Came for a week long event, it was rained out, so, we just hung out and say the sights! It was great!

This was our first KOA visit in about 20 years. The Wendover KOA was packed for the Bonneville Salt Flats Speed Week & was at 100% capacity. Despite all the people, the bathrooms, showers, and grounds were always clean and the pool was inviting. Free coffee in the mornings was an unexpected and welcome bonus. The travel shop offered convenient items we had forgotten to pack. We'll be back.

We were scheduled for 3 nights so we could attend Speed Week but the event was canceled due to rain. KOA was very accommodating and let us stay just one night with no penalty.

I have been staying at the Wendover KOA for many years generally during Speed Week in August. Lucy is great and is always polite and accommodating. Give her a raise!

The campground is well maintained and we felt safe leaving our trailer there while we explored the area. The staff is very warm and welcoming too. Can’t wait until next year!

The staff were great, the grounds were good for being in the desert. The only reasons I didn't give is top rating is one, no ventilation or air of any kind in the bathrooms/showers, second, no sewer hook ups, only a dump station. With the threat of still being able to get Covid I wanted to use my RV for the bathroom facilities. I have a 21 ft. trailer with only 35 gl grey/blk tanks.

Basic necessities met. A bit stark with gravel dog runs, the location was great and served well for an overnight

Sadly we came for Speed Week and it was a wash out. Found the staff very friendly. Campers were mostly there for the same reason so the atmosphere was a good one.

It was great need more 50 amp sites

Entrance needs to be smoothed out for big rigs. Go very slow turning in. Otherwise it’s as good as Eastern NV gets….

It's a nice place with friendly staff. There's no wifi which was a problem for me. But that's the only negative I have.

Place is well kept and very clean. Large spaces

Campsite is easy to navigate and check in was quick. The bathrooms and showers were not air conditioned and very warm inside. Given how warm it was (98 degrees at 6pm) I expected the facilitates would be temperature controlled. The showers were also dirty when we arrived and the shower stalls were also extremely small.

The young girl when checking in was not friendly and when I asked her about my KOA discount she said you already got it and looking at my receipt I didn't. Bathrooms were clean. Park was clean.

Nice to have hookups in the heat on way home from long trip. Quiet. Only complaint is they have railroad ties around where your dump is and wouldn't drain over that so I had to keep picking the hose up to get it to drain over the railroad ties. Clean. They need to cut a spot for sewer hoses to fir through and drain level.

At $51 for water/electric only, it is severely overpriced. Got there at 3:22 and the office was closed, note on door said back at 4pm. Clerk came back at 3:55. We found our site assignment on the door and went and parked. Decided to unhook because it was easier than getting out several stacks of levelers to raise the back. Did two loads of laundry, $3 per load, very reasonable. All machines were working. Washers are newer. Dryers are like from the 1970's but still work! Bathrooms screamed 1970's but were clean and everything was working, though all the drain stoppers had been removed. Showers were clean and did get hot, but be careful because the water gets scalding. Recreation room locked up and just being used for storage. Pool closed for season. Mini-Golf fell into disrepair and long since abandoned. The dumpster area doesn't have a dumpster, just 4 trash cans. Cheaper than a dumpster I guess. Walked by the cabins and peeked in, noticed how clean the windows all were. Everything is clean. But maintenance is neglected. Picnic tables are weather worn and peeling. Broken screens on cabins. Door to sink room broken. Some outside lights don't work and looks like copper has been stolen from some street lights. The place was mostly deserted, we were on the north side which is water/electric only and by morning there were just 3 occupied sites out of 6 entire rows. The full hook-up sites on the south side were fuller but there were still 4 empty rows. Maybe the place is more seasonal. Place is located behind the Red Garter Casino but is very quiet. There is a 'Night Watchman' booth at the entrance but it is abandoned. There is a yellow KOA standard sign on the wall with the phone number to the manager but it is so old that it doesn't have the area code. Not even sure if you could dial 7-digits and have a call connect? Went into the office once the clerk came back and got officially checked in. All the coolers and freezers in the store are empty and un-plugged. Very little for sale in the store. Again, maybe they are more seasonal. A young couple who were car camping came in and asked how much it was for just a shower and how much for a tent-site. $10 for a shower, $40 for a tent site. I almost invited them to pay for an extra vehicle and stay in our site but they left before I was done checking in. I felt bad for them. This place was only ever 20% occupied. I'd have given them a tent site with showers for $20 if I were that clerk. Adjacent to the park on the south side is another section of trailers and mobile homes for permanent residents. To be able to use the dump site you have to drive out via the in-lane. Then you have to go past the abandoned night watchman shack to turn around and drive back in via the out-lane. And whoever does maintenance is un-skilled. I saw several sidewalks with plumbing running on top of the original sidewalk and then more concrete slathered on top of that so that you don't trip on the pipes. Who does that?

Spring 2024 - My husband and I spent a few days at the Wendover KOA in early spring, so the park wasn't bustling with activity. While we didn't utilize many of the amenities on offer, we found it to be quiet with average interior roads and access easy to navigate, albeit showing signs of wear typical of many KOAs. Our AT&T cell service worked great.

We arrived after the office had closed. But after reading the reviews I wanted to meet the manager or owners. I met Lucy the manager. There was not many campers buy she had placed our camping spot with a space btwn us and the other camper, that was very considerate of her. Showers very clean and the water pressure was great. I give this spot a thumbs up! 👍
