Great amenities here, including gas AND diesel. We did have a slight problem on arrival, namely our sewage connection had been destroyed by a prior tenant. Manager Zach quickly found us another site with working hookups and we really appreciate his concern for our situation and his speedy response. While this was a transit stop for us, this KOA would be great as a destination. Cool fireworks too!

My wife and I had a relaxing time at the waterloo IA Koa. This campground was very clean with very friendly staff. Beach was awesome too.

Great large sites We stayed during the week, it was quiet. Need more help/employees at registration and store. When we checked in one employee was handling registration, phone ,store, food and gas as credit cards were not working at a pump.

Was excited to camp there because of the amenities that I saw the campground had to offer but when we got there we had trouble with the water so I couldn't hook direct to the camper. Then the WIFI wouldn't work and I was hoping to use it. Tried to camp next to my sister but was told we had to set that ahead of time but the spot next to her so open the whole time so idk why I couldn't just go there

this is our 4th stay here and we will come again. The staff, especially Zack and Ben were very professional and hel[ful. Everything is well maintained and clean. We were even able to fill our propane tank on site.

Poor customer service and communication. Rates are the same as others with less amenities. Lack of trash pickup.

Beach had excessive goose poop. Swimming area not the greatest. Convenient location for theme and amusement park. Water at our full hookup site (42) leaks terrible so we were not able to use full hookups. Gem sluice hit with the kids. Playground was mediocre. If you had a pool would be moloch nicer and get used a ton as swimming area was dirty.

My husband and I are retired, not into theme or water parks, and picked Waterloo as a stopping point along the way on a longer trip. Families with children seemed to really enjoy the location, but we were disappointed by the lack of shade and the fact that only two of the three sinks in the bathrooms we used functioned.

The bathrooms were never cleaned and we stayed there for 3 nights. The pond smelled and was rather shallow. A pool would definitely benefit that place.

The lake is too small and shallow for hot summers in Iowa to be safe for swimming. It looked green and questionable on whether we should be swimming in it in mid July. The highway is noisy but that can't really be helped. electric maintenance equipment would be nice so we don't have to listen to extra noise. The lift used for painting could be electric so you aren't wasting gas or polluting

Our 4th time staying at this campground and we will never be back. This campground was disgusting. We checked in on a Friday and left on a Monday and during that while time, the bathrooms were never cleaned. Trash thrown everywhere, piles of dead bugs all around, and unusable dirty toilets. They would replace the toilet paper but never cleaned. They had to see the mess. KOA lost a customer

Very nice camp locations. Beautiful accommodations and fireworks for the 4th were second to none!! I can truthfully say that our only disappointment was with the height of our sewer drain. It was a concern to the point that we had to prop up the entire drain hose on wood blocking to allow the flow to move toward the drain. I have already recommended your KOA to other travelers.

The grounds were very nice but I was really put off by the dozens of dead cockroaches on the floor in the laundry room. I opted to finish my washing somewhere else.

We were only there for one night. It was a quick stop to a further destination. However, I could see us coming back there to spend some time with our grandkids. They were sad that they didn’t get a swim. Our sons did get to do just a little bit of fishing and caught some fish. This was our first day at the KOA. We will be definitely be looking for more as we travel out west and back home.

The campground was nice and up to date. The one thing I would like improved is having someone to monitor the beach for waste. Someone let a very large dog poop all over the beach and no one cleaned it up. It was pretty gross to use the beach while I was there.

Made last minute reservation and it worked out beautifully. Staff was friendly and the campground was clean. Can't wait for our next visit! Love the free shuttles to the parks!

Beautiful campground with a great staff. Be aware the city has changed the street and address that doesn’t match up when using map apps on your phone. Read the printed directions or call ahead. Once you do that it’s not a problem.

We had a very nice stay at the Waterloo KOA. Pretty grounds, and a nice beach with a little lake to swim in. Great store with everything you could want. They do not have a pool since the water resort is next door. Was not very busy so it was nice and quiet at night. The workers seemed helpful and friendly. Overall, was a nice place to stop through.

The rate is a little high - but there’s a lot of amenities to consider. Overall, we were pleased with our stay and plan to return next year. Our only gripe was the 3rd vehicle parking. We’ve camped over 750 nights in the last 12 yrs and have never experienced any issues with 2nd/3rd vehicle parking. There’s typically overflow parking on site. Due to the holiday weekend told - None.

We had a great stay at the Waterloo KOA! The campground was clean and quiet, with a beautiful lakefront area perfect for swimming. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location couldn’t be better—just minutes from an awesome amusement and water park. Our only complaint was that the tram hours kept changing without notice, which led to us doing a lot more walking than planned.

This is a very large and well maintained campground. The sites were all level and large. We did not use the amenities based on being so close to the water and adventure parks but the beach etc looked nice. The pricing cannot be beat for full hookup sites.

Went to the theme park and then stayed the night in a pop-up camper. We had a blast! Very easy to check in, the campground was clean, and there was plenty to do to keep even my toddler occupied. I appreciate the convivence store, it gave me piece of mind knowing there was a place to pick up last minute items.
