General Campground Information

Check-in and Check-out Times

Check-out for all sites is 11:00 a.m.
Check-in for all rv and tent sites is 2:00 p.m, cabin check in is 3:00 p.m.  
If your site is available prior to 2:00 p.m. you may check in early with an early check in fee, there will be a $10.00 charge.
Late check-outs are available please contact the office before 10:00 a.m. if you wish to extend your stay.  Please contact the office if you need assistance.

Campground Cancellation Guidline

Abilene KOA follows the Campground Cancellation Guidelines listed for KOA - 
  • RV & Tent Sites:  7 days Cancellation Notice is required. Notify us by 4:00 p.m. 7 days before your scheduled arrival.
  • Camping Cabins:  14 days Cancellation Notice required. Notify us two weeks before your scheduled arrival.
  • Holiday & Special Events:  Call for more information.

Speed Limit

Please observe the 5 MPH maximum speed limit.

Posted speed limits are for the protection of our campers, their children and their pets.

Swimming Pool Information

The swimming pool is open Memorial Day thru Oct 1; 11:00 a.m. to dusk
Please note there is NO LIFEGUARD on duty.
Children under the age of 16 may not swim without an adult in attendance.
Swimsuits only - no street clothes or cutoffs. If you are swimming in street clothes, you will be asked to get out of the pool.
NO FOOD OR DRINK IN THE POOL AREA

Pet Information

We love pets at KOA
* Must be leashed at 6' or less
* Need help picking up after their messes – please help keep our campground clean!
* Kamp K9 is our fenced area next to the office for pets to play off leash
* May not use our people facilities including buildings, playground and pool
* May not be left unattended

Restrooms and Laundry Facilities

Restrooms and laundry facilities are open 24 hours. Restrooms have a code to the door PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THAT CODE OUT

Our housekeeping staff works to keep our restrooms clean, clean, clean. Help them out by letting the office staff know if a restroom needs attention.

Dish washing is prohibited in the restrooms for sanitary reasons.

Laundry machines use coins only.  A change machine is available for your convenience. 

Food Prep for Cabins

Health Department regulations do not allow cooking in the camping cabins. Please use outside grills and tables for food preparation and consumption.

Visitor Policy

Please have all VISITORS stop in and meet our staff at the front office to register for a day pass and review the rules of the park - all day passes are $5.

Parking

Please park vehicles only at your assigned site.
One Vehicle per site - extra vehicle to overflow.
Sites which appear to be vacant may have a reservation and should not be used as parking.
If additional parking is needed, check with our office regarding overflow areas and options.

Quiet Hours 10 p.m. 8 a.m.

Some people are early risers.  Some people are night owls.
Let's all agree to keep the peace between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

Campground etiquette

Please respect your neighbors by keeping conversation, radio, television, and musical instrument volume to a minimum.
The running of generators is not permitted.

Trash

It is our pleasure to pick up garbage from your site every morning. 
Please leave bagged garbage at the end of your site between 9 am and 4pm and we will dispose of it for you. 
For all other hours please utilize the dumpsters located around the park for your convenience. 
Do not leave garbage out overnight - critters WILL make a mess of our campground!

WIFI

Our staff provides you with a password to the campground WiFi at registration.
We offer a limited WIFI service for general use to like check emails and browse sites.
Our system is not designed to perform tasks that needs more bandwidth (such as Skype, movie downloads, streaming video, etc.).
If you have trouble getting online, come to our campground office and we will be happy to assist you.

Propane Only Fire Pitts & BBQ's

BBQ's and Fire Pitts must be propane.  We do not allow burning of wood or charcoal.
