What a setting! Campsites here dot a shady meadow along the Provo River a few minutes west of downtown. The Wasatch Mountains rise to the east, and 151-square-mile Utah Lake borders the city on the west. Right from the campground, stroll, bike and exercise pets on the 14-mile paved Provo River Parkway Trail. If the kids get their fill of the pool and game room, you'll discover plenty of room for outdoor activities at a neighboring park. Also nearby is Utah's largest water park, Seven Peaks, and Robert Redford's Sundance, a mountain resort hidden away in the folds of the Wasatch that offers hiking, horseback riding and great dining. Four miles up Provo Canyon, Bridal Veil Falls plummets 607 feet to the Provo River.
