft in depth, no fault of the campground of course, but something to be aware of. Very doubtful of my return.

We stayed just for a weekend trip to just get away from home . It was a great get away! The people were nice , it was quiet and the bathrooms were amazing !!! I could use the bathrooms without feeling like I need to burn my clothes when I left ! We enjoyed it! If I could change anything is that it had a kids play ground more my son's age . He's 11 and a lot of the toys on the play ground were too little for him! But overall a great weekend !

Nice enough for a night or two, or longer if you don't mind a little highway noise and the occasional sound of a B1B taking off or landing in the distance. The Good: Clean bath/shower rooms with enough pressure and temp for a good hot shower. Nice little playground for the little kids. Nice little dog park for the furry family members. Good sized sites, level and hard pack/paved (we were in a pull thru) and full hookups. Nice laundry room with competitive pricing $3.50 for a wash and dry as of this writing. There's also a little book and "stuff" exchange area in the corner of the laundry room. The staff are friendly and jovial. The Meh: Cell coverage (we have Verizon and ATT with a WeBoost) and wifi coverage is poor to spotty, with the wifi being non-existent further back in campground. Highway noise and the lights from the motel next door are noticeable if you're in the front of the park. If you're planning to stay for a while, ask for a spot in the back of the park. If you need propane, get it prior to arrival as theirs is out of service and has been for at least a couple of months (we stopped here in February and it was out of service then, it's now April)...not sure if they have any plans to bring it back online or not. Overall: The good far outweighs the meh and this is a good stop along I-20 if you need to rest for a spell.

Great campsite! We stayed for one night, everything was ready for us whenever we got there, the bathrooms were extremely clean and heated/air conditioned! The dog park was super clean as well! We choose a pull through site and it was super easy and convenient! Only downfall was the wifi wasn't the best, but we are camping, so.
