Four starts instead of five due to an unwelcoming check in. The woman with red hair that checked us in acted like she did not want to be there. When my husband came for propane he said the same thing about his interaction although he did not recall if she had red hair as there was another woman at the front desk as well. Hopefully it's just one employee that needs a talking to.

Lovely place, spacious paved campsites, grassy areas, no mud, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, friendly staff, clean lake, love the spacious area between gas pumps! Love gasoline fill up feature

We were initially booked for two nights in an RV, but due to engine issues with our truck, we ended up staying a week. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. This is a great KOA, with numerous cabins, and rental items for use on the lake. The park is close to both a water and amusement parks, and a shuttle is available. Sites were spacious and it was easy to maneuver with a 44 foot rig.

Wonderful park. Easy in and out. We stay at a lot of KOA. This is the FIRST TIME we were NOT escorted to our site and when we got to our site it was already taken so we had to call the office to get another site. Thankful the park wasn’t busy. First impression was not good.

Best KOA I have ever stayed in and I have been camping my entire life. Especially for the price!!! The only drawback is the sewer connection is at the back of our site and had to use 3 hoses to dump.

The fire pit was full from the previous campers, and never cleaned up. Other than that, it's a beautiful place to stay, with spotless and friendly staff. The campsite was very empty, and we had specifically requested/, when booking in January or February, to be near our friends with whom we were traveling. Instead, we were very far away. This made sharing meals with them difficult.

Staff were nice but slow. Nothing for kids to do. Pond needs some work and tending too. Its pretty gross. There are super clean sites. Decent prices in the convenience store. The wifi doesn't work. Don't forget your walking shoes or scooter to get around. Definitely need a pool.

This is the nicest KOA park we have ever stayed at, facilities were well maintained and clean, very roomy sites and a good sized dog park. The only negative, which is sadly common in many parks, was the sewer connections, water just doesn't flow up hill!

We had a patio site way in the back corner B-9 which was a good thing! We brought our fencing for our dog but couldn’t keep it up cause by Thursday we couldn’t see him anymore the grass was so high. On Friday when we were paying $90.00 a nite . The office lied to us and said they were going to mow and let you know! Never coming back again!! Hay field! $90.00 a nite!!

Our 5th time here and I am happy to say that there has been a major improvement in upkeep and staffing. We almost didn't come back after last year, but there has been a great turnaround and we will be back. Just a couple of ideas: people drive WAY too fast through the campground - install some speed bumps. The geese are out of control on the beach; goose poop in water is concerning. Thanks!

Very nice campground. No bugs, clean bathrooms, plenty of onsite and nearby activities. The shuttle to the water park & amusement park was a nice addition. This was our second visit this summer. The gas station and store is a great convenience, but they were out of some basic necessities this trip. We will stay again next year for sure!

We love the resort and all the many things to do there. Our site was small in the way of green space compared to a few other sites we have stayed in. The chocolate slip n slide was awesome. We enjoyed the movie and snacks. If hadn’t been chilly, we would have stayed for the whole thing!

The grass in the back in sites was long and should have been mowed. Also the site had many dead branches of brush laying all around that should have been picked up. Otherwise the location was great and bathrooms were good.

All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The campsites were level and neat. Bathroom and showers were wonderful. Most of all the beach and swimming area was absolutely wonderful. Very nice place to camp!

All the bathrooms were closed! One employee & the signs on the doors said they were vandalized the day we arrived. However, 3 other guest told us they had been closed for almost a week. The morning we left, there was a Well Repair company there. Obviously the campground knew the bathrooms didn't work & no one bothered to tell us at booking or upon arrival. We would have never booked to stay here.

Although we were there 5 days, it didn't seem long enough. One thing id like to comment on is the wifi service would knock you off right in the middle of doing something. I even tried at 3:00 am and couldn't conect. Maybe a friendly reminder fork guest to disconnect their wifi when not in use so others can get on. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

Neighbors extremely loud/obnoxious until 1am, next to where our kids sleep. The after hrs AND emergency numbers did not work. In the morning, we spoke to the front desk. His response? "It's ok. Your children can sleep on the road." Seriously? We asked for a call from a mgr, which we still haven't received. Bathrooms were dirty, amenities lacking. Nearby amusement parks fun, but cost addtl $$$.

I don’t think you can classified Waterloo KOA as a resort. All it had was a dirty pond with a beach. Besides having to push the button every five seconds, the shower water temperature was only hot and no one can do anything about it. When we were there it was understaffed. For a Holiday I was expecting more. We weren't lead to our campsite like other KOA's do to make sure everything is ok. We asked for wood to be delivered and they said they couldn't. The Lake was very dirty and goose poop was all over the beach. Very disappointed in this KOA. Much better options for KOA's than this one.

The 30 amp hook up kept tripping, had to use 50 amp , lucky for me I had adapter. Also the fire ring was really far away , would be difficult for seniors to haul chairs and fire wood.

When we arrived someone had taken our assigned spot, which was right next to the beach as requested when we made our reservation many weeks prior, and staff did nothing about it. The shuttle service was unreliable on a busy day, forcing us to walk from the campground to the Waterpark. The beach ended up being covered in goose droppings and no one cleaned it up. And why are there NO trash cans?

Check-in was very quick and easy, staff was welcoming, gave clear directions to our site and asked if we had any questions. Easy to move within park to site and set up. Grounds were very clean and well maintained. Park was very quiet, traffic noise that was expected from nearby Highway 20 was pretty much non-existent. Proximity to water and theme parks was a plus.

I enjoy the convenience of the location. I wish there were more activities for kids such as crafts. I feel some of the sites need to be more level and holes filled in.

This is a very large and well maintained campground. The sites were all level and large. We did not use the amenities based on being so close to the water and adventure parks but the beach etc looked nice. The pricing cannot be beat for full hookup sites.

Went to the theme park and then stayed the night in a pop-up camper. We had a blast! Very easy to check in, the campground was clean, and there was plenty to do to keep even my toddler occupied. I appreciate the convivence store, it gave me piece of mind knowing there was a place to pick up last minute items.
