Wildlife Awareness

Connecting with nature and wildlife. Various types of wildlife big and small may be found on and around this campground. Be alert and give them distance and respect. Keep dogs on a leash and properly store food, trash and cooking supplies. Your safety and the future of wildlife depend on you.

Trash Policy

Please keep your sites tidy! Trash is not permitted to be left out overnight. The dumpsters are located near both sections of the campsites for your convenience. Please close doors and lids after disposing of your garbage. If management must clean up your site, there will be a $25 fee.

The speed limit throughout the park is 5 MPH.

Pet Policy

KampK9  is available for your pets! Pets must be leashed at all times. Please clean up after your pet. Pets are not permitted in any building or play area. We do have pet-friendly rooms. There is a $25 per pet stay fee for these accommodations that are non-refundable.

Swimming and Tubing in the River

Swim at your own risk! Children under 14 must be supervised by an adult. River depth and speed can fluctuate very quickly, even if it is not raining at the campground. If you suddenly notice the water turning muddy, exit the river immediately, as this is a sign that flash flooding is imminent. Life jackets are strongly recommended for all ages when swimming or tubing in the river. All persons, including visitors, legally agree to release Winona/New River KOA Journey, any affiliate businesses, and its employees from any and all injuries or damages incurred while swimming, kayaking, canoeing or tubing.
