We had wonderful stays, both at the beginning and end of a 5-week trip! What a lovely surprise on the 2nd visit, July 6th, to discover that there would be a fireworks show in celebration of Independence Day! It was well done and enjoyed by all. We also enjoyed the discounted tickets to the waterpark…we needed to cool down after a LONG drive! We’ll be back on the next western trip for us.

Fireworks were awesome. Best we’ve seen there in the years we’ve been coming. Should definitely use that same company again. Could start them a little earlier like 9:30 1st time we attended pancake breakfast. Food was great. Need more chairs at the beach area. Internet connection was spotty. We truly had a wonderful stay. Our cabin was perfect, AC worked well. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Lots for the kids to do. It really keeps them off the electronics! The fireworks show was next level amazing! Thanks for a perfect holiday! #memoriesmade

Campground checkin was confusing as there is no sign when you enter to check in at the Convenient Store. Bathrooms (Woman and Mens) need more attention. They were not bad but lots of bugs and spider webs. Got lost trying to find campground because Google Maps took us to a Mobile Home Community. We used three different GPS apps and the La Porte address. None of them could get us to the park. Maybe look into notifying folks about the best address or better directions to the park.

We have been staying at this campground for of a number of years now.We usually rent 6-8 of the cabins and 2-3 families camp with a camper.I would say the cabins are in dire need of maintenance and up keep!It is sad to see this great resource go attended.

We stay here every Fourth of July weekend and every year we have a blast! Fun activities with a bounce house, slide and the beach! We also went to the theme park for a day, and wow - it was an amazing experience! Can’t recommend enough!

The resort was very clean and family friendly. My grandchildren enjoyed fishing in the lake. The Proprietors Matt and Aimee were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The fireworks show was amazing this year. This is the third year that we booked our 4th of July celebration at KOA. We plan on making this a family tradition since we have always had a great time at the Waterloo KOA park.

Great 4th of July fireworks! My kids loved the bouncy house and bubble slide and slip n' slide! These extras are why we make the reservation for the 4th of July weekend, and everyone is very friendly, staff and other campers!

Second time staying and we enjoyed again. It's great for group camping with the spacious spots, beach, and water/amusement parks. Love the split dog park, and was able to do laundry quickly before heading to the next place.

Add a swimming Pool, not everyone wants to swim in the Pond with the Carp. Too many kids driving golf carts too fast with no adults.

We had a great time staying at this campground! The staff was helpful, kind, and understanding (as we were newbies and didn't know all the the rules). We tent camped and the tent pad area was a good size and included a fire pit and picnic table. The facilities were in good condition and clean. My only complaint about them was the water temperature was not adjustable and was way too hot for my 3yo.

The Fourth of July weekend festivities were great! That said, the campground itself is pretty pitiful! The campsights on the hills had the sewer inlet UPHILL from where the camping vehicle had to park, and any plumber can tell you sh#* will not run up hill!! And talk about a parking lot! In a few years some of the campsites might have shade, but this place was designed to be an RV PARKING LOT!

our first koa resort and at first appearance it looked great super large huge property 66 acres gas station beautiful front building go in the door 1 person checking campers, taking care of store and handling gas prbm This is the first ever koa that did not have escort as time goes by the property was in much need of landscaping saw 2 ppl cutting for 3 hrs bath need cleaning need more ppl to work

Stayed at site 036. The water valve was so hard to open amd close that it smashed my finger. Please fix it.

Nice campground. Quite large with a lot of roads to sites. I did not receive a guide to the site and took me several tries to find my spot. I would ask for a ranger to take you to your site if you are heading to the full hookup pull through sites. Otherwise no complaints.

I’ve been here many times and I tell others every time I’ve stayed, this is just one of those places that’s a a bit different than other places. The staff everybody that keeps up on the grounds, do such amazing job. of making sure all needs are taken care of. Simply put it’s, amazing.

For a resort level KOA, I am disappointed. The staff when checking in seem inconvenienced. There should be an escort to the site. Even small ones do.

The staff was great, and the check-in was great. I come back to this campground once a year. I like its location, that it has a store and a gas station with diesel.

Perfect spot if you plan to attend Lost Island Waterpark/Theme park. Only negative would be the showers - it’s the push to have the water running for a time limit. Although those kinds are annoying, my real concern was for my kids (ages 8 and 6). The push button was high up so they didn’t have the strength to push it.

Nice stay at a big park. Grounds were pretty well taken care of. The sites are starting to get overgrown with grass/weeds, but mine was level and we had no issues.

Nice campground! We'd definitely stay again. Close to the waterpark and amusement park. The only downfall is the sewer hookup is on a slope, but the majority of campsites are on a hill.

Depending on which person waited on us--the one that I dealt with on the phone making our reservations was great and very pleasant and quite possibly was one of the girls that checked us in. The other person at check in wasn't as accommodating. Everything else was fine, except that grass areas that were without campers could be mowed more often. Prices are going up too much everywhere, sadly.

I’m amazed every time I come here, the staff is awesome. Everybody is so helpful. Matt and Aimee are awesome. The grounds are kept up with, The lake is beautiful. It seems like every time I go doesn’t matter who else is there everybody gets along.. good conversation, good energy. I love this place.

Clean, beautifully landscaped and comfortable stay. The guest reception building was clean and modern. The shower had water conservation in mind but a bit of work to constantly push the turn-on button every 5 seconds for a gentle spray. All in all, a very nice stay!

This campground is one of our favorites! The restrooms are always clean. The employees are so nice, helpful, and accommodating. We love KOA Lost Island and will continue coming back year after year! Thank you!

Beautiful campground, level sites, pull thru site had everything easily accessible. Nice lake , plenty of walking areas. Great water pressure.

We stayed here doing a cross country road trip. We didn't get there until after dark. Our online registration had gotten mixed up, but the onsite person took good care of us, and even took us to our site. He was very appreciated! We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.
