Ok, well maybe not exactly but the Headwaters of the Missouri is where the expedition was faced with a decision on how to proceed west. The Madison River, the Jefferson River, the Gallatin River? Explore the nearby Montana Headwaters State Park and re-visit the vistas and paths the expedition party hunted and camped whilst making the next move. The Lewis and Clark Caverns (not discovered by them) is a great day trip to explore the stalactites and stalagmites in the deep caverns. We look forward to meeting you for a day or a week at the newest KOA in Montana.
